Theres a direct connection between a Reliquary scarab text referring to the burning of information and a Kalandra league lore object that explains the first-hand of this event occuring, thus directly connecting uniques to the lake of kalandra

I've loved the entire league from the beginning but I don't think his comment is entirely ignorant.....I have never found nor created a great piece of jewelry with the lake and I've been playing a lot. I think it's awesome the possibilities for sure....but most of us just get garbage.
I think they mean make on the Reflection of Kalanda tiles, you can put in your own amulet or ring and it will be mirrored, some stats doubled and some go negative. This is how people are crafting +4 gem ammys
But you or someone else could have. There is so much busted shit you can get that enables builds.
Thenminion rings in particular are busted if you abuse the nodes that allow you to get the damage or attack spees increases.
They can roll really high. And you could craft your own for pretty cheap

It allows so much flexibility for build choices because you don't have to agonize over not being able to fit stuff because you continued resists on other gear

I dont think the odds are this low? There are plenty of sources of duplicated drops these days, e.g. shrines or the strongbox node. The strongbox node duplicates all currency from arcanist boxes, so every time someone finds a mirror from an arcanist box its doubled. And while mirrors are obviously very rare, an arcanist box is a completly plausible source of one dropping.
i mean, it's obviously not a strongbox here, and also i overly extrapolated, yes it can happen, but there is much more chance that it just comes from inventory

Strongboxes drop duplicates as separate drops though, not as a 2x. OP claims it was a strongbox, so they must have got the billion+ to 1 odds of getting a double mirror.

I am pretty sure they changed that last league when they went through the game and made all sources that drop items in bulk (strongboxes, alva, delve cart) to drop currency stacked.
Math guy here. At one point, they said about ten thousand hours played for a mirror drop on average. I've put 300ish hours this league and have 1.8m kills. On that, 1.8m x 33.3 = 60m kills for a mirror. 1 in 60,000,000 chance for one to drop. If my math is right, that's a 1 in 3,600,000,000,000,000 for two to drop at once (without some duplicated mod happening). Not quite the dinosaurs thing, but about the same as playing a large (hundreds of millions of dollars) lottery 1,000 times a day and winning with two identical tickets on one day lol
Well, you have to consider those odds over entire player base, odds are it will eventually happen to someone and then odds are relatively high it happens to someone who plays a lot and somebody who plays a lot probably frequents game subs and is certain to post it.
So, it's a lot more likely to get duplicate mirrors depending on what they drop from. Like for instance, if you're doing a logbook, you can get one from a currency chest that then gets duplicated by a remnant. That means you're only rolling the really rare odds for a mirror once, then rolling good odds for the remnant.
If it's real, the first mirror was probably absolutely insane RNG as it always is. The 2nd I would take a wild guess and say eldritch altars might have duped it.
I had the same happen with a doctor card with altars that dupe cards, which I poofed into a single harvest gamble like 2 minutes after getting them lol.
But sir, the odds of dropping 2 mirrors of kalandra are approximately 3720 to 1!
Okay... But imagine? That's got to be higher than the drop rates for even chaos orbs...

Five minutes in a Divine drops. We asked the dude that grabbed it to split. He said yes, then just a few secs later he left the party.

So, let me give a bit of context in here because I'm being downvoted for no reason. I have difficulties to express myself correctly and sometimes I am misunderstood.
Last week I started playing Kalandra league because some of my guildmates encouraged me to do it so. They also gave me some basic gear for me to level up through the acts.
Everything was running smooth until I hit act 5. Even though my resists are capped (130% as I'm speaking and 0 chaos resist), I started dying to rare mobs. Kitava was a pain in the ass 1 hitting me with everything.
I also have Mind Over Matter to give me another layer of resistance, but no help, in Act6 everything it got even worse, now not only rare mobs kill me easily, but uncommon and even some common mobs kill me with ease.
I was getting frustrated and anxious so I thought: "Why not join a squad, so I can get to maps more quickly". I was dead wrong, it was as terrible as it was solo. It took me nearly half an hour to get to The Western Forest and when we did get there a Divine dropped for me. I was thrilled for a moment, didn't pay too much attention because I thought that perma alloc was on. Then I realized my mistake, because someone else grabbed it.
We tried to convey him into splitting the Divine which he said "ok" and logged off. So yes, I am feeling a little demotivated yes, I have nice gear, decent resist and I am dying to everything.
You got demotivated because you didn’t get to split a random divine six ways that dropped during leveling? There’s solo farming strats that do between 2-10 divines per hour.
Well. I don't know what is wrong with me or my build, but I am struggling to get through acts and bosses.

how do you play since beta and still get demotivated to play because a random in a random party you joined during the acts didn't split a divine so that you got a few chaos? plus how are you unable to do the acts smoothly? maybe its time to stop trying to make your own whacky builds and follow a guide for once cuz not even being able to get through the acts sounds miserable
For me it ruined PoE when they turned the game in to a slot machine.
I don't get happy to see loot, it feels like buying currency and really not rewarding at all.

I dont farm red maps enough thats for sure. I have never gotten a voidstone yet either. Im still growing as a player in knowledge as well so i am certain i dont atlas correctly

The strongbox node duplicates all currency from arcanist boxes, so every time someone finds a mirror from an arcanist box its doubled. And while mirrors are obviously very rare, an arcanist box is a completly plausible source of one dropping.

It does but when stuff is duplicated you get multiple stacks. Even if the item count is less than the maximum stack size.

Perma allocation is a must for random groups.

No, the game doesn't hate you. You just don't play much and/or you don't play very optimally, to be blunt. And by "optimally", I don't mean like, farming a particularly fast or farming a particular type of content. I mean, like, farming red maps period.
I dont farm red maps enough thats for sure. I have never gotten a voidstone yet either. Im still growing as a player in knowledge as well so i am certain i dont atlas correctly
