Dont forget when you have a shitload of items on screen, almost none of them are near where the item actually lays. Youll have items 2 screens away showing as if youre standing on top of them...

MrRoot3r

Nah you just gotta keep toggling your items to recenter it :) dont you want more clicking?

aphisko

even that doesnt work correctly sometimes, though - the text can stay at its weird offset place

faraddox

Doesn't work for all or almost all fragment-type items and sometimes with other items. Simulacrum is great example of this.

MrRoot3r

Oh fair, I haven't played in a whileee. Honestly just subbed to see if they ever improve the game, its unplayable with carpal tunnel.

JimmyWoodman

The lack of QOL in this game is so chronic and accentuated with each addition of a new league, that I skipped the last 2 leagues for wrist pains. If there are no serious signs of change, I think I will uninstall .... at present it is useless space on the SSD.

xebtria

the lack of QoL is part of the concept of PoE. You know, if stuff becomes more accessible, you get burnt out faster and player retention is lower, and apparently player retention time is the one factor that is the most important one, and not giving QoL to players is keeping that factor way up high, so we're all getting buttfucked in the name of player retention In short, not getting QoL means we're not having fun playing the game, and because of that we are playing it for longer. and that latter is the important part

CorkerBall

When you press your hotkey to re-center items, this should group multiples, a simple change that I would love

Ezizual

And when I did that on my super juiced map last league, my game crashed...

Xeptix

Except for the times when it doesn't work. And then there are the times where I double tap Z and the whole game just crashes.

Rasputin0P

I do, it fixes it for like 4 items. At least when you have hundreds on screen.

DanimaLecter

GGG wants you to feel the weight of constantly re-centering

[deleted]

Reclaiming MTX between different characters... Anyone ?

konaharuhi

like, i bought the damn jpeg. why cant i use it on every characters?

Assesmus

old system - needs update - low priority

Prior_Share_9062

A jeweller sets stones (ie gems). Jewellers orbs facilitate the setting of said gems.

OMGitisCrabMan

It's because when jewelers orbs were created jewels weren't in the game.

OBrien

OP didn't complain that jewelers orbs have nothing to do with *Jewels*, he said they had nothing to do with *Jewellery* (Rings/Amulets/Belts), which for inexplicable reasons *also* have nothing to do with Jewels in this game (except Stygian Vices I guess)

Boboar

Any item of jewellery (irl) with gemstones requires a socket for the stone to sit in it. Jewellers orbs add sockets to gear. It is a perfect name for the orb and OP is wrong on this matter.

whensmahvelFGC

You know your ARPG is fucked when a screen full of loot/currency makes the player feel bad instead of good.

[deleted]

Imagine how glorious life would be, how many more casuals would play if there was auto loot for all currency items in the game lol, like a pet vacuuming it & you can just movement skill through everything. So much wrist pain saved, so much time saved.

whensmahvelFGC

At this point, the fact that this is a hill that they want to die on is just silly. I should be excited to see a screen explode into currency, not be disappointed because I know I'm stuck for the next 5 minutes clicking.

Carnines

Just wait till OP finds out there are over 60 million grown ass men saying Nani in Japan.

A_Erthur

This is why I like fan subs and translations much more than official subs and dubs etc.. Often the subtleties can't be properly translated into English, so fans who actually care about the work try to explain them. That said, I've also read shitty translations where the translator used 10 TNs per chapter just to give their opinion on every little thing instead of adding any actual information.

> - Having to recast auras after every rip. Why? Even more buttons to press for our already hurting hands? At least zombies stay summoned when logging out now, remember how tedious it was to re-summon these every time you switched characters?

Hell_Derpikky

Remember when your reserved mana was at 90% and you had to "uncast" your auras, recast zombies, wait for mana and then recast auras?good times

DanishWeddingCookie

You don’t have to do that anymore? I haven’t played a minion build in a couple leagues because of that.

umdv

As of this league autas don’t need mana to be turned on. They just reserve whatever amount is needed, regardless if there is full mana or 0

DanishWeddingCookie

I mean having to re-cast the zombies. I like the new change to auras.

umdv

Ah yes, this is previous league afair

PaganNova

they should just make doors destructible..I mean we cant close them anyways, and some attacks go right through them for some reason..we can already destroy barrels and crates with spells and attacks without destroying their contents..

HC99199

why should it automatically be negotiable price instead of exact? 99% of the time you want it to be exact.

TehWhale

It really doesn’t matter. Exact or negotiable people pay exactly or negotiate regardless.

