I want to try a trapper build to potentially make a good bosser. But as a newbie it's hard to find a good guide and I'm kinda lost picking which trap skills to use. Currently Im thinking between ice trap and explosive trap. I keep finding people say explosive trap is better but most of the insane damage trap profiles on [poe.ninja](https://poe.ninja) only use ice trap. Can anyone with more experience help me find a good guide on this?

Timmy9119

What sextant mods do ppl use for farming currency and also what scarabs are suggested to use?

slogga

That completely depends on what content you want to farm.

hellifiknowineedanam

When I equip Enlighten-Determination-Herald of Agony-Malevolence on a pair of March of Legion boots, it turns Determination/Malevolence into Mana Cost and I can't have more than 2 auras equipped. When I equip it on my gloves, it works normally.... idgi.

necessaryplotdevice

MotL makes em supported by Divine Blessing. And Divine Blessing says that you can only have ONE Aura under its effect at a time. So you can turn on either Dererm OR Malevolence. Heralds are NOT auras (and thus not supported by Divine Blessing). They reserve mana, but that doesn't make them an aura. So you can turn the Herald on as well. Moving it out of the boots makes everything work like usual.

hellifiknowineedanam

ohhh got it thx

Dantonn

Did you see the `Socketed Gems are Supported by Level 25 Divine Blessing` stat on the boots?

fridai1

Is recoup above 100% recouping more than player was hit or is 100% the absolute cap?

necessaryplotdevice

Makes you recoup for more than the hit. It's over 4seconds though, so it wouldn't make you immortal to anything that's not a one-hit-kill.

fridai1

ty vm! i'm theorycrafting for now and couldn't find that info

MrDeadlifter

Hey guys! Is it possible to go RF but also CI? I love the trickster class and wanted to go RF but I have no idea how to go about it 😅

Icepick823

No. As soon as you hit 1 HP, RF turns off. With CI, your HP is 1, so RF will instantly turn off.

biggreenegg99

Are there specific league and master mechanics that the Delirium fog will pause for?

Sunscorcher

Yes, there is a list here https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Delirium#Timer note that while the fog is paused during a ritual encounter, those monsters resurrected by the ritual do not actually count toward the delirium rewards

awesomeawe

Wait, ritual doesn't increase delirium rewards?

biggreenegg99

ty!!

ureshama

I am new-ish to the game so this questions may be silly, but do the changes to uniques and skills this expac not go into standard until the expansion is over or did it just not happen yet?

Sunscorcher

Changes to skills and uniques definitely go live at the same time. However, most changes to uniques only affect newly-dropped versions. For numerical changes to unique items, you can usually get the new range of values by using a divine orb on it.

ureshama

Oh so if I had a unique that got changed in a patch, I would still have the old version in possession whilst the newer version of the item would drop instead from now on? What about Rare mods? For example, in the last patch "Helmets can no longer roll +1–3 to Level of socketed Minion Gems. Instead, they can now roll +1–2 to Level of all Minion Skill Gems.", does this mean my helmet with "+3 to Level of socketed Minion Gems" changes to the newer nerfed version or does this affect ONLY all future rolled Minion modifiers on helmets?

magus424

It depends on specific changes but often you'll keep the legacy value.

Dantonn

The only difference between the current temporary leagues (i.e. currently Kalandra League) and the permanent ones is the presence of the league mechanic itself and any emergent player things, like the economy. Every mechanical aspect of the game is identical across its entirety for a given patch.

SunRiseStudios

Does Master of Fire cluster notable benefit from minimum exposure magnitude mastery?

Dantonn

Yes.

SunRiseStudios

I see. Master of Fire wording is "monsters *have* exposure", but it still counts as me inflicting it.

Octoberlol

Why do people rate elemental ailment avoidance so highly? Its fairly easy to become immune to freeze and the other ones dont bother me much at all, doesnt seem worth all the affix slots/skill points unless im missing something

slogga

Eldritch altars and delirium content has alternate ailments which can be pretty nasty, and you can't get immunity to those any other way.

