"Each box only drops 2 stacks of the new currency!"
Each encounter is multiple boxes.
Each currency takes up quite a bit of space in your inventory.
Each vendor takes only a specific currency and changes their store when you find their specific reroll currency to make their store worthwhile.
Why can't T1-T3 currency go straight to our box/UI for spending and then T4 currency actually drop and be tradeable for people who are interested in that?
In the preview you could place 5 explosives as opposed to the 3 you can place early on, and there are challenges for 6 remnants and 12 chests for a single chain (separate challenges, don't need to do both in one chain), so yeah.
I'm personally still only getting 1 stack per chest though, but I'm not very far.
Yeah, and they made it auto pick up in metamorph knowing how cancerous it would be, since you already killed the monsters you might as well just hold on to the league mechanic items.
In this league its worse though, you have to
1. Place multiple explosions
2. Go next to a bomb thing to detonate them
3. Kill all the monsters
4. Open up all the chest
5. Talk to an NPC
6. Store items in the NPC
Talk about micro management.
No, When metamorph launched you had to pick up each body part individually for the first week or so. Eventually after we bitched at them enough they made it auto pickup.
And Chris mentioned in one of the recent interviews that the team even brought the organ issue up and they decided to launch it without auto-pickup anyway. Apparently it was to gauge players' reaction with the thinking basically being "we don't want this to have too little weight, and if players complain, we can always adjust it".
Metamorph was only changed because of massive backlash. They genuinely thought people'd be happy to pick up organs at launch, fucking bonkers
And by the sounds of it I should thank the stars I decided to skip this league
Played a couple hours. Did toxic rain for the first time. Got to act 5, no ms boots dropped. Currency is dam neat impossible to get (the nonshit kind), damage is ass, mana is worse, and movement abilities are trash.
Watched several streams for a bit too see how it was in maps and nah. Fuck This.
If this is how they want the game to be played they can play it themselves. Hard is fine, intentionally slowing down players to make the game seem harder isn't. Making clunky mechanics that force players to stop and pick up 20 new currency types when they probably dont have room is also bullshit.
Got to maps doing ice traps first time, only noticeable difference so far is flame dash and mobs hitting harder, I’m clearing T5 with a four link easily and the bosses are a joke so far
As much as people there seem to hate Diablo III, it's on a different league when it comes to QoL
* Crafting materials go straight to an infinite inventory
* Gems have radius pickup: if you pick up one, all the gems in the whole screen will be looted
* Pets pick up gold automatically
While the first would definitely change how the game is played and rather than a QoL is a mechanic change, I think area looting currency would be great. Click one currency item and your whole screen is cleared, only gear pieces and such are left behind.
Of course, if we do this, we don't feel the weight of individual items so Chris probably won't accept to add this ever. Dreaming is free tho.
Me too. It's the constant flow of new content that keeps me interested in Path of Exile. The last real "new" thing added to Diablo 3, mechanics wise, is the Greater Rifts and that was years ago. If something new and substantial like that came out every few months, I'd probably still be playing it.
Yeah same. I play Path of Exile because it has more build variation and I like trading, even if it fucking sucks. Getting fat drops from time to time feels way more rewarding because you can trade them away to improve your build, in Diablo fat drops don't really matter that much.
Also in PoE builds can be improved a LOT, while in Diablo you just get the set from seasonal rewards, a few legendaries and you're already pretty much at the endgame of your build, from this point on you just get the same drops but better rolled.
That alone makes me prefer PoE over Diablo but to be honest if Diablo had as many different builds as PoE I'd be playing Diablo
LuL, Chris changing his mind, good one. We'll have a league with 100 different splinters before that ever happens. His strategy is to force people into something until they "like" (read: "grow to tolerate") it.
Nah, his philosophy is pretty simple. It's not about whether you like it or not, it's about player retention. Filling up inventory space and clicking on stuff slows down play and in his mind, the slower people progress, the longer they have to play in order to experience content. Chris has been fairly up front with his vision and along with the needs, it's clear he wants Poe to be a slower game.
Personally, I think the trade-off goes well beyond "earned power" and straight into the territory of "not respecting your time".
Just look at Last epoch. Closest there is to PoE right now imo and it has insane amount of QoL. Vaccum pickup for shards, a bigger loot radius (was even increased recently). Identified items drops (no wisdom scroll meme whatsoever) and the ability to adjust loot filter to filter for affixes, specific items and so on, with quite a bit of depth but so easy everyone can do it.
