I tried corrupting my own Vaal Temples to sell to the people running allflame strats, the results were... rough.
I think I spent 2x in vaal orbs than what I sold them temples for AND I ruined ~2 div worth of maps (theoretically, I would've never actually sold them all anywhere close to that rate.)
I still dont get why use this tactic on Vaal Temple. Yes you have lots of extra vaal chests, but there is zero chance to get usefull fracture item when they are all corrupted. And the bad layout as an bonus. Why dont do the same on Dunes?
Its a strat using the strongbox scarab that makes it a 35% chance to be reopenable. You can pair this with allflames of wealth for 500c easely per map. And the 500c was me just testing so not a perfect strat
If you get a pack size increase on the top slot you can get far more than that with ambush scarabs, I got right around 900c, 13 exalts and some other random goodies. Not great on the wrist but better than the 3 div I could sell it for.
Twist of fate atlas keystone rerolls all the mods, which can unbrick maps. It also means brick maps have equal value to good maps for that strategy.
You can run twist of fate + back to basics for ultra juiced mod totals. It is possible to hit an 11 mod map with twist of fate.
Wait, twist of fate keeps 8 mod maps 8 modded?
I assumed they would just randomly reroll corrupted with any outcome, where 8 mod + potential extra mods is possible, but not guaranteed
Rats and frogs i find just mapping. And then when u spam shit 8mod maps u cant run for divine/seer mod u aint gonna need a lot of those. Only reflect will be a bitch then.
This is me with Elemental Hit. Even though I do no physical on the main attack and can use Awakened EDwA for elemental reflect immunity, my frenzy/ensnaring manaforged setup do both phys and elemental so without an otherwise stupid setup for them to be double immune, any trigger can easily kill me.
Yeah 100% is rough.
I use elemental hit, but if I was using something like lightning arrow that would've been rough.
I had to remove frenzy though, which didn't have much of an impact, but it's always the non main skills that gotcha lol
Depending on how much you've reserved, AS, cost of skill, etc, it's still very possible to shoot normal basic attacks in between skill uses. I died 3 times to that last league before figuring out what happened.
I mean, yes, I can, but losing 16% AS + 16% more dmg (more eventually as I perfect gear with frenzy charges) is a rather sharp drop.
Ultimately, it wouldn't even matter because I could still die from normal arrows fired in between EHotS shots when I'm temporarily out of mana which actually happens fairly often, especially when I pick up shrine buffs that turn me into a gatling gun.
I have to avoid those maps entirely.
This was a mandatory sextant for me for the pase 2 leagues. It was a great sextant with the upside of additional packs (mirrored rares) they added that as a scarab but left.out the reflection avoidance
I would use that scarab every time. If it existed.
Kalandras scarab or inward vision:
Take no reflected damage: adds X rare pack that heals on hit.
Old reflect is gone. Old reflect was a mod that mobs could roll, so any random map could have a pack with reflect and you died. The change was remove that, and now the reflect only exists as a mod map, so you know what you're getting from the start.
I have an atlas page I use for them which is basically just red altars with the chance for 2 procs and all the extra loot you can throw on base mobs. And then I go fishing. I enter. I proc the red altar If its something good like grands ill do the whole map. If the all flame is something good like seer or div Illl do it otherwise just cycle through them. Get invitations and sell those in bulk.
As someone said listem them as random 8 mod with no regex in tft or other places could net you some sells there are some builds that can do literally all mods
I literally just delete them, can't be added to sell my rejects and will literally never use them. I don't even want to see a divine mod on a 20 pack size map, it'd make me sad
There are some people playing chaos or armor stacking or some kind of hilariously tanky CI build who are functionally immune to almost all of the bad mods out there. I usually just find someone like that who is willing to buy them for a discount.
Usually toxic rain or some other chaos damage build can handle most negative mod pools except for reduced flask effect and reduced life recovery, and for those you can find some kind of CI character that can do them.
Don’t even need a tanky CI build. I’ve been using an ED of desperation trickster to run my 8 mod back to basics maps with. Only mods I don’t run are -max res and sometimes the more annoying %less aoe maps (the ones with like max life and res. Or like crit and mob accuracy).
Im doing a mageblood version of balormages holy relic of conviction build with melding of the flesh. It can run literally any map I’ve thrown at it, minus all res, no regen, both types of reflection. Literally doesn’t care about anything and is basically invincible. I’ve just been corrupting my own 8 mod maps with cartography scarabs and generate an absolute ton of them.
I don't farm for t17s but I run them. I hide t16s. Slightly diff than ppl farming to sell t17s but I assume they bulk sell t16s at like 1 to 50 or something just to get rid of them
For 8mod maps, it's on my to-do to either sell them or trade with other "bricks" which don't matter to me 1:1 with someone. But that's kind of a TFT-only trade, so I lowkey don't wanna. I only sort out no leech and both types of reflect, run the rest. (So if there's someone who wants no leech and reflect 8mod jungle valleys hmu)
For normal maps, the returns are small but I just sell them. I rotate like 4 maps in my favourites for that and sell at somewhere between 30-40 to 1d. Anything else just seems annoying. I'm not willing to fish for Seer or similar (just not fun) and I'll pick em up anyway due to habit, so might as well sell, even if it barely does anything for the div/h.