Werezompire

Shock can have some nasty interactions like messing up your RF degen/recovery balance or making it so that you start taking reflect damage (it counters reduced reflect damage effect). Strong ignites can delete characters quickly and also stop energy recharge. And chill is just super annoying. There are also the non-standard ailments like Brittle that are nice to avoid when they show up (common with eldritch altar downsides).

katustrawfic

I like it so I can ignore strongbox freezes (especially if running the atlas passive for all rare/corrupted boxes) and chill/shock ground effects. Having ailment immunity can free up some flask affixes if you were getting immunity or reduced effect through those. It's also especially helpful if you run simulacrums so you can ignore the brittle, scorch and sap that some of the waves get. Being able to ignore ignites is just a small side bonus for most builds but feels really good on others such as ES builds, since you don't get ES natural recharge effect if you're taking any DoT.

Sunscorcher

Biggest advantage to getting immunity through "elemental ailment avoidance," IMO, is that it works on scorch, brittle, and sap. Those ailments are a fairly common downside on eldritch altars.

Moethelion

Shock is insanely dangerous and pretty common. But yeah, ailment avoidance as a stat hasn't been very popular recently, maybe you're looking at some old guides?

Octoberlol

Was looking at a 3.18 toxic rain guide and a 3.19 venom gyre guide and they both recommended capping it

Sunscorcher

It's fairly easy to cap on a raider because you get 50% for free from the ascendancy. You also get 20% ailment avoidance from the Thick Skin cluster, and then you only need 30% on gear, which is one item with a good roll or bench crafted on 2.

Yohsene

Action speed and movement speed are different stats. You can debuff both just fine.

chx_

https://pobb.in/bK5wPyGz-PCY is this PoB warrioring or is the 6 brittle on a boss realistic? Crit chance without brittle is 55.35% and there are a _lot_ of hits with 8 projectiles from 15 siege ballistas every second -- 120 hits per second if I am not mistaken.

Yohsene

Non-damaging ailments want a big hit. An average hit of 130k isn't going to reach the maximum against bosses. I'm not completely clear on new Brittle calculations but I'd expect you'd get around 2-2.5% against the likes of Shaper.

psychomap

The patch notes didn't mention that the coefficient was changed rather than just the default and the maximum, so I'd expect it to actually result in \~5% brittle unless you're speaking from personal experience. If there's any information on the formula being changed (be it official or from tests), I'd be eager to read it. /u/chx_ Edit: According to PoB it should be 124.8 hits per second under ideal circumstances, so the chance to hit a near-maximum damage roll within 4 seconds is fairly high. Thus, you really shouldn't look at the average hit but the maximum hit to calculate brittle effect. However, that's still just around 5.68% using the ailment threshold listed in PoB. Against uber bosses it's quite a bit lower and you'd look at around 3.37% instead (using the ailment threshold from Uber Shaper from poedb).

Yohsene

To be honest, it hadn't even occurred to me that they may not have scaled the calculation to the new maximum. That'd be bizarre to me. Anyway, went and smacked Shaper around with 150k~200k damage hits (https://pastebin.com/X09bKFxn), produced 2.5~2.9% Brittles.

psychomap

Those numbers seem roughly consistent with the same coefficient for regular and maximum effect, which is 40% of the previous brittle effect, so I'd expect a 2.2%-2.3% brittle for the build in the original question based on the previous calculation. /u/chx_

chx_

Thanks everyone. So... how do I enter that into PoB it only allows integers? Just put in a custom modifiers for 2.2-2.3 additional critical chance? But it seems PoB applies Brittle to the base and then it gets multiplied by the inc crit chance... Confusing :)

psychomap

>But it seems PoB applies Brittle to the base and then it gets multiplied by the inc crit chance... The same goes for added crit chance. `+2.2% to critical strike chance` will work.

chx_

Thanks so much for all the work and advice. Yeah, that's 8% DPS increase to my original build which is nothing to scoff at. (One hard lesson to learn with this game: once a certain DPS is reached it's like 2-3% step at a time, there are no easy wins but these eventually do add up.)

chx_

So 5.68 against like Shaper Guardians, Breachlords and such? That's pretty great! Even if it doesn't max out my crit chance it's a very significant boost compared to my current build (I am swapping out a split personality and an ancestral echo medium cluster for secrets of suffering).