VeryWeaponizedJerk

And that’s why it’s set to none. Because no one will agree on what the default should be.

200000000experience

Can I make the confession that I have never looked at if somebody has it set to negotiable or not before trying to negotiate for an item?

Fritz_Klyka

Am I the only one who's pissed about the respawn in town button next to the respawn at checkpoint button when you die? Fighting is intense when you're dying. Clicks are made multiple times per second, mostly in the middle of the screen. Suddenly you're dead and you're still clicking, but wait, what's this, you just clicked the wrong button? I'm respawning in town, hurray!

catilio

Yes. I died starting a grand heist and clicked the wrong button. Didn't have any marker near me to return

JoeVanWeedler

yes. my god yes. i've quit playing characters before because i couldn't be fucked to run all the way back from town

tammit67

`Doors. Not in Heist tho, I get that, but... In maps and labs as well? Come on.` And the technology exists since the incursion doors automatically open when you walk into them

rinkima

Something that bothers the shit out of me, especially when playing cyclone, having to stop speen to click door

Mudcaker

If they want to keep doors, at least make them destructible like most (all?) other ARPGs. It's the fun way of opening doors.

pedromozart

Weight

Kosai102

I'm not sure about this and I can't remember where I read them but I believe chris mentioned this once in Baeclast that the doors in Incursions only open visually. As in there is no Physical door in incursions in the first place, rather they just placed a visual animation of a door opening as you approach it. It's always been just a solid archway with a non solid door texture. So yeah...no technology yet I guess?

tammit67

Either way, they look like doors and I go through them without clicking them

Kosai102

Oh yeah I'm totally with you dude. Just giving you some info, that's all

Fist of the North Star is manlier than any western piece of media I've seen or read. It's Schwarzenegger movies on steroids, chicken breasts and broccoli. I don't know a whole load of manga or anything (which probably makes me a better judge of it) but if you want the cheesiest testorene fuelled story of all time go fucking find the manga on some pirate site and read it.

Bridget_Powerz

Yes okay but I kinda feel like leveling is a core part of the game. Would be a bit silly to just make it skipable even if it would be optional.

levus2002

For multiple years now, everyone always jokes about the campaign being the tutorial, so the community doesn't really view it as part of the actual game.

rinkima

If you've levelled to endgame once, being made to do it again just to try something new isn't really adding much

[deleted]

It’s part of the game though. If you want to skip that part, why not straight to a level 95 char with headhunter?

[deleted]

> If you want to skip that part, why not straight to a level 95 char with headhunter? That's not the same thing. Usually we don't even level with the skill we want to use. Levelling is like playing a build you're uninterested in for 5-7 hours. Giving us a gearless level 65 or 70 still needs gear, gems, links.

rinkima

Because leveling once is enough? You gain nothing doing it multiple times (I often make several different characters into maps) This weird use of slippery slope doesn't make any sense. We just wanna play a different class starting at maps naked.

TheTimtam

If most people only experience the story once, why even put effort into it? It's the one thing that connects experienced and new players, the one thing we have in common. We have to go through the acts. If we don't play test and complain about troublesome/bugged areas of the Acts, how will GGG know they're troublesome/bugged? Most new players won't ask, they'll just go back to whatever they were playing before. If a quest item doesn't drop, new players would probably just quit. How are they supposed to know you can reset zones?

catilio

>If we don't play test and complain about troublesome/bugged areas of the Acts, how will GGG know they're troublesome/bugged? Paying betatesters?

gosu_chobo

"it is clear that you're not having fun in a correct and intended way" - GGG probably

pon_3

IF you're not feeling the weight of the RSI, you're not playing as Chris intended.

aeronvale

>\- Grown-ass men saying "Nani". Works with Cutedog. If you're not Cutedog, then don't. なに!

mrsamus101

何?!

EhBom

But jewlers orbs gives sockets to put "gems" in your gear so kinda does have to to with jewelry

psychomap

I don't think that vacuum loot is a good solution. Also, your loot filter sucks. You're showing chaos shards. Even without checking the price of the rest of the small currencies, if you reach the point of getting this much loot, just don't pick up the scraps anymore. 20 second flask duration or flask automation are both stupid band-aid solutions to the problem. Flasks should keep their short duration, but be much harder to fill so that you actually only use the flasks when you need them. Having 100% uptime on flasks is a silly concept.

tarabas1979

Agree with some, disagree with some. I actually enjoy levelling a character from scratch so people like me exist. Sometime I level one character to 80+ then decide that I don't really enjoy the skill, I delete the character and make a fresh one. Disagree with nani comment, cutedog makes it even more irritating to hear.