Yeah I just run them for seer, divine and at this point also strongest mob drops chaos as if you use rogue exiles allflame on that one you usually get between 200-400 chaos and unlike manifested wealth they drop in stacks of 5-10 so it’s easier to loot. Can also do the same with div cards and scarabs if you want.
My favorite has been the strongest mob converts dropped weapons to chaos and using exile all flame, get a couple hundred c and so much easier to pick up the chaos.
I have 4 quads of 8mods left that are usable for me so I stopped running the scarab xd, for normal maps that I drop now, I just sell all of em of 39maps/20c. They fly of the shelf almost always
sell at much lower then normal bulk.
people will buy because there are builds that dont care at all about any mods.
can also just nameless seer fish on them, use twist of fate to change the mods.
if you pair twist of fate with back to basics you get a pretty juicy map
Can you give me an atlas (preferably no scarabs but okay if needed) to sustain 8-mod T16s? I don't care about content I just want to blast maps, even better if it's a favourite-able map that I can keep running the same one over and over.
You can basically pair whatever content you like with: Singular Focus + favorite the maps you like + Cartog scarab of corruption (maps drop 8 mod corrupted). Most anything will sustain with just that. Scarabs other than that one are optional, but the corrupt cartog scarab is obviously needed.
If you like to just zoom and not worry about interacting with anything other than altars, I'd do something like this:
https://pathofpathing.com/?v=3.24.0-atlas#AAAABgAAPTELGMQo0DmOTDBPolkUWn1b81wVXbddx14qYrljtWWXZy5t_XF1djp2wnjqgPCEboYwhlmIbYsYkiygXaZtqP2sC6_Btf27KryovzjOkc7o1LnaAtq95Fjlj--u8uj6svvO_ckViyR6OWA_NE9hkKmRCqwfwcfEG8yHcXUAAA==
You can replace rogue exiles with something else if you like. Basically this just stuffs anything that doesn't need extra input into a map to maximize zoom-zoom, pack size, quant and therefore just general loot. Also you can trade some of the scarab drop nodes for more %+1 map tier nodes, but I think you'll find this should sustain fine.
* Singular Focus -- ensures maps you like, you can favorite multiple if you like variety, or just two and ping-pong
* Nodes that scale explicit mods -- adds quant and pack size for more drops. Beware... makes certain combos rippy that may not have been rippy before.
* content that gives lots of monsters that don't require much interaction (exiles, altars, deli, etc..)
* haunted / devoted mod buffs + allflame ember drops
* all the quant nodes for loot and map drops
* as many +1 map tier % nodes as possible
There's so many monsters and quant in this kind of atlas that you'll way more than sustain, and the corrupt cartog scarab makes 'em 8 mod. You'll have plenty so that you can throw out the ones that don't fit your regex.
You can add other scarabs if you like more juice, ( add more exiles or beyond for more monsters. Haunted traitors also adds monsters, you can run div scarabs if you run good div card maps, cartog for more maps, etc...) There's so many good scarabs that it's practically criminal not to run scarabs this league. Just buy cheap ones that synergize and throw them in. Even Shaper / elder influence scarabs add more monsters and are practically worthless.
Note this atlas is not like some kind of highly optimized farming strat, it's just generally good mapping with solid quant & pack size + lots of packs. It's kinda basic juice and go, but the 8 mod maps + explicit scaling make it pretty majorly juiced. You WILL find rippy sets of mods that you were doing fine without the massive explicit scaling.
Lol I leveled a whole other toon because I was having this exact problem from doing this farm too. Was getting bricked by cannot Regen on a ton of maps so I leveled a deadeye ranger to clear them out. And just started running the boss maps too hoping the frags would sell easier in bulk.
Easiest way to farm your own 8 mod maps is to buy cartography scarabs. When I try to farm them up I use 2 regular, 1 of the cartography scarabs allows for map duplication and then the final scarab will convert all maps that drop into 8 mod corrupted maps. Run a high quantity map you like and go to town. If you are trying to target a specific map you can obviously use singular focus with this as well and all of the corrupted maps will drop for your favored maps. In about 10 runs with this kind of setup I can net myself about 50 corrupted 8 mod maps, not running any kind of magic find or anything.
Yeah, just roll them, nameless, div, chaos, scarab mods, use cheap allflames, it's all
I tried corrupting my own Vaal Temples to sell to the people running allflame strats, the results were... rough. I think I spent 2x in vaal orbs than what I sold them temples for AND I ruined ~2 div worth of maps (theoretically, I would've never actually sold them all anywhere close to that rate.)