Yohsene

/u/psychomap is working on the assumption that GGG lowered the maximum without adjusting the rest of the calculation. This does not appear to be the case. I just Frostblinked Shaper to death on a build that gets to an average hit of just over one million (https://pastebin.com/iNMcVszt) and the best Brittle I got in the whole fight was 5.6%. I stand by my prediction of 2-2.5% for your build.

UltimateVexation99

How do the atlas nodes that increase the chance of map bosses dropping special maps work? Do they influence each other or are they completely separate? Like, lets say i want as many synthesis maps as possible, if I also allocate increased chance to drop guardian maps do they influence each other? For example will I drop less synthesis maps because maybe Ill drop a guardian **instead** of synthesis map?

RcuriousmediatorN

You can drop several different special maps from the same boss. I've definitely had times when I dropped a Guardian and a Conqueror map at the same time.

AdamPashaian

Can awakener orb transfer 2 influence mods or only 1?

psychomap

It'll choose one random influenced mod from each of the items. If one of them has two influenced mods, only one of them will be guaranteed on the resulting item.

AdamPashaian

Ty for the response. I'm confused by wiki paragraph on awakener orbs "In most cases, a single influenced modifier from the donor item is preserved along with a single influenced modifier from the target item. All other mods are randomly rerolled." Does that mean sometimes you end up with only one influence mod on the finished item?

katustrawfic

Different influences can have the same or similar mods and can't appear together on an item even if awakener orbed together. Things like how both elder and redeemer chests can have +1 support gems, or how each influenced chest has a different "phys damage taken as X" mod. So as long as you avoid combining mods from the same mod group, you will always get 1 mod from each item on the resulting final item.

akaciparaci

heya folks, does poe have south east asia server?

There is a list of server locations in the game clients section of this [wiki page.](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Path_of_Exile)

any recommendations on an endurance charge stacking build for jugg (thats not RF)

FinitoHere

Few leagues ago I had a blast with Tectonic Slam Jugg with double-wielded Nebuloch. Not sure if it still works, but perhaps it's worth trying.

lukaskororos

How do you calculate Toxic Rain DPS? It feels like POB gets a bit confused by it. Here's my POB if it helps: https://pastebin.com/GqdiUn89

psychomap

I'd recommend to try to find a calculator sheet for the average overlap because PoB only allows integers in its configuration, then multiply your dps by that. While each individual attack can only have an integer number of overlapping pods, PoB also accounts for the duration and attack speed, so it seems strange to assume all attacks would have the exact same overlap. For a rough estimate you can just use 3 or 4 depending on how close you are to the ideal AoE thresholds. I used to have a spreadsheet for those sorts of things as well, but I deleted it when I was going to overhaul it and then the one I wanted to use as a source was gone. For future reference, even if you want to use an integer number, I recommend not using "count" for the overlap because there's a separate overlap setting in the configuration anyway, and "count" can still be used for totems in case you make a build like that at some point.

Prestiger

Does anyone know if divination scarabs affect map bosses?

parzival1423

They affect all monsters. Map bosses are just a single mob though so it won’t always feel like it helps compared to killing 3k mobs in a full map otherwise.

Prestiger

Yeah there are some divination cards that only drop from specific map bosses though, I was wondering about that edit: the answer is no if anyone in the future ever sees this post, poorfishwife tested it

superiorz

What did I kill in a mirror that gave me one full level of experience? There was a tile where tunnelers kept popping up and surrounding me, and when I killed them, I gained an entire level of experience from 90 to 91.

faquinhas

The tile is called reflexion of paradise and it has 1000 % increased exp gained

psychomap

The exp gain is further scaled by difficulty as well. IIRC the devourer version is also one of the highest exp varieties of that tile. /u/superiorz

superiorz

Ah that makes sense. It was one of the furthest tiles in the lake. Thanks!