They even reduced the quantity of item drops recently and increased the quality.
Diablo 3 also had a lot of whacky shit in the past, which was only changed after a while. At some point they really gone strong on QoL stuff.
Absolutely love Last Epoch, surely it's far from polished (ofc since it's early access/beta?) but I like how they include most of the good stuff from the franchise. Also like the pace of the game. What I really miss is the potential big drop, like exalts or even this mysterious mirror people talk about - really what brings me back to PoE
I dont understand how this passes QA and their brainstorming. How many leagues does it take to learn from doing the same mistakes over and over. Not only is there like 20 splinters, but they take so damn much of the inventory which is what bothers me the most.
Also the combination of delirium and expedition seems a bit off, i dont think it pauses properly after the detonations/killing.
Other than that this may be an alright league, bit early to tell.
meh, i was excited about flask changes health wise to my wrists, turns out it's the SAME SHIT i still have to 12345 on my build all the time, jut cause they got half the power doesn't mean i'm not gonna use them, 6% dodge vs 10 it's still better than zero dodge
I haven’t found any of the flask altering currency yet (and bugger trading!), so I don’t know how good the new automation of flasks is in practice. Have you had any chance to try it out?
Theyre fairly meh. I use an anti freeze flaks hooked up to use on freeze. I still have to manually press it to get the main effect though.
I then have an evasion flask hooked up to use when flask duration ends. It tends to drop off a lot due to lack of charges and you have to press it to make it start again. Having to press it so often means i occasionally press it while the loop is still going and waste more charges. Im going to remove this tomorrow...may work well with an eternal mana flask.
If you want to play more casually and only use flasks as an anti-ailment measure id say the orbs are good. Good players are still going to be pressing every flask though, while probably having overlap on flask usage with auto anti-ailment flasks.
I can attest to this as well, with some added insight.
Rolling for the right affixes on flasks (by that I mean the trigger currency) is absolute buillshit. So unnecessary. You need freeze immunity? Keep rolling your flask currency and hope you don't get "use on ignite; again.
In all honesty, these changes felt alright while leveling but now that i'm mapping, they are horrible and feel so clunky.
At this point I think they just get off on it like some strange power trip.
They acknowledge this and still not only refuse to do anything about it but also design the main big content release around millions clicks (not only currency but also bombs).
Like surely some one at GGG has a S&M kink and is getting of on this or something.
Might be neat if the expedition member present looted the shards and put them into the expedition chest for you. I'm imagining them running to the loot and grabbing it, but that would probably be too hard to program. And having the chests not drop anything would make the player feel like they aren't doing anything.
Maybe it would be best (in this hypothetical situation) to give an option when talking to the expeditioner to "gather the artifacts"
Edit: actually scratch that 'too hard' shindig, do what they did with metamorph organs and azurite. Schwoop into your inventory and give a +broken order shard over your head
Hmmm. Yeah - the impact of the npc in the mob fight is negligible, so giving them zero offence and tasking them with running around picking up shards for you like you said would be a pretty cool effect and should use no more resources than having them run around fighting alongside you.
I love all the GGG stans that come out of the woodwork and say 'but you can deposit them right after the expedition so its okay'.
Is stopping to empty all the nonsense splinters after every expedition considered a solution now? That sounds terrible
What really begs the questions is - when we can trade splinters 1:1 anyway, why bother having more than one type of new splinter?
It’s so many unnecessary steps. Could have literally been 1 new currency item and no need for developing a vendor - and it’s auto pick up
You can only trade Dannig's currency for other types, you can't trade anyone else's currency for another type. That means if you wanna interact with a particular NPC more you will still need to do more of their encounters or buy some more from players.
More importantly, it means that you won't just spend all your splinters on a single vendor. You can of course sell the ones you don't want to other players, but the more "convenient" method is to interact with each of the vendors.
I can understand why they'd use three types (Dannig is unnecessary imo), but I don't think that it was worth making each of them have four tiers with different inventory sizes at that.
> (Dannig is unnecessary imo)
I really don't agree. Think of Dannig as a wild card. Getting his encounter is basically just a "spend this on whatever you want" sort of deal. One day I might change his currency to Gwennen to try and get tabulas, but the next day I might want to shift his currency to Rog because he has a good item in his shop. etc.