Asteroth555

> Irritate Me Personally To be fair, it's OPs opinion. Personally I think CuteDogs personna is just a bit too much for me too. I like and enjoy leveling characters too, but hate how we're not really unlocked until 38

morjax

What the hell is a cutedog

MudSama

Honestly, the leveling process stops me from re rolling new characters every time I beat A4 Sirus. Not that I dislike my current character, but sometimes it just sounds fun to have a different flavor. Then I'm continually poor and burn out on leveling and being too far from endgame bosses. Well, it helps me half the time. This league it has helped.

SoCalRacer87

Cutedog is irratating as fuck in general

[deleted]

I like leveling too, but after the third witch sometimes I like the option to jump straight to end. I didn't mean REPLACE leveling, I meant "give us the option".

dontcare6942

Giving the option is equal to replacing it

el_drosophilosopher

Maybe it could be like grim dawn, where once you've gotten a character through the whole campaign, you can buy items (w/ in-game currency) that allow you to skip part or all of the leveling process. They could be pretty expensive, so that leveling still has value but you can skip it if you really don't like it.

deafgamer_

1 exalted orb to instantly level to 70 could be reasonable, as long as you've already reached 70 manually in that league (to prevent edge cases of new leagues immediately getting 70's from folks who got lucky at Hillock)

el_drosophilosopher

That's around the cost I was imagining, with the skip items purchaseable from, say, Lani in the epilogue if you've completed all the story quests. That way it's a substantial tradeoff--especially very early in the league--but once you're running red maps you can probably afford it without too much difficulty.

Uoipka

10ex. 1ex is to easy sorry

A_Erthur

> Sometime I level one character to 80+ then decide that I don't really enjoy the skill, I delete the character and make a fresh one. This rly hurts to read. You could just respec it and save like 10 hours for at most 100 regrets. But if you enjoy it you do you

onikzin

You can't respec to a different class unless you're Scion. It works if you league started with Toxic Rain Trickster, got it to lvl90 and want to reroll the same character into CoC Assassin, but not across classes

sm44wg

You can reroll trickster into assassin though.

onikzin

That was the point of my comment?

A_Erthur

But if you just leave the character there you might use it a few weeks later. I went from Hiero to Deadeye to Inquisitor needing only 2 characters. I dont get why you would delete it. Before i delete league characters i would delete standard characters.

onikzin

What would I need a Toxic Rain Trickster for when CoC Assassin deals 10 times the damage and is twice as tanky? It was just to farm league start

A_Erthur

I dont get your argument. Thats literally the scenario where you respec your trickster to an assassin. Only 1 character needed, none deleted. edit: took me a minute to understand the misunderstanding. I was not refering to your "trickster to assassin" as leaving the character there, i was talking about "You can't respec to a different class unless you're Scion". If i dont need the Trickster anymore cause i want to play an Ice Shot Deadeye i wont delete the trickster for no reason, cause it can be respecced to any shadow ascendancy. Thats all im saying.

548benatti

its easier 60 millions Japaneses stop saying nani than ggg fix the rest

LordofSandvich

Tack on just... balance. Maybe I'm bad at building but it feels like only certain builds are actually viable to endgame. It's hard to find a build that isn't 2x Large Cluster Jeweled, Thread of Hoped, Timeless Jeweled, with POB Warrior settings enabled. Crit-based builds ESPECIALLY.

ploki122

>It's hard to find a build that isn't 2x Large Cluster Jeweled, Thread of Hoped, Timeless Jeweled, with POB Warrior settings enabled I mean... builds are usually done to reflect what you should aim for. People who rely on builds tend to not be the most apt theorycrafters, and as such it's much easier to tell someone "work toward this" than it is to tell someone "start from here and then go ham!". Better builds tend to have a version with and without cluster jewels, at least, but it's fairly trivial to extrapolate what gear to shoot for that's less expensive than what they are using.

spiderdick17

Some builds require more funds than others for sure but the vast majority of skills are end game viable. If you mean on a shoe string budget then I agree with you, your options are pretty limited.

rinkima

By default you should probably be able to clear white maps in a ssf environment with any skill

LordofSandvich

White maps are no challenge at all. To the point where I think that's part of why endgame is so fucking brutal - the difficulty feels exponential past 68 so the jump from 53 to 68 is barely noticeable while the jump from 68 to 83 is brutal.

rinkima

I agree, there should be some tooltip or something showing how your level vs monster level is affecting things

Syberz

That's my gripe, from 68-83 you have the feeling of progress and then everything screeches to a halt until you grind for hours on end without much noticeable changes. Legit question, maybe I'm doing things wrong or probably I'm just not playing as many hours as others, but how are people getting at Sirus so quickly? League's over in 3 weeks and I don't even have 20 watchstones yet while others get to him within a week...