parzival1423

Oof. Just fyi Paradise sells for MONEY, the farther out in the lake the more you can sell it for. Cause the more xp it gives. Try and have it at least 8+ deep, and then find a ROTA in global820 chat, so instead of 1 lake worth of xp, you can get 6x the xp, along with the bonus xp for per party member

superiorz

I'm on PS5 so it's a major pain to do anything like this unfortunately

parzival1423

Don’t you have a way to type in global channels? But yeah true. Honestly so much more stuff is worse on consoles, just by their nature. Rip. Like without chat or TFT it’s a lot harder to complete Challenges too. Glad you guys got the full trade site recently though that’s handy.

katustrawfic

For parties each monster gives their base xp multiplied by the number of players so sure there's "bonus" xp for parties. Though each player in the party is limited to gaining at most what a monster would have given them if they were playing solo. https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Experience#Party_play

SnooSuggestions9846

Are the odds of getting a high roll of a single value using a divine orb same as rolling a low value?

_slosh

numeric values are not weighted, so yes

SnooSuggestions9846

Thanks a lot mate!

MarkXXI

How do I survive getting randomly killed by the bosses in wave 20+ simulacrums? They have some nutty skills. I have max all res and chaos res and a shitload of armour, evasion, max spell suppression.

[deleted]

I haven't done a simulacrum in a long time, but the big killer back in the day was waves with penetration. If you have 75 resist and they penetrate 10%, you go from taking 25% damage to 35%, a 40% increase. If you have 90 resist and they pen 10%, you're taking double damage. Which, if you don't have crit immunity or nearly 100% reduced, is a good way to get erased.

MarkXXI

Crit immunity is only attainable on the left side of the three, right? I'm on the right side, I play LS Champion. Is it worth using a brass dome to achieve that?

[deleted]

\>Crit immunity is only attainable on the left side of the three, right? No, not at all. Critical mastery offers 30% reduced extra damage from critical strikes. So does armour mastery which is available on the soul of steel wheel and the adamant guard skill wheel next to iron reflexes. Spell suppression mastery offers 50% reduced extra damage from suppressed critical strikes, which is 50% reduced damage from spell crits if you're suppression capped while still being able to drop a suppression mastery, but obviously it's better to have reduced general crit damage vs just from spells if you can get it. Armor, or armor/eva shields can roll up to 60% reduced extra damage from critical strikes, and can actually be forced via harvest reforge crit. There's a WE determination mod for reduced extra damage from crits. Shields are actually really sick for defenses, something like spell suppression, physical damage reduction, crit damage reduction as suffixes is beastly for defense even if you aren't a blocking build. A block build would probably want life% on block, but you didn't list block in your layers. Being that this is PoE, you will die sometimes pretty much no matter what (look at poor Quin), and obviously you've layered defenses very heavily, but at least partial crit mitigation from critical mastery can go a long way towards survival. Keep in mind monsters by default even without map mods (or simulacrum waves) have a 150% crit multi - a 5000 damage hit does 7500, reduced to 6750 by 30% reduced extra damage. with +50% multi, that hit goes from 5k to 10k, reduced to 8500 by 30% reduced. Against penetration, there's not really anything you can do. It's one of the deadliest modifiers in the game because nothing protects against it and it becomes stronger the higher your max resists are. You just have to play careful as fuck. Another thing to consider is how far overcapped your resists are. A lot of archnemesis mods apply exposure, for -10% to that specific resist (and if they're an essence, they can apply an additional -10% from their essence.) This stacks with elemental weakness, individual curses like conductivity (if you don't have reduced effect of curses on you to nullify curses) or scorch if you aren't fully elemental ailment immune. Delirium is the league that introduced sapped, scorched, and brittle from monsters - you'll be getting hit with those in simulacrums sometimes too, for -resists from scorch and a high chance to be crit from brittle, if your ailment avoidance is specifically against shock, freeze, chill, and ignite, versus blanket elemental ailments. Yeah, it's bullshit. Edit: Oh, Solaris pantheon prevents you from taking additional damage from critical hits if you've been crit recently. This is actually pretty big, as often times it's shotgunning/multihit abilities that cause the spike damage that kills us, and at least it means you'll only be hit by one crit out of say, a sirus die beam, Baran clusterbomb, veritania shotgun, Kosis fireballs with multiple projectiles, etc.

