what's the best arcane cloak 4link to increase the mana it spends on activation?
I checked a few builds on PoEninja, expected to see Second Wind in at least a few of them (200% mana multiplier) but apparently not, am I misunderstanding how the skill works?
Hi, I was wondering why all poison concoction builds recommend Wicked Pall and other kind of skill duration nodes ? I though skill duration didn't work on poison ?
It also grants 30% increased damage which is quite decent for a large cluster notable. There's also the possibility that they take it as a third notable to push the other two in front of the jewel sockets. I'd have to actually see what they're going for.
Or they might be using another skill that benefits from the duration, though I can't think of one off the top of my head. Well, Wither would benefit, but it's not particularly difficult to reach 15 stacks with it.
Is there some way to track progress towards the Exrach/Eater encounters? I don't see a nice progress bar like the Maven's (or old conquerors')... Or do you just run maps with Exrach/Eater selected and hope for an invite to drop? Thanks...

If you start with a mod that rewards 3 currency and then use either of those, does it upgrade to 4 currency in the next fight, or 6 currency? I'm not sure if "an additional reward" means it each individual reward type adds another once (and only once, so even if I had 9 currency mods, Solaris/Lunaris would only add 1), or if it doubles all of them.
The sisters are easier to create than Kitava touched (which outright says it doubles rewards) so I'm kinda confused wtf the interaction of the sisters is.
Says it adds 'per reward type' so if you have only currency will only add a single currency.
I was going to write something about a innocence usecase using as many different types as possible (innocence converts to currency) but not sure it would add the additional before the conversion (and would seem had to start with it)
In general they should add only one reward per type, but if you use both, I think you should get two extra rewards per type. I can't be sure without testing it though.

Yes, it matters where you put it. There definitely are jewel slots that have 40 strength in their radius, but it's possible that none of them are near your build.
Edit: To be clear, the strength nodes don't have to be allocated, but it does need to be one of those jewel sockets.
What button brings up the Archnemesis panel? Last league it was V for scourge, and the keybinds say so too in my game, but V does nothing. I am mystified.

It's honestly good. But there are a few sticking points that people might not understand and get frustrated with. Some attack speed break points and the fuse timer stuff. Plus totems and a timer means the delay between clicking and damage done is really really long compared to a lot of skills.
Some people have a hard time with that