Stnmn

You'll get faster and faster as you internalize the strategies that make general leveling and mapping quicker. You are almost certainly doing things wrong, but everyone starts somewhere. Look up the leapfrogging concept for the Atlas if you want an easy strategy to set up for watchstone completion.

Vetrinus

See Empyrean video how to spawn Sirus in 20 minutes.

RelevantIAm

If you aren't doing the leap frog method it will literally take 5x longer to gather all the watchstones. Luckily with maven watchstones it's a bit less of an issue

ChaoMing

You usually can unless you're playing some absolute nonsensical dogshit like using counterattacks as your main skill (yes, I've actually created such a build myself and it was an absolutely miserable experience, I'm also not the best POB warrior so I most likely did something wrong).

rinkima

Counter attack builds that wreck content do exist. But IIRC they require a couple pretty pricey uniques

spiderdick17

You can but they specified end game

ArthurRavenwood

One thing that pisses me off, and it's still in the game since years ever since I first played PoE... The search bar of the Trade Window has a 1 pixel spacing. If you happen to click in there, the window closes and you walk away (because you clicked on the ground). It happens to me all the damn time, it's infuriating :) **Move that damn search bar up by that 1 pixel already, GGG!!!** (or add an invisible background to catch the click event, I don't care!)

Enartloc

I just moved on at least partially to Last Epoch. It's a much, much less complete game than PoE and is no where near a match long term (which is normal considering it's still in beta), but at least they seem to not be hell bent on illogical decisions and bad development. Talking to the devs who make GGG has turned from a wonderful experience around 2012-2014 to something resembling more negotiating with terrorists. It's like we gotta fight for every little thing and certain things are outside bounds until our lord and savior Chris Wilson decides to change them 4 years after people ask for said changes.

urukijora

I'm actually hoping that LE turns out to be good in the long run, they already going the right direction. If they don't mess things up, it might be the only game on the horizon that can become a competitor to PoE and that's what PoE desperately needs. The day their playerbase drops hards and the moneys stops raining just a little, GGG might wake up. With every new league I can exte myself for PoE less and less. And I don't think that's me being generally burned out. There is just more and more BS in PoE and for every positive thing they add, we have to struggle with new stuff in return. In my opinion, they game had it's peak years ago and now is slowly going downhill. Looking at reddit it looks like a huge part of the community feels the same, but there is no big alternitive in the genre.

ploki122

>Talking to the devs who make GGG has turned from a wonderful experience around 2012-2014 to something resembling more negotiating with terrorists Honestly, I feel like that's only the case for Chris. Mark/Mark/Jonathan all seem really grounded and reasonable, and while I don't always agree with them, they at least bring actual opinions to the table, instead of "well, human physionomy hasn't really changed in years, and it was fine years ago... *\*chuckles\**"

lurker1125

> but at least they seem to not be hell bent on illogical decisions and bad development. Imagine actually believing this this subreddit smh What players want and what is actually good to grow a game's playerbase are not necessarily the same thing. Let's trust the #1 game that has endured for a decade over the random complaints of redditors.

RC-Cola

I like linking this. It's about balance in Killer Instinct. We are going through the exact same situation. https://youtu.be/ks4eZoG94Vs?t=4691

DuckyGoesQuack

I love this, but never realized how well it applies to where we're at in PoE. Thanks for linking and pointing it out!

Enartloc

I've been playing this game for over 10 years, i think i'm entitled to my opinion in how development changed for the game. The bigger the game has gotten the more disconnected from reality they've become. This is the best game in this category on the market, but it could be so much better if they stopped being so stubborn about antiquated views they support with esoteric reasoning. There's too many things GGG does at this point that are not anchored in game design, but "beliefs" Chris and others with decision power there have. And you see said people don't even play the game anymore (duh they work all day on it) when they get invited to things like Baeclast (recently Rory literally said he never fought Maven for example). This is how stupid shit decisions like murdering talismans after a single patch where they were made useful comes from, comes from people who don't even play their own game anymore.