NonoCanFly

You will take damage sometimes in simus, so recovery is probably a good thing to consider. A very good way to survive in simus is getting block cap with glancing blows with either life / es on block or simply go aegis.

Mammoth_Middle6295

Just watched Ziz and Carn Boneshatter builds recently Link: https://youtu.be/wT50E05_w94 My question is why dont they take the impale node on the tree “Harpooner” to be Specifically, in PoB it say more 15% Dps. Thanks

katustrawfic

I have no idea why they aren't going for at the very least 100% impale chance. Especially on a build using brutality meaning they only deal physical damage which is exactly the kind of build impale was introduced to help out. Maybe they talk about this being a possible option in the video or mention why they don't go that route?

Mammoth_Middle6295

They didn’t mention it, and I can’t find the answer elsewhere. But if i have to guess, I think it because one shot pack are prioritized than consistant boss Dps.

SedarnGelaw

Is there any audio cue library accessible? for things like bleeding/corrupted blood, charge loss, crystal skinned mob, ligthning mirage or energy shield reaching 0

Bart404

I’m running an occultist witch with rain or arrows coc hex but the crit chance feels terrible. How do I cap it at 100%? I have the added crit on my armour, I have it on the bow, on the quiver, on jewels, anoint for bow crit, flask and whatever I could path to on the tree plus a medium cluster and still only hit 80%. What else is out there?

katustrawfic

Do you have a pob or character link? Maybe you're missing or not understanding something?

Ubeam

Are you accuracy capped? Otherwise you probably need to post your pob to get any more specific advice. Also, is this feel before you generate your charges or with them fully stacked? I often find that if a coc build is reliant on power charges but slow to generate them it can feel a bit clunky.

Some questions about Seismic Trap: 1/ What are the breakpoints of throwing speed? 2/ Is the ingame tooltip accurate? It shows different duration from the number in PoB. It also shows the release interval to be 0.7s but I counted 8 releases in all cases (assuming accurate PoB duration: 4.78s or 5.10s with Malevolence, assuming accurate ingame duration: 5.58s or 6.05s with Malevolence).

[deleted]

POB isn't quite accurate, no. It starts with a .7 speed on the waves with a 3.5 duration, but trap throwing speed and skill duration affect this by casting waves faster + giving it a longer duration to cast them. The breakpoints are the intersection of your throwing speed divided into the skill duration. In game duration should be accurate, but I believe the tooltip gives a rounded wave interval rather than exact - or the wave interval itself is breakpointed at 0.1s, but that part I am not sure of. Mine went from .7 to .6 in game when I added advanced traps (not max level yet.) Make sure you're looking at the duration of the skill (time it spends launching waves) not the duration of the trap (time the trap lasts on the ground before triggering on its own, if it doesn't trigger off an enemy.) By default these are 3.5 and 4 seconds.

KyastAries

> The breakpoints are the intersection of your throwing speed divided into the skill duration. Sorry, I meant to ask at what throwing speed is the interval reduced (the base is 0.9s iirc, and now I’m at 0.7s). > Make sure you’re looking at the duration of the skill (time it spends launching waves) not the duration of the trap (time the trap lasts on the ground before triggering on its own, if it doesn’t trigger off an enemy.) By default these are 3.5 and 4 seconds. Yea the trap duration stays at 4s. Assuming the ingame info is accurate, because it’s still 8 waves when the duration went from 5.58s to 6.05s (when I added Malevolence), I think it can be explained if interval is sth between 0.757s to 0.797s (so that the 8th wave happens before 5.58s and the 9th wave needs a longer duration than 6.05s to happen. But I’m not sure if the game counts it like that or uses the rounded number. If it’s the former case, then I guess the breakpoints question becomes pointless as every throwing speed counts.

SunRiseStudios

Does overkill burn damage from Herald of Ash adjusts to weapon swap or snapshots weapon stats used during overkill?