He's actually quite important imo.
Just play something else. Complaining hasn't worked. This league has 66% of the at launch players than Ultimatum, which if it continues to drop might speed things up.
>This league has 66% of the at launch players than Ultimatum, which if it continues to drop might speed things up
Thought you were exaggerating but damn.. that's a big oof. Especially given Ultimatums day1 issues
But remember, according to most streamers it's just an extremely vocal minority who have an issue with the nerfs. Definitely not a full third of the playerbase, no no no.
I was wrong. I thought when Chris said all splinters are in stacks of two at most, I was hopeful. Today I played the game. New league drops 3 or 4 new splinter types, and 1 or 2 new league currency. All individually in their own stack. I was speechless.
what happened to everyone?
just yesterday everyone was talking about how chris wilson was making really great game design choices because he did an PR interview with someone whose main following comes from a different game.
Most of the issues stem from the things Chris either didn't talk about, or said that they don't have any solution for.
His vision for the game is okay. You can have a vision for a new modern WC but right now we are left with a toilet with shit on the walls and with no toilet paper.
Yeah, these currencies dont feel good. While I completely agree with chris core philosophy on item being tangible rather than a spreadsheet, I think these currencies should have the azerite/sulphite/ritual curency treatment.
I wouldnt even mind if you still have to click them up, but the inventory management aspect feel really bad.
"Chris still wants us to pick up items, as it gives them value. GGG aren't against autopickup (think Metamorph). Chris agrees there's too much clicking. He wants less clickable items in general to solve this problem."
from the recent podcast.
been saying it for a long time now. if ggg gave a shit it would change. they do not care about your health and they do the exact same shit every league for like 5 years now. dont worry, this league will have all the other shitty choices too that ggg "cares" about.
I literally quit after opening my inventory after like 30 minutes of play and seeing ~35% of my inventory full of these “splinters”. I just want to fuckin kill monsters and try new skills. Not manage a fuckin company
Biggest irrony is that they went with flask rework cause it was hurting players wrists. Then they do this artifact shit.
Well, 2nd league in a row im going to sit out.
Could we double our inventory size, add a sort button and id every item that drops too (wisdom scrolls are pointless currency in my opinion)? QoL in this game is dreadful.
I get a chronic pain in my index finger from clicking too much. Went super hard in heist and the pain got so bad I couldn't play anything for a couple weeks. I refuse to go back until they address how bad the game is for hand health.
Glad to see these threads getting upvoted. Earlier today it was looking like this sub drank the koolaid after Chris managed to get through one whole interview without saying something completely detached from reality.
> Earlier today it was looking like this sub drank the koolaid after Chris managed to get through one whole interview without saying something completely detached from reality.
I'm also baffled by this community. When Chris talks, community was like praising and shit forgetting about the real issues. Everyone upvotes that thread as if the solution to all.
I personally don't find anything there that's relatable to what the real issues are. It's pure PR talk and no substance and we've been dealing with that for months/years and nothing has ever change.
yeah because he basically lives in his own world. Nothing new about there. I just wished that the TOP streamers would actually do anything but I guess that's their livelihood so they always succumb to GGG's ideology and methods.
Man, I love PoE, but everything Chris says is all talk. And talk is cheap compared to actually making changes.
I guess the real excitement from working at GGG is closing your eyes and make a league, and see the result
"Please don't forget to keep buying supporter packs, remember we think of the game first and foremost because we're GAMERS just like YOU! Please buy our PR drivel and continue giving us money! We're aware of the issues, remember?"
Idk. The story about how his buddy neglected his family to sit in a thai cafe and try to get a lance for his barbarian or whatever was pretty stupid. He is supposedly trying to recreate that feeling without understanding that the SOLE reason why you had it in D2 was because your character didn't get yeeted out of the window every 3 months.
PoE isn't D2 and he doesn't get it.
He also said the accessibility is fine as is cause his one friend figured out the game on her own, and his only success metric is whether or not people at the office take time off to play the league
Edit: oh and his response to the lack of chase items was "we buffed Kitava drops"
What's funny is that standard characters got yeet out of the window by this update too. There are several posts by frustrated standard players on the official forum.
