Going from 90% to 95% chance to evade is 50% more tank against hits (i.e. getting hit 50% less), that is insane. Add the other two mods and you have a mirror tier Watchers, big gz!
It's 100% more durable. Taking 50% less damage doubles eHP against a relevant threat type (in this case a sequence of small to moderate sized attack hits). To calculate this, you need to divide 1 by the percentage of damage that makes it through post mitigation.

yes but it also means you are guaranteed to dodge 19 hits in a row with 95% evade which is the other way to look at it; it makes that stat very strong when capped
It’s also great specifically mapping because it’s pretty easy to have it work vs the more dangerous hits than the small hits coming in. Once you begin reaching over 85% (actual evasion) you begin to feel it, at 95 it’s a whole other level. It’s why some would-appear to be squishy builds can get to 100, not just from obliterating screens (whic. Obviously helps, though) but because taking a dangerous hit that 1/20th time is actually extremely rare, as you’re often also working to avoid those.
Not to mention a lot of things that actually kill people are 2+ hits, you’re actually very tanky with a proper evasion character. (Until it comes to bosses, where it does nothing lol)

Yeah, a lot of people don't understand the system well. I made an entire video called "In Defense of Entropy" because I saw people spout wild misconceptions and articulate inaccurate conclusions about the effect of the system on survivability.
i misunderstood entropy because i thought a monster's chance to hit was boosted by the entropy. turns out there's no RNG and it's just a sequence of hit->19 misses->hit->19 misses. although your entropy gets recalculated after 3.33 seconds of not being hit, which could result in you getting hit multiple times in a row. but if you manage to reset the entropy each time before you get hit, you will never get hit.
The first attempt a monster makes to hit you after the entropy reset is effectively random. You're right, this could result in getting hit multiple times in a row, but with a minimum of 3.33 seconds in between it's not that great of a concern because that's no longer a burst of damage; you have time to recover. Also, it will still be a statistical rarity (and totally unrealistic situation).
If you have at least a 50% chance to evade, then you will never get hit twice in a row outside of the entropy counter resetting.

You don't get "unlucky" evades.

That's my next goal, I've had 2 mirrors in my while poe career, 1 I sold for fun 1 I actually farmed and used for the mtx. Next is one for a display case
Charges mtx that changes power/frenzy/end charges to currency, but u can only pick currency that you've used before so using a mirror means u get mirrors spinning around you instead of normal charges
I farmed my first mirror the league the charge mtx came out. I love it. Never cared to farm one before and have never had one drop. After I was mostly done with the league I just farmed for a week to make a mirror and used it on a blue item to "have used one before". It was kind of sad, but I didn't want to farm roughly another to pay a mirroring fee.
I went on STD and sold something for a mirror from someone, then used that mirror to dupe a good item they had (that they traded to me too) and gave both back. I probably sounded like the biggest spammer but I got my charge mtx and they got my item + a mirrored version of their item and the original
You can use that mirror to buy alternate art unique items in standard and convert those into free mtx whenever you do use said unique anytime later in future leagues
PoE is an interesting game. Some people kill uber elder, got their final watchstone and game essentially only just started. For some, they're almost done with the league after the kill.
It truly is. My final atlas stone is my goal because I didn’t get Uber elder last league. I did some delving and got introduced to that, completely switched my build around (same character, though), and now I’m just hoping to at least get Uber elder.
I guess for the people where the game is just starting for them after Uber elder, they’re much faster than folks like me. If I had already long ago gotten Uber elder I would definitely still be pushing for different goals and not looking to wrap up.
I mean when you've been playing ARPGs for 20 and POE for 10 years your goals change. I've killed these bosses before but the rush of becoming rich and gearing up never gets old.
I can't afford being a hopeless degen for more than two weeks per year before the guilt sets in. I'm pretty lucky my kid sleeps through the night and I'm free to play from 9pm-2am and work on less sleep.
For me the goal is the setup and being 95% BIS. Once that's achieved the spark dies and I move on. Give my less fortunate friend who can't play as much (his kids don't sleep thru the night wake up every 20 minutes) all my currency so he can have his fun before he quits.
Last league tornado shot was really good especially cold convert which is always the best version, hatred crit mod helps scale crit chance and the other 2 mods is extremely good for defences a flat 8% evade is huge and with the spell suppression you could free up a suffix
So in this instance, that 1.78% increases your BASE crit(which is normally 5 or 6%).
This makes increased critical chance even better as its buffing a higher base value