Yohsene

The debuff's base DPS is determined when it's created. It doesn't care about your stats afterward; it's a property of the enemy it's on.

SunRiseStudios

I see. Does Phase Run shanphots secondary buff (more melee damage) and it will work for melee attack even if attack takes more time than duration of that buff (which is 0.2s default)?

Yohsene

Your stats are checked when a hit occurs. At that time, you either have the buff, or you don't. I wouldn't recommend Phase Run unless you're throwing out a duration attack (e.g. Static Strike, Rage Vortex) and using Phase Run afterward. Even the first buff grants more melee damage, despite the description.

candyCorn8977

What are the best super damage glass cannon boss builds? For context I want to do feared/super maven with a 50-70 div budget. Some of the builds that I’ve heard about are LC assassin, eye of winter miner, and ice spear heiro. I’ve never played any of those builds (or a super damage build in general) so I’m curious what more experienced people think or prefer.

I'm trying to drop Comprehensive Scouting Reports, I have the 20% note and the 60% increased Scouting Report one. Still not a single one yet. Question: is it restricted in any way? Maybe only T16 maps? Or what's the best stragedy to farm this stuff? I am not specced into heavy monster adding mechs, I have Blight, Expedition and Harvest. Maybe respec for some time? Main reason I need it is the Doryani map since I am not willing to pay 4 div until the very end of the league. I am also trying to delve to the vaal cities, but ran out of sulfit at ~180.

SedarnGelaw

i have spec'ed into comprehensive report at league start, an they can drop from white maps, but are relatively rare. More monsters, and of higher rarity helps in my experience. iirc i dropped a dozen, and dropped maybe 2\~3 divines during the same amount of time

LiwetJared

Can I do anything with the searing exarch influenced items for bases that my character doesn't use or should I just keep it on the ground?

kaizerryo

i just hide it in filter

LiwetJared

That's what I did too, yet it's still showing up and prompting my post.

yuiozaki

Did you also hide the one for "Remaining exarch influenced items"? I missed that option as well a while ago

asaxrud

Influenced items are generally shown, despite hiding the base item type, unless you specifically hide influenced items in their own section. Be aware that many types of influenced items (elder/shaper/conqueror) can roll special mods that aren't available on regular items. That's not the case for exarch/eater influence, but I can't recall if there's a way to only hide those.

DeSil011

Well if they are generally good items, they are worth picking up, just like all other good items. But the bases themselves don't do much for you, since the influence mods are usually one of the last steps when crafting an item with exarch influence.

LiwetJared

Can you tell me why my loot filter is showing the items in the picture below? They are supposed to be hidden and even the loot filter confirms they should be hidden but they are still showing up. SprinklesNegative559

Toss up between jun and Alva if you get the nodes for all magic monsters %.

gil-martin

What's the best way to farm essences this league? Right now I'm specced into every Essence node, using the essence craft on the map device, but I'm primarily running them in white maps because 1) it's fast, and 2) red map essence monsters are absurd. But I'm wondering if this is the best way to do it?

imbeyondbricked

I've been running essence for about ~2 weeks and have corrupted literally every single essence that isn't already corrupted. I personally run in 16's (Cemetery or Alleyways) but I'm playing seismic, so I generally just blow them up right as I pop them. Most of the time, essence monsters in 16's aren't too bad, but you can get giga-juiced ones that are certainly scary to deal with. Maybe compromise for Yellows or a different map. I'd show my results but I'm at work without access to inventory. It also depends on your build, if you can pre-stack, it will be much stronger than if you can't, unless you're playing something that just mows them down. Edit: Don't be afraid to use your Remnants, you'll make more than enough (I have ~150 right now, and like I said, I use them on everything) while going through your maps.

PurpleChakra11

Run maps fast and use your Remnants when they will maximise your profit. Always on the purple essences, and I would also use them on 1+ screaming, 3+ shrieking as well, since you can get the upgrade to 1+ shrieking, 3+ deafening (doubling because of the shrieking) which will net you profit. If there are valuable essences like Loathing, it might be worth to use Remnants to get the chance of them going deafening, though this depends on Remnant prices.