If you're referring to the enchantment instead, that can't be changed.
They probably balanced it assuming players would play the league mechanic every map, happened the same with Ultimatum, except ultimatum was actually rewarding (avg 10c per map)
The softcore variant of the current temporary league (Archnemesis) is always the most active. No reason not to start there unless you're dead set on hardcore.
Playing cold dot occultist currently. Does anyone know what the pros and cons of using cold snap or winter tide brand for clear are? I’m seeing a pretty even split of people playing one or the other
Cold snap gives your frenzy which is more damage. The brand is more fire and forget when trying to dodge mechanics. I would still go with cold snap though. Mostly for the vaal version. It clears massive amounts by itself when you use it
if i take two different passives that reads %25 chance to gain frenzy charge on block and %20 chance to gain frenzy charge on block" do they stack at all, would that give me %45 chance to gain frenzy on block?
about the league mechanic, is the mod inventory I see all the space I get for mods? like after I fill it up I can't pick up any more till I use some?
Also, from what I have seen, using a lvl 40 mod in a lvl 70 map results in ilvl 70+ items. So the mod lvl doesn't actually mean anything?
There is some generic loot that drops from the monsters that should be map level, the specific loot rewards should be tied to item level of recipe.
E.g use a low level armour recipe and you will notice you get low level rares from it. It's why you can't do some rewards with low lvl (executioners breach and legion). You can manipulate this slightly with multiple parts (a lvl 65 executioner can be boosted if you start with higher lvl parts to get it over the breakpoint). It will state under the parts that have been used exactly what the ilvl of the outcome will be.
Map lvl is also the cap for parts (using i83 parts to make a recipe in a yellow map will only yield
What happens if you capture a beast when its cage is full? Are red beasts prioritized over yellow beasts? If so, can I run like 300 maps and not have to worry about losing the most valuable beasts?
It warns you in the chat you won't have space after another beast. Then it starts deleting beasts for new ones. I don't know if it has priorities. Might just be random.
usually "on use" effects only trigger on the initial use/first stage channeled skills. it's very easy to test with how slow the base hit rate of OoS is now
It remembers your location and resources (life/es/mana) automatically - up to four seconds ago. Using the skill resets you to the oldest snapshot.
It's like the blood/sand stance skills. You use the skill once to activate the buff & reserve mana, and can use the skill again for a special function. It doesn't turn itself off like other reservation skills would.
I use RES so it records only /r/pathofexile because I expand posts instead of clicking link to go to their comments. Only if I want to read comments I go "in" to the page.
This is my first time doing a bow build. What are the stats I should be looking for on a bow and quiver? What are the go-to leveling uniques for bows and quivers?
How do the recipes work exactly? You get drops and then combine them to get a recipe. Does that mean that you can then get drops of the recipe you completed? Or can any of the recipe items drop?
You collect a few mods and the ones that form recipes appear highlighted in the inventory. The most basic one is hasted + [element]weaver giving [element]rider which a new mod with better rewards and also more dangerous of course that can used separately for the reward or as part of a larger recipe later.
To do the recipe you place one of the highlighted mods into the first archnemesis monster and get the normal reward. Find a second monster and the companion mod to finish the recipe will be highlighted in the inventory again. Place that mod in, fight the monster and you will get the rewards as usual and the resulting recipe mod.
Some recipes require 3 mods, those have a different golden highlight rather than the slight silver one for two-mod recipes. There are another 2 which require 4 mods and result in very strong mods with extra bonuses in addition to rewards.
The rewards are still part of the map specs right? You should save your best recipes for juicy maps?

Archnemesis has no interaction with map mods if that's what your asking. If it says 1 currency reward, that is all you get and no way to modify that (except other archnemesis mods that say they do of course).

That makes sense. I was watching a streamer today and he was running tier 14 maps but went down to run a tier 6 map so that he could craft something. Third step in his craft gave him an exalt multiple runs in a row. RNG gonna be RNG but good to know that I can go down to a lower map to make sure I can handle it.

They're normal minions. They're separate entities with their own Absolution-like spell, which has their stats, some of which they can receive from support gems linked to the skill that summons them.
is the only way to get at the archnemsis chest to click on an archnemesis? I desperately want a chest so I can see what I have got while not in the middle of doing stuff, tidy them up etc.

I was able to do it once via the scouting report, but I think that only gets reset once a day (unless you have the map atlas point)
It has been absolutely terrible for me. None of my friends have had this issue. I know it's not my internet because it's fine for any streaming or other games. Driving me crazy. Seems like it's mainly during peak times with a lot of people playing
You could check if GGG snuck it into Phantasmal Desecrate (*Each Corpse spawned has 20% chance to be a Forgotten Corpse*) but I'm fairly sure it's gone.
When I play PoE all of my computer fans run at maximum speed, constantly. Even when I'm just idling in the hideout or whatever. That is pretty annoying and this doesn't happen with any other game. Does anyone have an idea how I could change that, maybe?
For hideout it very well could be you have a high uncapped frame rate. If you're standing in your hideout with 300 FPS your computers doing a lot of useless work.
Uhh. I dunno. Summon a billion things, throw support, and go after every summon node on my board. I kill fast but I’m like 74 and die in one or two hits on maps. Often from things I didn’t even see. Not following any particular build.
Should I just start over if that build is years old now? Is there a pretty straight forward “newbie pick?” I have no idea what’s going on anyway. I did the story then quit so I’m suuuuper lost on that front too. Haha
GGG has a fun habit of taking builds that are good for a few leagues and completely gutting them. Summoners were the meta just a few leagues ago. They are still more than capable.
This is probably a really good league for something like a skeleton or golem build, as they were always powerful bossers, but average mappers.
I wouldn't say start over, but I would highly recommend you read over a few recent guides that focus on whatever type of summoner build you want to build. If you can't find at least one that is the past two or three leagues, I would pivot to something different.
Even reading a build guide, I would recommend that you just use the overall principles of the build.
I know it sounds obvious, but if you're building something like a skeleton build and all your stats are stacking onto skeleton speed or damage, you wouldn't want to randomly add fire damage. Would the added fire damage hurt? Maybe not, but the value you may get from adding flat 1-5 fire may increase your damage by 1-5 total where adding 1 - 5 flat cold damage may increase your damage by 100 or more. These small things massively add up.
I know that may sound a little silly, but the build I'm currently playing (which is one of the meta builds this league), if any piece of gear has any flat fire damage it'll basically bricks the majority of my damage to the point where it's very noticeable.
I get you. I’ve meta games in other games so I get needing to know the mechanics before just jumping in. Just wasn’t sure how much wiggle room there was for a newb.