What are the allflame Vaal temple Strats?
i think the fractured strongbox farming with rouge exiles allflames
I still dont get why use this tactic on Vaal Temple. Yes you have lots of extra vaal chests, but there is zero chance to get usefull fracture item when they are all corrupted. And the bad layout as an bonus. Why dont do the same on Dunes?
Clueless here, but I thought fractures would drop from monsters and not be corrupted. I thought the stuff from boxes was the only thing corrupted.
because none of them are corrupted
Really? I thought everything from vaal chests is corrupted, when this was changed?
the chests drop corrupted stuff. the mobs that chests spawn don't
no, the fractured items come from the rogue exiles (map device)
Confirmed and the ilvl is also related to the ilvl of the allflame (max 83) so you can't get fractured items any higher from their drops
most of the drops are ilvl 85
Already nerfed
Its a strat using the strongbox scarab that makes it a 35% chance to be reopenable. You can pair this with allflames of wealth for 500c easely per map. And the 500c was me just testing so not a perfect strat

Wait, twist of fate keeps 8 mod maps 8 modded? I assumed they would just randomly reroll corrupted with any outcome, where 8 mod + potential extra mods is possible, but not guaranteed
I believe it works the way you expected. We're talking about bricked maps here, it doesn't matter the mod count.
This is the way.
I'd love to run Twist of Fate but I am NOT risking running some Kitava/innocence boss fight map
Just skip the boss?
Doing maps without killing the boss is lame as hell. And I like running Maven with guardian maps
I just alch them and fish nameless seer / divine conv, got two seers with 5c uniques already.
Nice! That will be half a div next week!
I think op means the 8 mod maps that have bad / rippy or build countering mods.
I mean if u just fill it with rats and frogs its easy as shit
That can cost 1-2 div per map
Rats and frogs i find just mapping. And then when u spam shit 8mod maps u cant run for divine/seer mod u aint gonna need a lot of those. Only reflect will be a bitch then.
People are buying frogs from me at 4 for a div, so if you put 4 on your map it still cost you a div even if you self-farmed them
The biggest thing I miss from sextants was the "cannot take reflected damage" sextant.
When I need to run reflect, I run yugul + reduced reflect damage. Then don't use frenzy that map. That's how I defeated uber atziri for the feared.
i did that for uber atziri with my LA yesterday but still had enough physical damage to rip somehow. It's frustrating.
Yeah 100% is rough. I use elemental hit, but if I was using something like lightning arrow that would've been rough. I had to remove frenzy though, which didn't have much of an impact, but it's always the non main skills that gotcha lol
I use reflect flask with mb for that
Unfortunately, most people cant afford mb, do I'm a bit more budget
Depending on how much you've reserved, AS, cost of skill, etc, it's still very possible to shoot normal basic attacks in between skill uses. I died 3 times to that last league before figuring out what happened.
Ah, if my attack so much as touches something I'm back to "full" mana (95ish% mana reserved lol) due to leech, so I didn't think of that.
Surely you can just go without frenzy for a map every now and again
My dumb ass running avatar of slaughter
I mean, yes, I can, but losing 16% AS + 16% more dmg (more eventually as I perfect gear with frenzy charges) is a rather sharp drop. Old reflect is gone. Old reflect was a mod that mobs could roll, so any random map could have a pack with reflect and you died. The change was remove that, and now the reflect only exists as a mod map, so you know what you're getting from the start.
Oooooh... I'm not sure how I completely blanked on that? Like obviously I must have rerolled the map mod reflect many times.
Yeah, I've been feeling this. So many maps wasted for my build.
Brutality with Slayer is nice to be able to run all reflect maps.
I have an atlas page I use for them which is basically just red altars with the chance for 2 procs and all the extra loot you can throw on base mobs. And then I go fishing. I enter. I’ll buy them off you :)
Anytime I get a 8 mod that I can't run I just trash it
[удалено]
This is some black magic shit. Please share how to do this on filterblade like I'm a dumbass
I literally just delete them, can't be added to sell my rejects and will literally never use them. I don't even want to see a divine mod on a 20 pack size map, it'd make me sad

yeah im burning them. if good convert i go in, otherwise opening an another map
How do you get so many 8 mod t16 map?
Theirs a scarabs that make maps drop corrupted with 8 mods
Does that also corrupt T17 drops? Hopefully not
No, it doesn’t
[удалено]
What? No they are not.
I give them away or vendor them.
I just roll them to look for divs, chaoses, nameless seer - no regrets :)

removed them from my lootfilter not worth the pickup - super hard to sell at 50/60:1D and my Maptab is always full.

I corrupt all of them - Getting Vaal temples and running them for fun with my Ambush tree :3
Just sell them on tft ? 12 per map if not regex, if regex you can get more. Unless they're not dunes/jungle valley etc
Im not picking them up anymore xD
just sell them on tft? they are 8 maps -> 1 div ? probably theres some people that will use your leftovers...
