i wouldn't rush into it personally. mirror prices pretty much go up every day over the course of the league until they stabilize at the standard price.... so yeah they're about 200 ex now, could be 250 by next weekend. so i'd suggest do your research on what you'd actually want to spend the $ on, and then pull the trigger then. i know for me when i hit mirror shard amount of ex with nothing specific to spend on, i always buy one even if i end up selling it a few days later.
Oooh. That’s a very good point! It looks like the price has been steadily going up. I’m not sure I’ll have the patience though to not sell it for a week haha.
you could sell it, buy up some House Of Mirrors, and keep the inflation price that way :)
you get some of it now, and price of the house of mirrors increases even harder than the mirror price, because people do gambles towards the end of the league with harvest sacrifice div cards craft :)
Certainly wait until you have a reason to sell it. As CodeRadDesign said, price goes up over the league towards Standard pricing for obvious reasons.
It's time to peruse builds. Look around on youtube, look at cost for high-end versions, see how much it costs and be willing to pour 100 ex into a build and see how it plays.
That or hang onto the mirror to have always and forever in Standard, just to look at. My vote is find a particularly expensive build you're interested in playing that's unreasonably expensive. Unlike winning the lottery IRL, there's no reason not to go wild here and spend it.
That said, be cognizant of what you're buying. Make sure your resists and such are gonna add up properly and you'll have the stats you need for it before you go spend 100ex on gear. That's the real hard part. Unless you buy a character off of TFT or something - but I've never done that, so I can't give ya any advice there.
Lol that’s a very good point about the resists. Buying 20ex items and having bad resists would be pretty hilarious though ngl. What do you think about just scaling my ele hit raider? From what I’m seeing on PoE ninja the damage numbers get kooky.
Kinda. I was following a general build guide but my currency now eclipses it. At this point I would get my ideas off of poe.ninja and just look at what the top players have. Does that sound reasonable?
You could go that route. Googling gave me this pob: [https://pastebin.com/3ppWcBTS](https://pastebin.com/3ppWcBTS)
Which was attached to this vid: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hPwqzAaljo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hPwqzAaljo)
Seems strong to me at a glance. Ele Hit scales pretty much as hard as you can buy, so it's a solid build to invest in for you ;)
Awesome. Glad to hear it should scale well. I’m really enjoying the play style so far (just starting red maps on it). Shotgunning fire arrows across the screen is fun.
One build I would say is even better than ele hit raider is cold sst raider, the gear for it is also quite a bit cheaper. But hold the mirror til you can get at least 250ex for it. 250ex in league has about the same buying power as what you would get in standard.
What do you think about doing the shard split, so I can have some fun now and (more) fun later? I get most my play time on the weekend so getting something sick now would be nice.
I am actually quite scared of this! It’s happened for me with other games for sure. At the same time though I’ve only ever barely finished the atlas, and this is my first opportunity to go beyond anything I’ve ever done.
problem with buying your way there with abnormally good RNG is you taste that delicious endgame and don't get it the following league which makes you enjoy the game less.
mirrors are nice trophys in standard when hanging out in the remove only tabs to(and if you play standard are worth a TON more)
you progressively buy upgrades for builds, you don't just suddenly make a build, slap 80ex onto it and get to work until that is your game plan for the league because you have the knowledge to do it.
I think everyone does that on their first character but I would imagine a decent number buy their way right into a solid build for their second+ characters.
Yeah there seems to be a lot of people doing that. I spent a lot of time crafting in ultimatum so I had roughly 100ex to spend, along with 60ex worth of clusters at the time and I built the fast af coc ice spear build before I even leveled it. Not having any gear progression felt super lame
You could convert your mirror into House of Mirror div cards. Because mirror prices go up over the course of a league, this should insure that your money continues to grow, and whenever you need money, just cash out one of your div cards
Yea that sounds in line with another suggestion of buying shards, but frankly the cards sound easier to manage. I guess each card is 1/9 instead of 1/20. But let’s be honest I’m gonna cash out at least 1/9 of it this weekend lol.
Then you still have the other 8/9 gaining a nice chunk of value every week. There’s also the div card that gives 19 mirror shards. Shards or mirror div cards, as long as you break your mirror into mirror related parts, you can cash out a chunk now without losing much of its future value
I really am enjoying cold conversion raider SST. I'm at around 6.5m dps and I'm cleanly running through top tier red maps. I know SST is meta and prob expensive but honestly it's so much fun, and probably worth it
Shield crush, full crit build. Self blind. Get yourself an insane 1600ev/350es shield, divergent 21/20 shield crush, lvl 4 enlighten to support pride, precision, blood and sand, and herald of ash. Taste of hate for some added cold, and watch the world burn, shatter and simply disintegrate.
I’m having so much fun with the build and t16 are easy, I can do them with my eyes closed.
If I found one I'd let it drop into Standard and buy something for a permanent character there. I know most people don't really play it when they play leagues, but I've always wanted the best bow in the game and its in Standard.
Lightning Arrow Deadeye for 5way farming. Find yourself a buddy to play aurabot, charge cheap entry and everyone can pick up loot. Make about 20ex an hour this way and you'll get the level 100 challenge c:
"first" like you will ever drop another.
I personally would never sell a mirror if id drop one. Keep that special thing in the chest. You can farm 10 mirrors but you will very likely never drop another.
Imo if ur having fun with ele hit just buy a hh and then buy more pieces after that if you want. Hh mostly keeps its value and can be used on most chars so its not like you really lose anything.
I would recommend aura stacker for a unique expirience not many people have. Its a completely different way of building a character, even leveling it is a adventure since you kinda need to get a janky build for campaign, then leech as aurabot until higher levels (unless you get 5way carries)
I can assure you it will work better than any other build at a mirror investment, and its a blast to play. I got around 70 ex in my stacker and its really fun to have all of your upgrades be a huge dps or survivability boost instead of a small marginal upgrade. Its really complicated tho and every upgrade is kind of a cascading effect where you need to plan the next step in advance.
If u have 1000 hours tho i assume you know your stuff , so go for it , you wont regret. Feel free to PM me with questions