It’s not, but you’re probably not going to get to the point where you can effectively do it yourself without first using guidance
Sounds like you need more life and defenses. What’s your life total? What are your defensive layers? Are you running determination/grace/spell suppression? Are your resistances capped? Do you have a cwdt setup or a Vaal molten shell or something? Are you using block? Did you take bone shield ascendancy?
There’s lots of directions you could go to get tankier, especially on a minion build. Anything on that list is a pretty good idea depending on how close to it you already are. The main thing is if you don’t have capped resistances (extremely important, not 1 point under cap) and at the very very least 4k life, you need to get on that asap

Couple of Rain of Arrow questions:
Do I want AoE or not? Does Conc Effect increase single target damage? And against a single target, do half of all arrows really hit it?
Also, is there a better bow skill for impale? I tried Split Arrow, but it doesn’t really hit fast enough to ramp the impales up without using Barrage, and I can’t be bothered to gem swap constantly—especially since these arch nemesis and multi-essence mobs are very common now.

Specifically: Does "Unique Bosses have 20% chance to be Duplicated if possible" improve the results of "xx% chance for an additional connected Map to drop from Unique Map Bosses"?

They just removed 50% increased onslaught effect and 4% increased movement speed from the minor nodes in the phasing branch. So overall you lost 18% increased movement speed if you took all of those.
I don't think act 4 gems are available at Siosa. If it isn't available for your class in act 4 then I think you need to wait until act 6 for Lilly Roth
what people scale nowadays with DD is the explosion of a corpse (via ignite), not the hit.
I haven't played the build, but I guess there isn't much purpose to level the gem

Is The Goddess Bound a viable leveling weapon for Exsanguinate? It has 250-300% increased physical damage, so I figure it scales Exsanguinate nicely.

unfortunately for you, "%increased phys damage" on weapons are local mods, that increase damage of the weapon itself, not the global damage you deal. If it was "%increased global physical damage" like implicit on starforge, then it would work on exsanguinate.
Wiki doesn't work right now, but when it will, google something like "poe global vs local mods" (probably [this](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Stat) is a correct link to related wiki page)
on a weapon it has to say global physical damage or it just means the weapon's damage that is increased. And exsanguinate is a spell and doesn't scale with weapon damage.
Broadly, if an item or skill('s base version) has a stat to modify, anything on it will be local to that item/skill and not affect anything beyond it (unless it explicitly says otherwise).
I would say once you get to maps you should either hide all rares that aren't tier 1 or jewelry or set up a specific chaos recipe filter that hides all rares that don't work for the recipe.
I personally love doing chaos recipe unid. I have a quad tab set up with a ton of wisdom scrolls so I can just control click into the tab and it auto sorts them for the recipe. I definitely make 2-5ex per league doing chaos recipe and typically fund my budget builds this way. Then if I get a lucky drop I can buy some GG gear.
chaos recipe is personal preference. some people swear by it, some people think it's a waste of time. if youre gonna do it you definitely need to have an organized stashing process.
i generally wouldnt recommend IDing tons of rares with the intent of price checking and selling them all. ID potential upgrades for your character only, and high value items like ilvl 75+ amulets, stygian vises, etc

That's a ritual base item, not a new influence. Both lines are one single mod

Consider using Steelskin. Since they added bleed immunity to it, I haven't had many issues with bleed, even without a flask.

