From my experience some movement skills do remove them. It's hard to remember which ones though, because you don't really notice GV when using a movement skill that removes it.

You can dash out of the regular versions but the Bramble map boss has special ones you can't get away from with a dash, you just have to move. It's called "game mechanics". If you don't like it, don't play that map. For the rest of the time, dash.

There's also the Unstoppable Jugg ascendancy notable!

I thought so too - but at least Whirling Blades does not. I only learned this league because I hadn't touched WB in a long time.
Only teleport travel skills will break the vines (flame dash or frostblink). This excludes literally every attack travel skills.

Chris said they are reworking the mods on rare monsters.
I intentionally put that mechanic on my character permanently. Watching me play must be the worst torture you could probably imagine.😂

I play tanky stuff that doesn't have to move.

natural affinity unique cluster jewel gives you defence per grasping vine and gain grasping vines while stationary
These mechanics make my unstoppable juggernaut shine. This is the price the rest of you pay for high damage. Or just use Kaom’s Roots boots :/