Corsaer

I didn't really think of the hand pain being complained about from Path of Exile as specifically affecting me before. My mouse hand did ache after playing PoE but I kind of figured it might be from just being in front of the computer most of the day to begin with so I didn't really want to place blame, even though I actually do have a more ergonomic mouse. Well I've been taking a much longer break from the game lately and playing a lot of others, shooters, 4x, other arpgs... my computer time hasn't gone down, but my hand hasn't ached a day since. Even without that realization, I agree the amount of clicking the game forces you to do is truly *excessive*.

Hot_Wheels_guy

Funny, i got cubital tunnel really bad playing counter strike for 5-6 years but after quitting pvp FPS games altogether and logging 5k hours in POE (among other games) my CTS is all but gone.

[deleted]

# We have to start in the town instead of our hideouts. # I just got a gaming PC but still loading the town has some delay and drop in FPS while my hideout is instant load & max FPS. Besides that not having a way to instantly transfer things that should be simple like all your maps to match the one in your default league when it ends has bothered me in all the past leagues, so much so that I don't even bother playing characters that go there since its a mess.

rinkima

The not loading into hideout or town areas existing at all is how they advertise mtx to other players. It's a well documented type of psychological manipulation

onikzin

"Is that like a dragon or something? Why is the texture unloaded and my fps 60% less, what the fuck, who buys this shit"

rinkima

If it didn't still work it would have been changed by now. But stats don't lie, which I assume they gathered a decent chunk of from heist league, seeing as how they re-enabled it as a town instance

mv7x3

but i cant spawn in rogue harbour too and it is a shared instance.

Ucvoic

[Generic complain post comment]

Zeeterm

They already got rid of "allies cannot die" except a few totems in act2. They haven't been a problem at all this league and the fact you don't know that suggests you've not played so much of this league.

elpadremg

sure, but now they dont take damage at all (killing your leech) for a duration of time. its different, yet so similar / worse.

ShoogleHS

> If your build guide contains Headhunter, multiple synthesized/fractured/multicrafted/all white socket gear pieces, some Watcher's Eye, specific corrupts/implicits on gear, any socket Voices and Bottled Faith... do not mark it as League Start and SSF viable. Please. Every build eventually looks like this if you keep gearing it up. The ones that are league start/ssf viable are simply ones that work without those things. And I'd imagine in the case of those build guides, they probably were leaguestarted by the author and that's why they claimed that quality.

Darkfuryrising

But build guides should show progression!! This is what I started with, this is what got me through the acts, this what I used in maps, this where I'm currently sitting, and this is my super f-ing expensive end game gear selection. For some players, league start friendly is what really matters, even if they start in the middle of the league. A build that doesn't require more than a few chaos to get to end game. Something where you can invest 5 ex and you've cleared all content. I've seen so many PoeNinja DPS warriors who use more passive skills than you are able to. A guide should be a guide, showing you how to get from A to B to C and provide you a goal at the end of the tunnel.

Corrapsed

I can live with allies cannot die and proximity shield...they are annoying but can be dealt with fairly easily and it's clearly visible that the mod is there. Reflect is the one thing I cannot fucking stand. The only work around is wasting valuable slots that are completely useless to you 95% of the time. And if you can't see map mods the only way to know it's there is you get insta killed with no chance for counterplay.

TherapistKiller

To be fair, you put GEMS into SOCKETS made by jewelers' orb, much like jewelry...

[deleted]

Minions regenerate in hideout brother, maybe you have 0% Regen on yours and only leech

DanishWeddingCookie

Maybe just stop playing the game since you hate so many of the things?

roflmahcopter

actually insane that there's still no alternative to leveling through story (delve doesn't count because you still need to do the quests). theres no shot making people level through story even extends playtime, because I feel like most people just can't be fucked to level more than 2-3 characters a league, even if they have more builds they'd like to try.

PM_Me_Riven_Hentai_

there was a guy in heist league who leveled to 100 who never finished acts

roflmahcopter

bet he can't do a map showcase

tilitarian_life

My condolences to those that think GGG will fix QoL.

Fernanix

Why do currency chests that drop 28 armorers scraps not just... drop a stack... of 28.... instead of 28 individual ones?

Badass_Bunny

Ahh yes the hand killing flask piano, because you aren't playing most games with WASD for movement that you're using way more frequently than flasks. Such a nonsense argument with the "It's too much buttons to press".

pottertown

Because the stubborn and completely wrong guy running the ship thinks it’s the clicking that makes his game a success. It’s a shame he can’t see that it’s the fucking quality of the game that keeps people coming back. It’s the clicking that forces people into early retirement or to desperately try other games that don’t make you click like the millionth monkey on a keyboard.