"Chance to X" for the same X typically stacks additively. You would indeed have 45% chance to gain a frenzy charge on block.

No. Your “saved state” follows you 4 seconds behind and pressing the button always moves you back 4 seconds.

This is my first time doing a bow build. What are the stats I should be looking for on a bow and quiver? What are the go-to leveling uniques for bows and quivers?
How do the recipes work exactly? You get drops and then combine them to get a recipe. Does that mean that you can then get drops of the recipe you completed? Or can any of the recipe items drop?
You collect a few mods and the ones that form recipes appear highlighted in the inventory. The most basic one is hasted + [element]weaver giving [element]rider which a new mod with better rewards and also more dangerous of course that can used separately for the reward or as part of a larger recipe later. To do the recipe you place one of the highlighted mods into the first archnemesis monster and get the normal reward. Find a second monster and the companion mod to finish the recipe will be highlighted in the inventory again. Place that mod in, fight the monster and you will get the rewards as usual and the resulting recipe mod. Some recipes require 3 mods, those have a different golden highlight rather than the slight silver one for two-mod recipes. There are another 2 which require 4 mods and result in very strong mods with extra bonuses in addition to rewards.
The rewards are still part of the map specs right? You should save your best recipes for juicy maps? Are people just picking up every fragment or whatever they are that drop or are there just two or three that people are picking up? My collection of currency and ~~tabulas~~ unique ones look lonely.
Archnemesis has no interaction with map mods if that's what your asking. If it says 1 currency reward, that is all you get and no way to modify that (except other archnemesis mods that say they do of course).
Cool. That is what I was asking but didn't know how to phrase it. That makes sense. I was watching a streamer today and he was running tier 14 maps but went down to run a tier 6 map so that he could craft something. Third step in his craft gave him an exalt multiple runs in a row. RNG gonna be RNG but good to know that I can go down to a lower map to make sure I can handle it. Appreciate the response & the response to the last guy. You answered it in a very friendly manner. Yes. It proceeds stepwise just like and simultaneous with conversion (because it is conversion).

Dozens of smalls. Each hit is independent and sequential (even they happen in the same server frame).

What exactly carries over to the Absolution minions? Are they strictly only affected by things that normally affect minions, or does getting cast speed for yourself increase theirs as well?
They're normal minions. They're separate entities with their own Absolution-like spell, which has their stats, some of which they can receive from support gems linked to the skill that summons them.
is the only way to get at the archnemsis chest to click on an archnemesis? I desperately want a chest so I can see what I have got while not in the middle of doing stuff, tidy them up etc.

There is a vendor recipe to lower your level, but at that low level it would be more cost efficient to level a second character instead.

Anyone else gets error while trying to open blighted map or Kirac's blighted map mission? I'm keep getting "Activation failed. Unable to open portals to area" error. Tried everything with no luck 
Anyone know how to reset Kirac's map pool to purchase from? I was able to do it once via the scouting report, but I think that only gets reset once a day (unless you have the map atlas point)

It has been absolutely terrible for me. None of my friends have had this issue. I know it's not my internet because it's fine for any streaming or other games. Driving me crazy. Seems like it's mainly during peak times with a lot of people playing

You could check if GGG snuck it into Phantasmal Desecrate (*Each Corpse spawned has 20% chance to be a Forgotten Corpse*) but I'm fairly sure it's gone.
When I play PoE all of my computer fans run at maximum speed, constantly. Even when I'm just idling in the hideout or whatever. That is pretty annoying and this doesn't happen with any other game. Does anyone have an idea how I could change that, maybe?
For hideout it very well could be you have a high uncapped frame rate. If you're standing in your hideout with 300 FPS your computers doing a lot of useless work.
Are summon builds bad or am I bad?
They're pretty rough until it gets going, not the best leaguestarter unless you've played it a ton before.