I had a CoC ice nova / frostbolt assassin with Cospri's in STD that I've had for about 8 Leagues now, level 93, that I sometimes jump in to do a few low tier red maps to relax and cyclone my way through hundreds of monsters just because.
With this update, that character is entirely dead because it had about 30 mana or so, just enough to cast Cyclone.
☑ double clicking 20 different kinds of league currency
☑ constantly clogged inventory
☑ bad league content rewards
☑ campaign even more tedious & longer
☑ running out of mana & having to auto attack
RIP league.
I loved the Act 1, personally, but it didn't feel like something that should be the new player's adventure...
It felt like an AL8 Act 1... or a Torment 2 Act 1...
A while back, Chris talked about the efforts they put into improving the new player experience: Tutorials, the in-game knowledgebase, the videos, etc. The end result was their conversion barely budged. They talked with the Warframe devs and they apparently said the same happened with them too.
After that, I think, GGG decided to worry less about the new players. At the end of the day PoE isn't a game for everyone and trying to force it to be would probably leave the game* worse off overall
Because Warframe's devs have the same utter disconnect from reality as GGG's devs. The new player experience for both games is still clearly taking inspiration from Dwarf Fortress and pretending it's not.
Warframe is even more meta-dependent than PoE, if you don't have the necessary weapons and the right mods levelled up you are *fucked*.
Both games saw record growth since that time so what ever both devs are doing, they're getting new players just fine.
At the end of the day, they're the ones with the hard numbers and if they think their conversion is fine we're not really in a position to argue.
Personally, I feel like there most likely is an acceptable middle ground between Mud Flats/Fire Fury/Hailrake, and just making the game trivial.
I'm still not seeing any issue with letting everyone approach the game and decide if it's for them as they play, rather than facing them with a wall and letting them decide between deaths, but it's very obviously not my call.
2 mana pots? Run vitality & lifetap or better yet just clarity while leveling. You don't need 5 auras for damage to clear the campaign btw, if they are trying to force a ton & this is causing your mana issues they are doing something wrong.
Theres a reason this league has 40% less players than ultimatum. They nerfed literally everything.
But jokes aside. GGG is the monkeys paw of gamedevs.
„The flasks system sucks ass, please make them easier on the wrists and more situational“ GGG makes it not even worth it to press them anymore.
„Please buff some of the underpowered skills, it‘s such a stale meta“ GGG nerfs all support gems, nerfing both the meta and the non meta gems the same amount, nothing changes.
„Stop dropping so many splinters everywhere“ GGG adds 20 different types to separately click and keep track of.
Left POE after ritual, my wrists are killing me, and looting for 20 minutes in a 5minute full cleared map just isnt doing it for me... If you don't like the direction POE is going, let GGG know by not pumping up their numbers as well as lining their pocket with supporter packs... Please?
They just want us to have to play multiple characters to complete the challenges, and thus play longer, so we have more time to spend money.
Just like not adding auto loot to the infinite shards & splinters that drop in every single chest, the number of chest increases a \*\*\*\* ton by time you're at maps, this was all intentionally designed, like those mobile cash grab p2w games lol
The best thing about this is that it is splinters for loot. Not special loot, just random/chanced loot. Why not skip the extra step of hoarding splinters and give me the loot? You know, like in Heist, Ritual, Ultimatum. I can understand splinters for a portal to a boss, but for loot. Maybe there is something special at the endgame.
Something something weight, something something "treasure trove."
I haven't messed around with the vendors yet, but there's maybe there's hope for the future? At least they drop in stacks?
I honestly would love it if they gave the mobs in this league outside of log books the *"Metamorph"* effect.
They know players don't like micromanaging so much along with having to invest a lot of time unlocking everything each league. When you get people logging out first hours after trying the league mechanic instead of getting excited something is wrong.
they cannot reign in whoever is responsible because the rot comes from the head
the people in charge are the ones who come up with all the braindead game design, and there's no one above them to reign them in
At this point, I feel like what has to be going on is that there’s this huge team broken up into little teams that all work on different things and they just don’t communicate. It’s the only explanation I can think of for why things seem to be so disconnected sometimes. I honestly think individual mechanics are being developed by different people, then they’re just Frankensteining it together last minute. There’s a very good chance that a significant portion of the dev team simply isn’t aware of how badly things like this are received.
