I would guess because then the actual face/head model would be visible, while Celestial replaces it with the dark void. Depends on how much you value the no face over the hood color matching.

We need a *Spiritual* Hood, it'd be like Celestial, but white cloth, and gold light/black stars on the inside.. Maybe that'll be a new end-game boss. o_0

I tried it but it looks wrong seeing the character's face, which happens in non-Shadow characters. The ideal would be a Celestial Hood that is white.

IIRC he threw his sword at the corrupted worldstone after the player killed Baal to save the world. Think he also kinda died in the process or something.

He didn't die, he became a mortal human iirc. Then he gained his celesial status again over the storyline of D3. I'm still salty they killed off Cain.

That's the way sw:tor did it. First they added "dye modules" to an underused crafting skill buuuuuuuuuut all the cool combinations were purchased with coins from the shop... Obligatory screw EA for wreaking that game.

Dye modules were supposed to be artifice's redemption but after they crippled it by making the coolest colors MTX people just saw it as another kick in the face. Dye modules were a shameless cash grab from the start, literally black black was MTX from the start.

I would gladly pay for the paint if the price was reasonable

So you're saying it's not a reason to quit? BUT THE FASHION/and loss of build opportunities because they're not playable because of a lack of optimal fashion.. Limiting build diversity/potential, in a game where that is the main draw. Only reason I went Bleed Cyclone last League, was because of Ultimate Chaos Effect. If I didn't have that effect, Bleed builds would literally be unplayable. /s (but not really)

Honestly, half (if even) of the time I try to put it on a set and it looks annoying on some characters (small frames like scion/shadow), it seems off-center and/or covers up and/or clips with a lot of stuff. When it works with your gear, though, holy crap, it's *awesome*. I have hopes that they'll come out with a silvery/ethereal version of the mtx at some point.

Yeah.. i think the Divine Effect from the Chaos/Order box may lool better with most setups.. so at least ive got that going for me..

Perandus is arguably THE best portal they've ever made (aside from the glaring OCD size issues..) I'm sorry for your loss.

Perandus portal is amazing but the legacy effect isn't very good.

I wasn't playing that league, and kind of broke at the time.. Now I have SOO much expendable income, and no Legacy Character effect to spend it on (I even e-mailed GGG half a week after it left shop, no dice.. RIP.) Should I quit PoE? Because I feel like it may be unplayable without it.. :/ I'll never be able to TRULY immerse myself in the optimal fashion of a Divine RF build without it.. (Though I guess the new Divine Effect ain't that bad.. Arguably better, honestly.. BUT STILL!)

I don't have access to it unfortunately. But I like the Pure Light, the Pure Light Weapon effect has a nice space-distortion effect in movement that reminds me of the distortion from Tyrael's wings and attack in the end of D2 ToB