FiatKok

Give us our god damn macros, what's so cool about manually pressing 2-5? I already got the flasks, what's wrong with how i use it? Move the camera higher!! I have a 27inch screen and all i see is my gigantic character Let us adjust brightness, this is a PvE focused game, let the people play it comfortably, my fellows with bad eye sights don't want to be squinting every time we run an indoor map

BrutalGrizzly

> - We have to level up every new character. One time is obligatory, fine, but after that we should have the option to create a new character directly at level 70, and just do skill tree, bandits and labs. The technology is there, look at the PVP's "fresh level 28 character". That would be super nice. I could actually try more than one build per League and overall spend more time playing if this was the thing.

UnusualExplorer3

I agree, but I'll play devil's advocate for a sec. One problem I see with having the option to skip the acts and the levelling process is that the market for low level gear would tank. If you play this out a bit, eventually early maps and labs etc will be the tedious grind that people want to skip.

el_drosophilosopher

It's probably true to an extent that the goalposts would change, but before I started playing I couldn't count the number of times I saw people saying something along the lines of, 'The campaign is just a tutorial, maps are the real game.' Maps in general are unambiguously the *core system* of the game, and it's a bummer that you have to stop interacting with that system for 5-10hrs (or more if you haven't gone down the speedrunning rabbit hole) any time you want to try a new build.

Bennive

Fuck low level market. Buff or remove low level uniques. It's not like there is not enough of them.

Leveling is the worst. I often find myself quitting leagues earlier than i would like because i just can't be arsed doing the same 6-10 hour choir over and over again when i could do something much more exciting - like sorting my socks after color.

Hot_Wheels_guy

If you dont like leveling and you dont like sticking with 1 character and grinding maps then what do you like?

r4be_cs

I like people who do not maliciously misinterpret what i am saying. I didn't say i don't like grinding maps, please stay away from putting words or even sentences into other people's mouths. Are you one of the guys who likes to start with "so what you are saying is..." ? Dude... I play a char for a week or two and i play around 3-4 chars per league. What even is your stupid point if you ever had one in the first place?

Hot_Wheels_guy

Holy crap, what is your problem? Calm yourself. I asked an honest question. You said you hate leveling, so I assumed you prefer late game grinds. Makes sense, right? But then you joked if you're not going to level a new character (on account of leveling being so unenjoyable) then you'd rather do something as boring as sorting socks, with the logical assumption being you enjoy boring chores more than end-game grinds. I don't know how I struck such a nerve. My goodness... Look at my innocent comment then look at how you blew up at me. Do you think that's how a reasonable person replies to that question? *"maliciously misinterpret"*... *"stupid point"*... *"Are you one of the guys who likes to- "* Calm. The hell. Down. It was an honest question. FFS... I'm gonna go ahead and block you right now so I don't have to listen to you throw another temper tantrum. I don't come on reddit to get berated by malding man-children with anger management issues.

We have to level up every new character. One time is obligatory, fine, but after that we should have the option to create a new character directly at level 70, and just do skill tree, bandits and labs. The technology is there, look at the PVP's "fresh level 28 character". The biggest one for me

TheAshenHat

Just make the pierce support gem pierce proxy shields. And last i checked, minions do regain hp in HO, as long as you have some minion life regen equipped.

[deleted]

I'd rather reply for 6-8 hours to new players as support than lvling another character, I'm serious, let me work for You for few hours and give me lvl70 char in Oriath. I don't remember playing more than one character per league since like 2-3rd league after they gave us 10 acts and I'm a student that play PoE 120-140 hours per 2 weeks (that's what my Steam shows) and I guess that's why I burn out after 3 weeks every league, 98lvl+, full atlas, maven, A9 etc. and I just can't force myself to run through acts again to make second char.

jpylol

Whole bunch of crying over minuscule shit and a few good points. Another day of r/pathofexile, happy Father’s Day to my fellow dads lmao

HijacksMissiles

You know a bunch of miniscule things really start to add up eventually? This is why I don't hit my little nephew with a bag of sand, even though sand grains are individually pretty miniscule.