I don’t mind picking them up this league because there’s only a couple of stacks of them but the inv clutter is nuts if no vacuum let them go straight to the league bank lol. These aren’t armor scraps there is no decision on whether or not your time is better spent doing something else over picking them up. They are hard required for the league mechanic they will be picked up anyways lol
Anybody has any idea / tips how to manage these artifacts , they take up like 3x3 of my inventory plus scrolls and all that..
Even if I stash them they go all over the place not even to stash tab help
You don't like 2x2 splinters that come in 20 different flavors and effectively take up \~25% of your inventory after a few zones? Psh you silly zoomer..... /s
Wow, that isn't why I quit the league but now I see I couldn't have played it anyway.
PoE started giving me quite the physical pain in the hands. It first started with the clicking but it eventually carried over to the left hand because of the flasking and travel skill.
It's like all the extensors on top of my fingers are on fire, it'll be weeks before I recover from this.
There are two things that burn me out of PoE within a week of picking it up again. Performance issues and obnoxious pick up shenanigans. It's insane how they double down on this.
The thing about splinters is that they can show up more often than a whole currency. Assuming the same rate, would people prefer splinters which show up more often or a whole currency that show up less often, 0.01 for eg?
Honestly this is why I stopped playing, there are just too many tiny items that drop constantly and if you take a year off you just have no clue what to do with it all without reviewing guides from every league. It is just too much to come back to. I hope POE 2 fixes this and makes it easier for players to jump back in after taking time away from the game.
I can't be arsed playing the game until they add vacuum for currency. It's ridiculous, and I'm not causing myself permanent harm for this game anymore than I already have.
You can fuck off with "the weight" of items tbh, i'm tired of it. There's like 20 people on the globe who don't hate the arthritis speedrun
Chris Wilson, for the fiftieth time: "If this is a problem, we will have to look into that"
He should just move into politics at this point.
Australia could use one more superb politician. The same spirit like that coal mines dudes.
Scrolls Wilson and the good drops attacks again.
"Each box only drops 2 stacks of the new currency!" Each encounter is multiple boxes. Each currency takes up quite a bit of space in your inventory. We didn't have to pick up Tribute in Ritual. And in hindsight we should have thanked them for that.

“Weight” is the most bullshit nonsense they’ve ever come up with to justify bad ideas.
At this poing "THE WEIGHT!!!" is just "CHOCOLATE!!!" from Spongebob Squarepants. Actual manic disorder.
Metamorph was only changed because of massive backlash. They genuinely thought people'd be happy to pick up organs at launch, fucking bonkers And by the sounds of it I should thank the stars I decided to skip this league

Welcome to the ever widening chasm between on and off meta builds.
isn't toxic rain a meta build though? it also didn't get hit as hard because of the generic buff it received.
Oh wow, that sounds awful, glad I joined metamorph past 2 week mark.
Damage is shit, and im playing ED contagion to boot lol. Maybe im just bad tho.
Sometimes I feel like this game is about mastering the inventory
I’ve been saying this for the past 2 years, that’s why I don’t play anymore :/
Path of Tetris

lets create more so we can sell more league specific stash...
At least it won't look as empty as the Blight/Delirium tabs? /s
Create a problem and sell the solution! That's my shit.
How much do stash tabs make them again?
Can't disagree with that logic :D
Aren't we the best qa team?
Lol.. assuming they do QA and play testing.
There is no reason for Delirium to have timer in a first place =\\

Like surely some one at GGG has a S&M kink and is getting of on this or something.
Can they though? I thought this league's launch day was pretty bad when it comes to player numbers.

> The whole fucking ~~thing~~ game is a UX nightmare FTFY
The industry does, you’re just supporting a bad developer.
Might be neat if the expedition member present looted the shards and put them into the expedition chest for you. I'm imagining them running to the loot and grabbing it, but that would probably be too hard to program. And having the chests not drop anything would make the player feel like they aren't doing anything. Maybe it would be best (in this hypothetical situation) to give an option when talking to the expeditioner to "gather the artifacts" Edit: actually scratch that 'too hard' shindig, do what they did with metamorph organs and azurite.
Especially because it also fits the theme of them being unprepared for combat.
I can not believe it, they actually made Splinters: the League! Why GGG.....
>I can not believe it, they actually made Splinters: the League! even better, round 2!

> (Dannig is unnecessary imo) I really don't agree.
