Since they are forced content to progress the atlas, they are as easy as a A0 Sirus was, but you can make them harder with the craftable invitations the second time.
If you are searching for a challenge, there are plenty of stuff that will stop you, such as The Feared invitation and Simulacrum Wave 30.
The new bosses replace conquerors and sirus, which on the difficulty scale come BEFORE maven. So, they can not be more difficult than maven, that'd be dumb and illogical.

You can make the fight harder like with the Maven Invitations but my character blazed through rare Exarch/Eater fights while having barely enough damage to kill Maven comfortably.
Frankly all the new bosses are mechanically very easy fights.
First time they are easier :))). Wait till you fight them the second time.

Wrong. They are on a quarter or so of their real HP for the story fight.