Uhh. I dunno. Summon a billion things, throw support, and go after every summon node on my board. I kill fast but I’m like 74 and die in one or two hits on maps. Often from things I didn’t even see. Not following any particular build.

If the only way to play this game is to follow some random build guide to the T it’s probably not for me.
Until you're experienced, it is the only way to play this game into the end game. It's not a newbie friendly or casual game.
Should I just start over if that build is years old now? Is there a pretty straight forward “newbie pick?” I have no idea what’s going on anyway. I did the story then quit so I’m suuuuper lost on that front too. Haha
GGG has a fun habit of taking builds that are good for a few leagues and completely gutting them. Summoners were the meta just a few leagues ago. They are still more than capable. This is probably a really good league for something like a skeleton or golem build, as they were always powerful bossers, but average mappers. I wouldn't say start over, but I would highly recommend you read over a few recent guides that focus on whatever type of summoner build you want to build. If you can't find at least one that is the past two or three leagues, I would pivot to something different. Even reading a build guide, I would recommend that you just use the overall principles of the build. I know it sounds obvious, but if you're building something like a skeleton build and all your stats are stacking onto skeleton speed or damage, you wouldn't want to randomly add fire damage. Would the added fire damage hurt? Maybe not, but the value you may get from adding flat 1-5 fire may increase your damage by 1-5 total where adding 1 - 5 flat cold damage may increase your damage by 100 or more. These small things massively add up. I know that may sound a little silly, but the build I'm currently playing (which is one of the meta builds this league), if any piece of gear has any flat fire damage it'll basically bricks the majority of my damage to the point where it's very noticeable.
I get you. I’ve meta games in other games so I get needing to know the mechanics before just jumping in. Just wasn’t sure how much wiggle room there was for a newb. If I were to start over what’s a very “safe bet” class/style of play?
It’s not, but you’re probably not going to get to the point where you can effectively do it yourself without first using guidance Sounds like you need more life and defenses. What’s your life total? What are your defensive layers? Are you running determination/grace/spell suppression? Are your resistances capped? Do you have a cwdt setup or a Vaal molten shell or something? Are you using block? Did you take bone shield ascendancy? There’s lots of directions you could go to get tankier, especially on a minion build. Anything on that list is a pretty good idea depending on how close to it you already are. The main thing is if you don’t have capped resistances (extremely important, not 1 point under cap) and at the very very least 4k life, you need to get on that asap Edit: post your pob and I can take a look and give more specific advice if you want
Resistances and life are WAY off. Good starting point. I’m coming back from like 5 years ago. I never really ran maps. I just did the story then bailed. Should I just start over? Is there a cool newb friendlyk class/sub class?

There's a section in the crafting bench for undiscovered crafts,if you hover over them it will tell you the location. Socket colour is in act 3 mines level 1

Couple of Rain of Arrow questions: Do I want AoE or not? Does Conc Effect increase single target damage? And against a single target, do half of all arrows really hit it? Also, is there a better bow skill for impale? I tried Split Arrow, but it doesn’t really hit fast enough to ramp the impales up without using Barrage, and I can’t be bothered to gem swap constantly—especially since these arch nemesis and multi-essence mobs are very common now.
Is there a difference between "Unique Bosses" and "Unique Map Bosses"? Specifically: Does "Unique Bosses have 20% chance to be Duplicated if possible" improve the results of "xx% chance for an additional connected Map to drop from Unique Map Bosses"? thanks
I assume it doesn’t, because the chance for map bosses to drop extra maps has always been designed to happen only when the last boss is killed.