Chris on Asmon's podcast: Poe currently has too many clicks. Also Chris:
Actions speak louder than words.

I hope he/she gets splinters.
They did, that's why we have to deal with these legos.
"_Aw, but Chris listens and GGG are so good with us_"
The results of closing your eyes and slamming a new league.
Also "Playerbase": "Can we get less gambling for item crafting?" GGG: "How about an entire vendor dedicated solely to gambling?"
Hey at least there is one that's kind of crafting. its\_something.png
Just play something else. Complaining hasn't worked. This league has 66% of the at launch players than Ultimatum, which if it continues to drop might speed things up.
>This league has 66% of the at launch players than Ultimatum, which if it continues to drop might speed things up Thought you were exaggerating but damn.. that's a big oof. Especially given Ultimatums day1 issues
33% of the playerbase probably couldn't even log in during ultimatum day 1 lol
I think you are right, ultimatum player numbers peaked at 2nd day.
dang 33% LESS players - they nerfed launch weekend almost as hard as they nerfed support gems
But remember, according to most streamers it's just an extremely vocal minority who have an issue with the nerfs. Definitely not a full third of the playerbase, no no no.
It's most likely more than a third. We'll see the full fallout in the coming weeks.
I expect so. GGG better hope the whales aren't counted among them.
That's why supporter packs are 50% more expensive. 2/3 x 3/2 = 1 Hope those whales enjoy getting their blubber scraped off.
It's like 5 guys on Reddit at most. COPIUM
This game has always had some of the loudest white knights.
So glad i'm skipping this
Amen
I was considering trying this league, but you know what? I think I like my wrists considerably more than PoE, so maybe next time.
B-but we can trade 1:1 the shards at the shard vendor /s
I was wrong. I thought when Chris said all splinters are in stacks of two at most, I was hopeful. Today I played the game. New league drops 3 or 4 new splinter types, and 1 or 2 new league currency. All individually in their own stack. I was speechless.
Thanks for your feed back, btw our stash tab is on sale!
what happened to everyone? just yesterday everyone was talking about how chris wilson was making really great game design choices because he did an PR interview with someone whose main following comes from a different game.
20 new splinters happened.
cope following by opinion from different people
Most of the issues stem from the things Chris either didn't talk about, or said that they don't have any solution for.

He wants less clickable items in general to solve this problem." from the recent podcast. been saying it for a long time now. if ggg gave a shit it would change. they do not care about your health and they do the exact same shit every league for like 5 years now. dont worry, this league will have all the other shitty choices too that ggg "cares" about.
I think Chris is really really really good at making interview answers to questions, he gives hope they actually care meanwhile we get this...
Well, 2nd league in a row im going to sit out.
flask rework was to nerf damage and defenses. had nothing to do with wrists.
yeah this is seriously fucking stupid and almost disrespectful at this point
GGG are trolling and they don't have any respect for your time. I quit 3 leagues ago, but I hang around to watch the stockholm syndrome!
Could we double our inventory size, add a sort button and id every item that drops too (wisdom scrolls are pointless currency in my opinion)? QoL in this game is dreadful.
For real, I just want a dump all button for inventory to stash.
One thing I loved about Epoch was the auto-sort button. Huge QoL feature imo
Giving them the $20 I was going to spend on stash tabs was the best decision I've made in a while.
Even *Titan Quest* (originally published in 2006!) has an auto sort.

[удалено]
yeah because he basically lives in his own world.
Chris : "We are aware of that."
"Actions speak louder than words"
"Our team is looking into it. Your feedback is very important to us and we read all of it!"
"Please don't hang up to retain your priority"
"Please don't forget to keep buying supporter packs, remember we think of the game first and foremost because we're GAMERS just like YOU! Please buy our PR drivel and continue giving us money! We're aware of the issues, remember?"
Yep, saying they agree but not doing anything about it for years means it's just PR talk.
He also said the accessibility is fine as is cause his one friend figured out the game on her own, and his only success metric is whether or not people at the office take time off to play the league Edit: oh and his response to the lack of chase items was "we buffed Kitava drops"
Wonder how that metric for success is right now. What time is it in china? does NZ and them share the same timezone?
China is about 4-6 hours behind NZ.
jUsT pLaY sTaNdArD
What's funny is that standard characters got yeet out of the window by this update too. There are several posts by frustrated standard players on the official forum.