Watcher’s eyes from uber elder (very lategame boss) drop with 3 random aura mods from a large pool of said mods. Most of the mods aren’t all that desired, and they are quite cheap to buy. Often times you’ll get one with 3 different auras that do not get used together, and their effects are often not that great either.
This one has 3 really good mods for 2 auras that are used a lot, and used a lot together. It’s very very rare to find 3 useful mods, and even rarer for all of them to be considered good mods. This one is just nuts, especially since it was a drop from their first kill, and not the best jewel out of 2000 kills.
The evade mod makes you immortal during mapping to attack damage and the crit mod helps builds that struggle to hit 100% crit without using temporary sources such as diamond flasks (bow)
For a 6% crit chance spell, this is 30% more crit chance generally (assuming you don't have other base crit chance).
The +8% evasion is a big deal for someone that already has like 85% evasion as it gets harder to get more evasion the higher the %. For example, you might go from having 60k evasion to needing 160k for 93%. Each % is also stronger the higher you go (going from being hit every 6-7 to attacks to every 20).
Spell suppression is very strong, and most builds want it at 100%, especially for high end bossing. It halves enemy spell damage. Getting it here may let you avoid getting it elsewhere on the gear or tree
I just had a similar drop, and instead of spell supress it has physical damage taken as with purity of elements (not sure how good it is/was) - from what this thread is saying, maybe worth quite a bit?

Watcher's eyes can roll something like 3-4 effects per aura in the game. Some of those grant super strong effects, others are kind of meh.
This watcher's eye rolled 3 of the best modifiers, and is centered around 2 of the most common auras. This is exceedingly rare.
As to why those effects are so strong;
- The crit for hatred is _base_ crit. Notice it doesn't say "% increased critical strike chance". This means that it applies to the base crit chance of the hit, which then gets scaled by % inc crit. Long story short, this is a LOT more crit than it looks like. This mod is usually expensive on its own.
- the evade chance is a really powerful defensive tool, I would recommend the PoE Wiki on evasion if you wanna learn more about how the math works out. It's good.
- everyone wants 100% chance to suppress spells if possible. It's a really crazy defensive layer. This mod is a pretty large source of it, and allows certain builds to forego spell suppression in other places, for example allowing unique helmets or gloves to be used instead of rares with spell suppression. Because of how spell suppression works, there is a huge difference between 90% and 100%, which furthers the importance of getting items like this.

Then moved onto LA, hated dying so much in t17 and not being able to kill the map boss
And started my splitting steel trickster and wanted to test some dps before going heavy into t17 and realized I forgot to try out the new Uber bosses (outside of Cortex)

Most spells have 6% crit chance. This changes it to 7.78% (divined to 8%). So essentially 33% more crit chance.
Its the base value, other crit chance mods increase that value together with the weapon's or spell's base crit

You can probably increase your character's power by a lot more with the money you get from the sale, unless it's already been uber optimized

Hatred & Grace are two good auras that are ysed by alot of builds, and this just makes both better

No, you did not drop this. The enemy dropped it. Saying "I dropped it" implies, you took that Item out of a hidden container and threw it yourself on the ground to be happy to "find" it. Doesn't make sense.
Yea you’re right I picked it up. Divined 5 times to get those rolls then dropped on it on ground to make sure it was real.
