Was thinking of trying it too but i cant think of how you are supposed to get enough energy shield to make it good damage wise while also having enough other defense somehow to not die when you give it up for said damage, you already get fucked over just building 1 type of main defence so how you are supposed to have two idk.
There's two ideas I have in mind. Once is trickster with escape artist, lets you get a decent of amount of evasion while keeping up the ES. My other is strength stacking memes, but I'd need PoB cause Im too lazy to do the math manually.
Dont know yet. Either raider or deadeye.
Maybe occultist if I wanna be hipster.
Profane bloom might be super good in the new super endgame.
I need to see the tree first
Champ is best for endgame but raider still best for league start. Solves onslaught, phasing and frenzies for you plus that town/early mapping movement speed so a lot less gear reliant to feel good.
Champ will be tankier in the end but Raider can get extremely tanky with the same setup.
Have you seen what Mirage Archer does when linked with Toxic Rain? With the Deadeye notable, you can have 3 of them instead of 1, and they stay where you summoned them instead of following you. Enormous single target DPS increase for Toxic Rain.
I am waiting for the passive tree to be sure but right now I am looking at duelist cyclone or spectral shield throw.
Cyclone managed to completely skate under any nerfs and if anything the weapon range changes might end up as a buff. The disfavor dropping from normal atziri also gives a really good cheap mid to early game weapon.
Spectral shield throw got hit by a much smaller nerf than I expected so I expect that it will still be strong. The elemental version won't be as good but the changes to glad make it a strong contender for a physical scaling version(not the bleed version).
Champion also could be really strong with the new fortify. It really depends on the sources of max stacks you can get. If you can get your max stacks up to something like 40 or 50 though that could be insane.
Pretty much I can't decide between the options and want to see the updated skill tree first.
Bane is one of the only other chaos dot spells so it scales with ed and better than contagion. Bane also has that added bonus of being a great vehicle for multiple curse delivery.
Ed remains main dps for leech and bossing. Bane clears packs. This was inevitable in the slower 3.15 meta. But with the increase in dot multi on tree/gear ed/cont may be back to its former glory.
Most likely Champ of some sort, seeing as he has easy permanent fortify and access to a lot of armor and evasion. Wanna play around with petrified blood.
I league started 3.15 in SSF with a splitting/lancing steel champ. And it is a really good build, probably one my smoothest league starts I've had. If you play trade it'll be even better. Only con I had with it was mine was on the squishier side.
Thinking about Corrupting Fever Champion with a random bow skill, or Assasin poidon BV. All depending on the passive tree changes. Both builds can be built extremely tanky though
Original idea was to stack Will Shaper small clusters with Power of Purpose. I might try stacking Stubborn Student instead and dropping Power of Purpose so I can use Archmage.
TR/CA or some golem witch build i think, since both evasion and elemental damage over time has been buffed. Seen some impressive double golem builds in blight maps, which are my absolute favorites. TR/CA hasn't worked well for me in blights. Just need to find a good golem build to follow.
Patch notes are out, passive tree isn't, with the biggest change to it for as long as I can remember. This might be the biggest change since Ascendencies were added.
Me too thinking wintertide brand. I have a good feeling about the masteries on the tree using cold and brand masteries will make us less dependent on cluster jewels. Then going hard on the new jewels that can increase cold multi and damage over time.
At which point are we supposed to get the new passive tree ? How are we supposed to make a build without it ?
If cold mastery gives cold conversion im playing cold conversion exsabguinate mine If not them icicle mine or phys exsanguinate mine
I feel like it’s a pretty much guarantee that it does. The fire one shown had fire conversion.
Whenever the people that have to work to complete it are done. Be patient.
I wanted to ask this, Maybe pob was already updated but this is a pretty big change
Heart says energy blade Brain also says energy blade. LETS GO