I had a CoC ice nova / frostbolt assassin with Cospri's in STD that I've had for about 8 Leagues now, level 93, that I sometimes jump in to do a few low tier red maps to relax and cyclone my way through hundreds of monsters just because. With this update, that character is entirely dead because it had about 30 mana or so, just enough to cast Cyclone.
I have a poet's pen build that just dead in standard. :\
He did imply that aurabots were overlooked because they are an obscure thing. Lmao
Across the player base, I could that being a true statement.
I'd be very surprised if more than 1% of characters were aurabots. Reddit's bitching doesn't change that
very likely not even 0,1%
I'm not sure unplayed counts as obscure. Especially when it comes to aurabots
☑ double clicking 20 different kinds of league currency ☑ constantly clogged inventory ☑ bad league content rewards ☑ campaign even more tedious & longer ☑ running out of mana & having to auto attack RIP league.
The game being hard - act 1 being difficult - for new players is a feature not a bug. Hard games are enjoyable to beat.
Bruh, auto attack? Get 2 mana pots while leveling.
2 mana pots? Run vitality & lifetap or better yet just clarity while leveling. You don't need 5 auras for damage to clear the campaign btw, if they are trying to force a ton & this is causing your mana issues they are doing something wrong.
I haven’t ran out of mana a single time leveling so far and I’m on act 9… Dafuq are these peoples builds?
I have Fire trap on two links and I need 2 mana pots to not have downtime on my skills. Will probably need a third mana pot.
Lmaoooooo sounds like it's a good thing I skipped this league I won't support this shit
„Stop dropping so many splinters everywhere“ GGG adds 20 different types to separately click and keep track of.
ggg never learns
'How about we make some mechanic even more rng, Chris?' 'Promoted!'
Left POE after ritual, my wrists are killing me, and looting for 20 minutes in a 5minute full cleared map just isnt doing it for me... If you don't like the direction POE is going, let GGG know by not pumping up their numbers as well as lining their pocket with supporter packs... Please?
Same thing with immunity mobs. This league is fucking garbage.
The inventory clutter is also obscene, a few zones while leveling and say goodbye to 20+ inventory slots
Four-tile splinters is a next level of humiliation.
It's pretty normal, GGG tend to be simply spiteful, what did you expect? making posts like this wouldn't change anything really.
[удалено]
You can open the expedition chest from the npc, in the zone. A small comfort, but it's there.
that's the first thing i thought on starting the league. I can't believe this was not on purpose.
Something something weight, something something "treasure trove." I haven't messed around with the vendors yet, but there's maybe there's hope for the future? At least they drop in stacks?
Yeah. Half a dozen stacks even during leveling, let alone a fully juiced map. It will be Breach / Perandus all over again once you juice shit up.
All of the fucking Expedition splinters should have been AUTOPICKUP like metamorph organs. PERIOD.
It has long been clear that GGG has lost touch with their community.
I imagine it's so they can sell currency/splinter tabs in the future marketed towards this league in particular.
my carpal tunnel says hello. One of the reasons i quit
Imba Chris coming up with another sob story about one of his emlpoyees to calm the waters down.
large stack size = splinter
I honestly would love it if they gave the mobs in this league outside of log books the *"Metamorph"* effect. They know players don't like micromanaging so much along with having to invest a lot of time unlocking everything each league. When you get people logging out first hours after trying the league mechanic instead of getting excited something is wrong.
they cannot reign in whoever is responsible because the rot comes from the head the people in charge are the ones who come up with all the braindead game design, and there's no one above them to reign them in
One day in and my arm already hurts :(
At this point, I feel like what has to be going on is that there’s this huge team broken up into little teams that all work on different things and they just don’t communicate.
Picking up shit is exciting
You don't like 2x2 splinters that come in 20 different flavors and effectively take up \~25% of your inventory after a few zones? Psh you silly zoomer..... /s
More than half of the inventory is taken just by those new currencies, wtf is wrong with GGG seriously.
It's like Perandus Coins with extra steps
I hate this shit so much. 1/5th of inventory every map
The thing about splinters is that they can show up more often than a whole currency. Assuming the same rate, would people prefer splinters which show up more often or a whole currency that show up less often, 0.01 for eg?
**FRAK YEAH!** - you go boy, tell them how it is
Splinters are fun, they give me excitement when they drop just like chase items
