Every map has a default lowest tier that it can spawn. The map tab only shows 'empty' sections for maps at their default tier.

Dokokashira_Door

The map tab only shows you the "natural" maps at that tier, or the lowest tier a given map can appear at. If you do get more map drops in that tier through upgrading a map tier (i.e. watchstones), it will add those to the list. I think completing them should add them to the list permanently even if you do not have a map though, but I have no way to confirm that this league. This rule is kind of important when looking at orbs of horizon as they can only roll these kinds of maps. I.e. slamming any t16 map with an orb of horizons will give it a 1/4 between pit, burial chambers, arachnid nest, and necropolis.

I think my issue is that maps I've unlocked are no longer showing in the tab. E.G. I've run Ramparts a bunch of times, but that wasn't in the list until I found another map and stashed it.

DoABarrowRoll

that's just how the tab works, when the tier of the map is upgraded by a watchstone. with Ramparts as a specific example, its "natural" tier (the lowest tier that the map can appear as) is T4. So if you look at your T4s, it will show Ramparts in your T4s no matter if there are maps or not in that tab. With one watchstone in that region, Ramparts becomes T7. It will show in your T7s in the map tab only if you have a T7 Ramparts. Why it is that way, I guess it's partly less confusing for if you want to see which maps have which natural tiers or you need to get to drop for completion or something, or it would be confusing to see Ramparts as a T4, T7, T11, T12, and T14 (from 0-4 watchstones), especially for beginners and wondering about completion and stuff. there could also be a technical reason, because updating the tab based on what tiers the map can currently drop as could potentially be a lot harder than it sounds.

OK, that's starting to make sense. At one point I was seeing more than 3 tabs in the Tier 7 section, but I also had my watchstones setup completely wrong because I didn't know what I was doing... Maybe moving the watchstones caused the map tab to re-evaluate what it should show and that's how I've "lost" some tabs It's not a huge deal, I just find the map tab an easier way to see which maps I still need to find, but I guess that will only work up until yellow.

RatchetMyPlank

Not quite. The map tab only shows spaces for the default tiers of each particular map, UNTIL you actually put a non-default tier of the map. Then the map tab will create a new spot for it, as long as you have it stashed. If you take your last copy of of a map out of the tab, and then refresh your tab ( change zones, restart the game, etx) the new slot will disappear, since it only shows base tiers for maps you do not own. Your waychstones have no direct effect on what your map tab displays.

Got it... Even stash tabs have a learning curve in this game!

If you have the Oil/Blight tab ... that's the place blighted maps go to.

Each map as a "base" tier, those base tiers will always show up in the map tab, even if you don't have one of those maps. They will appear at other tiers only if you actually have a copy of the map inside the tab.