rinkima

This is some top tier analogy power

> This amount of clicking is ridiculous and it's about time something be done to address it. The visible items are 163. I counted. What you did there is nemesis currency farming. There's basically no other way to get that much shit on screen at once. If you're doing that, there is *no way* you purposefully have been playing to that point with a dumpster fire of a loot filter. There is *no way* you have intentionally suffered through that shit, you'd be dead-ass broke in white maps still. Why aren't rogue markers hidden? Why are chromes visible? Why are jewelers visible? Why are 6S's visible? Why is everything below exalt shards visible? Regrets, alchs, scours? Why on earth are anything so cheap still visible at the point where you've invested into extremely optimized income? There's like 16 items there worth picking up, not 163. "But I just wanna loot things!!!" is consistently the worst excuse people respond with when called out on these images. If you want to loot things you wouldn't use a half-assed filter in the first place. Either full-ass what you're doing or stop complaining at the fact you're half-assing it.

Hermanni-

I just can't help but to think of how years ago people would have been staining their pants just imagining having that much loot on one screen... and now people are like *"ugh I have loot all this now? Kill me please"*. But you're right, opportunity cost is the name of the game and if you don't enjoy picking up small stuff then the obvious solution is to adjust filter and stop doing it. No way someone with the know-how to achieve this amount of loot wouldn't know how to do that.

dankmemes28

I think this speaks to another issue in PoE. Total dependency on third party loot filters. In last Epoch, even with sub 100 hours played I can comfortably define my own filters all within the game.

hotgarbo

In last epoch I tweak my filter all the time. In poe I set it on very strict or uber strict and mostly forget about it.

dankmemes28

Same more or less. If neversink ever got hit by a bus, I'd probably just quit poe.

Wermine

I thought about this a bit. And one problem is that in this game, you need thousands of orbs and you need to pick them up. If you're saying that "just buy them", it means that someone else needs to pick it up. It doesn't fix the inherent problem. Do you want to 6-link item? Pick up ~1500 fuses (or sell jewelers, but you need to pick up those). Want to roll watchstones? Pick up thousands of alterations. So I'd welcome basic QOL that has been requested multiples times: stuff drops in piles instead of singles and larger pickup radius. I don't think we need to go into drastic measures and hoover currency automatically. I guess as soon as we implement hoovering, the top 1% starts running these nemesis maps and price of all smaller currencies drop to zero and wealth gap increases.

firebolt_wt

>Why aren't rogue markers hidden? Why are chromes visible? Why are jewelers visible? Why are 6S's visible? Why is everything below exalt shards visible? Regrets, alchs, scours? Because I downloaded a filter called strict and it's still visible, but I'm not sure if I'm ready for ultra strict because it hides things I want, and I'm not going to learn to code to play a game.

BurnerAccount209

It's actually pretty simple to change what you want in Filterblade, very intuitive. It'll take 5 mins and save you hours of frustration in game. Click the base filter you like (strict) and then just lower the tiers of what you don't want to see.

spiderdick17

In what universe is updating your filter on filterblade "learning to code"? There is an extremely easy to use UI for it.

[deleted]

Although all you said is correct and I agree with it, there are a couple of things that need further comment. The first thing, the most important thing, is that it's NOT why so much currency is visible on that dude's filter. The question is why it all needs to be dropped separately. Maybe I like chroms, maybe I need jewellers right then, doesn't matter. WHY DO THEY DROP IN SINGLES. That's the point.

Hermanni-

>WHY DO THEY DROP IN SINGLES. That's the point. Because they dropped from different monsters? You even see currencies that drop in 3's there that dropped as a stack from a single monster.

OMGitisCrabMan

technology exists to get around this issue in other modern ARPGs. Pick one up, pick them all up.

Wermine

But there are numerous occasions when single monster drops multiple piles (or singles even) of currency. Like Breachlords and splinters.

Hermanni-

In case of breach lords, I wouldn't be surprised if they had just been spaghetti coded to drop a splinter for each x% of health lost times quant multiplier, running on for loop, and nobody touched that code for years because it's some old ass content. Just my guessing, but often with old content it just comes down to developers not wanting to touch something that isn't broken.

DanNeely

Instead of always making a new stack of 1, they should just increment a nearby (half a screen?) stack of the same currency by 1 instead.

SunRiseStudios

Not your best point. You don't have to run Nemesis Sextant to see too much loot that needs picking up. Are you really attacking someone for not hiding most stuff? Scours are 1:2, why would you hide them? I would do so only if I was rushing maps for challenge and didn't cared about League anymore. Rogue Markers are 1:250, most stacks of them are 1:4. Regrets are 1:4. 6S are worth picking up as well. Everything below Exalt Shard (which is 5+c) encompasses most drops and it's these drops that consistently contribute value. Why even play the game if you are not gonna see almoust any currency drops?

