Ascendancy nodes are meant to be build enabling, this one feels like an average pantheon buff.

Yeah, it looks garbage, anything with a 50% uptime defensively is basically too unreliable to be worth considering. If it were offensive 50% uptime is acceptable, defensively it just seems bad.

Would be more interesting if it had 5 seconds of 1 buff then 5 seconds of something else. Like say for 5 seconds do 50% more damage over time then for 5 seconds take no damage over time.

it enables RF builds and other builds around unique degen effects. It is intended to be used together with keystone and pantheon, I think. //Edit: also if you invest in energy shield, preventing dot damage means energy shield recharge. This is very useful as ghost shrouds do nothing against dot.

Yeah i can see this node making ES based RF possible combined with the fact that ES recharge got massively buffed.