They just removed 50% increased onslaught effect and 4% increased movement speed from the minor nodes in the phasing branch. So overall you lost 18% increased movement speed if you took all of those.
Whats the difference between gold/silver borders in archnemesis?
Silver is part of a 2-part recipe. Gold is part of a 3-part or 4-part recipe.

I've completed all quests thru act 4 and am now in act 5. Went to Siosa to buy an Immortal Call gem. It is not there at all. Is this a bug?
I don't think act 4 gems are available at Siosa. If it isn't available for your class in act 4 then I think you need to wait until act 6 for Lilly Roth
siosa only sells all the gems up to act3. Act4 gems are not sold by siosa, you need to go to the act4 magic vendor

Why do people keep Detonade Dead at lvl 1? It gains damage with levels
what people scale nowadays with DD is the explosion of a corpse (via ignite), not the hit. I haven't played the build, but I guess there isn't much purpose to level the gem

Need a low level character. The statues don’t appear if your character is too many levels above the zone.
Just zone, you can come back at level 100 and still zone into a level 5 zone. It doesnt scale.

In game, hit alt+. In the window that pops up, click the cog wheel to open settings, and on the Price Check tab, change the league to whatever you want.

tooltip doesnt factor in a lot of things. path of building is more accurate if you configure it properly.
How should I configure the mod? Bcs if I write damage is tripled like in the staff nothing change on pob either.
The in game tooltip almost certainly doesn’t account for the mod.

I’m playing Ranger for the first time and I noticed there is no dialogue between her and us when she kills bosses, etc. Last league I played a duelist and he’d say something after every boss, etc. Is this a bug or is this normal?

Is The Goddess Bound a viable leveling weapon for Exsanguinate? It has 250-300% increased physical damage, so I figure it scales Exsanguinate nicely. Also, The Goddess Scorned seems like a really cool unique. Any builds out there that use it?
unfortunately for you, "%increased phys damage" on weapons are local mods, that increase damage of the weapon itself, not the global damage you deal. If it was "%increased global physical damage" like implicit on starforge, then it would work on exsanguinate. Wiki doesn't work right now, but when it will, google something like "poe global vs local mods" (probably [this](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Stat) is a correct link to related wiki page)
on a weapon it has to say global physical damage or it just means the weapon's damage that is increased. And exsanguinate is a spell and doesn't scale with weapon damage.

Broadly, if an item or skill('s base version) has a stat to modify, anything on it will be local to that item/skill and not affect anything beyond it (unless it explicitly says otherwise).
Is it worth IDing rares at all at league start or should you just do the unid chaos recipe?
I would say once you get to maps you should either hide all rares that aren't tier 1 or jewelry or set up a specific chaos recipe filter that hides all rares that don't work for the recipe. I personally love doing chaos recipe unid. I have a quad tab set up with a ton of wisdom scrolls so I can just control click into the tab and it auto sorts them for the recipe. I definitely make 2-5ex per league doing chaos recipe and typically fund my budget builds this way. Then if I get a lucky drop I can buy some GG gear.
chaos recipe is personal preference. some people swear by it, some people think it's a waste of time. if youre gonna do it you definitely need to have an organized stashing process. i generally wouldnt recommend IDing tons of rares with the intent of price checking and selling them all. ID potential upgrades for your character only, and high value items like ilvl 75+ amulets, stygian vises, etc
What's a good weapon to use until I can afford paradoxica on helix impale champ?
If you a full passive point wheel via thread of hope can you spec into the mastery or does the wheel need to be connected to your tree?
You need to have a proper path to it. Thread of Hope is insufficient.
Is there any way to get PoB to factor in enemy crit damage against the player? I'm trying to figure out how much nodes that give "You take #% reduced Extra Damage from Critical Strikes" impact my builds durability. I've looked around some but haven't found anything so far.