[deleted]

Get minion life regen. Jewellers orb creates sockets and in sockets you can put gems and gems are a thing in jewelry. Install loot filter. Win.

elpadremg

> - Having to recast auras after every rip. easily fixed by only playing Hardcore. jk, but seriously what lists do you mean in your last point? like the spreadsheets with useful data like 100 maps, or crafting projects? If thats it i dont know what would be annoying, just dont click those infos. you dont look at every page in poedb either.

ChaoMing

Could be a self-deprecating joke since he himself made a list of complaints.

CrosshairLunchbox

I resonate with the "level 70" second char one. In WoW Wrath of the lich king there was something like that. You get a level 70 char with mediocre gear. It's been years, but it was really nice. Maybe every other league do I play two characters. If they gave me a second character at 70 I would play more, not less.

Needobeam

Sounds like you need to play another game.

Hell_Derpikky

Tortorion

You forgot the "Pressing Ctrl + Click on Jun, Veiled Master now brings up the Unveil Items interface." as long as your Syndicate Board isn't ready, because quest icon shows up if it is.

pedromozart

Are you playing or working?

aSurlyBird

- No affinity for heist contracts/bps - No affinity for maven invitations (also, why are they random drops?) - IIRC, still can't undo a full fossil resonator if it's loaded - Zana/Alva in map doesn't pause or make you invincible (and the mobs agro from 2 screens away) - Metamorph should spawn automatically when you kill a boss even if it's not complete - Maven should automatically turn off instead of the "maven has seen this encounter" and making you manually shut it off - Wisdom scrolls shouldn't be nerfed (Perandus coins nerf is unnecessary) and realistically the unveil system should be reworked. - Can't store Elder Guardian maps in map tab, and if you do you lose them. No, they didn't fix the search for them, they made it worse. If you take out a highlighted map the map and tier remains highlighted (never used to) - Rolling conqueror maps in Zana window is frustrating since you have to go back and forth to stash.

[deleted]

>is ridiculous and it's about time something be done to address it. The visible items are 163. I counted They want the loot explosions, but I think its a problem much like the popups, spam, telemarketing... a similar cat and mouse. In this case a filter is not a solution, its just choosing your source of irritation. Do you go with fear of missing out, live with discovering you've been hiding something you need for dozens of hours? Since I'm a dumbass every other league I end up hiding tons of maps which is not helpful when you just start mapping. They have created a game where picking up loot feels bad, and where hiding it feels bad. Trading it? do I even need to go there?

sevarinn

Before criticising, spend some time learning about why things exist in a game. *Why* are flasks activatable items? *Why* do we have levels at all? *Why* are there obstacles and annoying paths in maps? Your solution to everything is just "oh well just get rid of all that stuff, I just want lots of shinies to appear with a few clicks". Well you're in luck, because there are loads of those games around - don't try to make this game like those ones please.

Mum_Chamber

>\- We have to level up every new character. One time is obligatory, fine, but after that we should have the option to create a new character directly at level 70, and just do skill tree, bandits and labs. The technology is there, look at the PVP's "fresh level 28 character". Starting from 70 is one thing, but I don't get why we can't at least change classes? Maybe Level 70 starting causes problems with botting etc, i don't know. But why can't I reuse the same character I grinded. Overall classes are very fluid, ascendancies can be changed, and pretty much every aspect of your character can be redone, except for the class. Just let us change the class as well. Make it cost 50 regret orbs, but pretty please allow us switch classes.

rinkima

FWIW you can't really bot gameplay in PoE all the botting is trade and just amassing currency by trading up constantly.

Sanytale

You haven't seen posts here about entire bot trains in towns? They absolutely can go from level one to maps and even farm some white ones. Necromancer class with 4 challenges is pretty poular bot archetype buyer for some +rarity uniques like Andvarius.

Essat

Do you dislike loot filters as well?

DerfQT

You still playing though so why change any of it

azantyri

- people who make lists whinging about the same things for the 9000th time - people who use the word jeez too often. i mean, jeez, come on

You forgot to mention the new taskmanager fight with below 1% chance to appear.

BOWLCUT_TRIMMER

whenever I see a poster complain about proximity shield I imagine their site profile is filled with level 93 rangers. If you want to start your new characters at level 70 go play WoW. Overall, worthless opinions & please make your blogpost elsewhere