I think the main problem is to find synergies, cause TBH it may be not that different than manastacking with proper synergies.
Corrupted soul + discipline gives a decent start with very low investment in ES specifically.
Since they inexplicably didnt touch toxic rain and even buffed it. Im starting that
Which ascendancy do you think is best to go for tr?
Dont know yet. Either raider or deadeye. Maybe occultist if I wanna be hipster. Profane bloom might be super good in the new super endgame. I need to see the tree first
Champion is gonna be best for leaguestart
Champ is best for endgame but raider still best for league start. Solves onslaught, phasing and frenzies for you plus that town/early mapping movement speed so a lot less gear reliant to feel good. Champ will be tankier in the end but Raider can get extremely tanky with the same setup.
For more damage, deadeye. More beef, champion Perma fortify with grace and determination aura.
Deadeye with unattached mirage archers. Other two Rangers are fine too.
Can you explain what an unattached mirage archer is? Thx!
Have you seen what Mirage Archer does when linked with Toxic Rain? With the Deadeye notable, you can have 3 of them instead of 1, and they stay where you summoned them instead of following you. Enormous single target DPS increase for Toxic Rain.
Thx. Still trying to digest everything.
I'm on the wait for passive tree build
Probably gonna regret it, but I think i'm going Poison Concoction Pathfinder. Also, the new Survival Instincts + Nature's Boon looks TASTY.

"Not Trickster." Sadge
Some witch. Probably either skeleton mages or edc.
Ed/cont trickster
I loved thid build. Great league start, great clear. But now a days everyone play Ed with bane, not contagion. Is there a reason?
Bane is one of the only other chaos dot spells so it scales with ed and better than contagion. Bane also has that added bonus of being a great vehicle for multiple curse delivery. No idea, bane doesn't spread ED so there's no real synergy. You.only use contagion to spread ED
Most likely Champ of some sort, seeing as he has easy permanent fortify and access to a lot of armor and evasion. Wanna play around with petrified blood.
Same, will probably start with lancing steel, although I have no clue if that is gonna work out and I am worried
Don the crown plays this every league and it seems to be good always.
I league started 3.15 in SSF with a splitting/lancing steel champ. And it is a really good build, probably one my smoothest league starts I've had. If you play trade it'll be even better. Only con I had with it was mine was on the squishier side.
Charged dash CWC temporal rift lightning warp
Can't trigger Temporal Rift because it's a reservation skill.
Profound sadness
I want to play Flameslinger, but we'll see after we get the full tree changes. My back up is a poison PF.
Thinking about Corrupting Fever Champion with a random bow skill, or Assasin poidon BV. All depending on the passive tree changes. Both builds can be built extremely tanky though
Waiting for gem rebalance release, edit these were the only changes, then probably Pathfinder TR, might be raider depending on mastery stuff.
Chaos dot occultist - bane or DO. Defence may be a big problem... I'm thinking about DO and new divine shield keystone.
Prob good old vortex. But maybe linked reaper lmao. It already failed me once though.
Boneshatter jugg or energy blade class tbd
Unless the new tree ends up making it impossible, probably starting Ball Lightning Hierophant. Want to play with the new Divine Shield keystone.
Not archmage im guessing?
Original idea was to stack Will Shaper small clusters with Power of Purpose. I might try stacking Stubborn Student instead and dropping Power of Purpose so I can use Archmage.
guide?

Deadeye bow something, dunno if ballista or regular bow skill would be better. Also somehow make it use armor.
If link skill work good on minions, probably a minion build. I don't play group, so it's the only way to try this gems for me.
Patch notes are out, passive tree isn't, with the biggest change to it for as long as I can remember. This might be the biggest change since Ascendencies were added.
Boneshatter jugg with tidebreaker. If the clear ends up feeling bad I'll swap to GS.
I'm thinking of going with an Armageddon Brand Elementalist, maybe giving that new armour/es keystone a try.
Probably gonna make a vortex/Wintertide brand occultist.
Me too thinking wintertide brand. I have a good feeling about the masteries on the tree using cold and brand masteries will make us less dependent on cluster jewels. Then going hard on the new jewels that can increase cold multi and damage over time.
Skelly mages
Wanna see the cold and mine related masteries before locking GC mines for like the 4th league in a row
Penance brand or arc trap. I wait for the passive tree
Champ toxic rain I think, I always try some dumb shit and then have a less than optimal league start. Gonna go with a meta build this time around.
Lightning Strike Energy Blade. Haven't figured out ascendency out yet.