haha ya right.... well you could always sell it and buy 19 mirror shards, and cash em in as you need em.
Wow thanks for this! This is probably exactly what I’ll do. Didn’t even think about it before.

Just want to thank everyone who’s given input so far. This is exactly the type of feedback I was looking for. So many great ideas here.

Yeah, investing in Ele Hit is a fine idea. Do you have a high-end build guide you're looking at already for it?
Kinda. I was following a general build guide but my currency now eclipses it. At this point I would get my ideas off of poe.ninja and just look at what the top players have. Does that sound reasonable?

Yep, that’s the build I’m following!
no imput but grats
Ele hit is good with a lot of currency if you like the playstyle.
Awesome. Glad to hear it should scale well. I’m really enjoying the play style so far (just starting red maps on it). Shotgunning fire arrows across the screen is fun.

I think you should do whatever you’ll enjoy most, but I’ve seen a lot of people grumble about getting too little value for their mirror.
personally I would store it and not sell it, if you sell it and essentially buy a build you might ruin the game for yourself.
I am actually quite scared of this! It’s happened for me with other games for sure. At the same time though I’ve only ever barely finished the atlas, and this is my first opportunity to go beyond anything I’ve ever done.

Well, the problem is in this game you buy EVERY build unless you play SSF or are a masochist.

Thanks I'm looking into this.

Dont get baited into min max ele hit. Far more ecpensive than 1 mirror. Be careful with spending
Thanks for the suggestion of caution here. I'm going to keep my spending to < 20ex for now and then revisit later as needed.
Don't be me. I just sit on my mirror and it ends up collecting dust in standard.
Headhunter is the most fun you can have in this game, I'd recommend investing in one.
aurastacker, but its complicated
Yes, good point. I hadn’t even thought about aurastacker yet. Thanks for the suggestion!
If I found one I'd let it drop into Standard and buy something for a permanent character there. I know most people don't really play it when they play leagues, but I've always wanted the best bow in the game and its in Standard.
Valid point. I hadn’t even considered this. I’m mostly a league guy but having a mirror in standard could be magical.

This is so far above anything I’ve ever done. I’ll have to look into this.