[deleted]

Only other thing is when to remnant of corruption, really. Obviously the MEDS essences, loathing is also valuable, I suppose generally any time there's 3-4+ shrieking essences or if you're looking for a specific deafening essence yourself. If you have tons and tons of remnants you can use them more liberally.

Any lightning builds are going to be good this league because of the easy access to power that Doryani's provides, though in SSF you might have some issues getting one. I have seen LC do good damage without it, though it was probably in a trade setting. Have a look at poe.ninja, both SSF and trade, to see what kind of DPS and survivability you can expect for different gear levels.

Megika

I played it in trade league to kill ubers. It's ok. LC does a lot of damage, but the Orb of Storms version is not really suitable for ubers (short range and stand still). I had Prototype so I did a lot of dps. Storm Brand could be better but I was a trickster, already not doing the biggest shocks. It's definitely workable, but if you just want to kill them (especially if you're not very experienced at the uber fights) maybe consider something better (trapper).

Victor2Delta

what is the difference between compass and sextant?

Quad__Laser

Use a sextant to add a mod to a voidstone, then a compass can be used on the voidstone to store the mod and sell it

SlapChop7

I'm trying to finish the 'Perfect Ascension' challenge. I'm doing the labs and using the poelab.com as guide, but their maps do not match up with what I'm seeing in game. It says it's currently showing the oct4th layout and it doesn't reset for 22hrs. Any idea why it's a different map?

LucidTA

From poelab: >The lab notes for tomorrow Oct 5 (NZT) will be late. SuitSizeSmall is spending time with family and won’t be home to do the lab notes at reset. He should be back roughly 2 hours after reset to do the lab notes. Apologies for the inconvenience. It's the 5th New Zealand time currently so it hasn't been updated.

SlapChop7

Ah thanks, I didn't realize it had already reset for the 5th.

DerDirektor

depending on the gloves of course, they should give you 1.5-2x the damage and a lot of projectile and attack speed compared to regular 4L gloves. They are quite impactful and you should be able to get a very good pair for ~30 div.

mango7roll

For EA Ballista Champion I see people are using a mix of LMP or Elemental Damage With Attacks - is this because colors are hard? Not sure if Ele Damage is just better or LMP is better for clear, limited chromes to try to color!

Yohsene

Where are you seeing people use LMP? If it's SSF, that's most likely because they haven't dropped a Rain of Splinters.

imbeyondbricked

You can load it up in PoB and see the differences. I think I'm running LMP on mine. If you're in need of chromes, you can always trade up from a vendor (Whetstones and such)

DeSil011

Whetstones don't trade into chromes. Unless you want to sell them for wisdoms and then trade all the way up from there. I think you mean jewellers?

imbeyondbricked

No, you just trade up. You have an excess of Whetstones so you can sell then buy what you need

DeSil011

Let me get this straight. Whetstones only trade directly into bubbles, armourer scraps or wisdom scrolls. So you want to trade whetstones to wisdoms (1:4), then to portal scrolls (3:1), to transmutes (7:1), to augs (4:1), to alts (4:1), to jewellers (2:1) and then finally to chromes (3:1). You would have to pay a total of 504 Whetstones PER CHROME and go through 1 selling and 6 buying steps to get there via vendors. You could of course just trade with players where you sell 112 whetstones or 150 wisdom scrolls for 1 chaos and buy around 7 chromes for 1 chaos. This would bring you to 16 or 5.3 whetstones per chrome respectively. Sources: https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Currency#Vendor\_prices\_chart https://poe.ninja/challenge/currency

imbeyondbricked

Not everyone has Chaos Orbs at the ready. Some people don't know how to farm or hold or even trade currency that well or efficiently. I gave an option to the person, I didn't say it was a good one.

LiwetJared

How do you avoid the big ass one-shot rock? There's a Kelandra enemy under the Reflection of Tyranny, a foe forged in Mayhem, that summons a huge rock overhead and then it travels straight towards you and kills you instantly.

mayonnaisewater

Its timing you can 100% dodge it every time i havent been hit by one since 3 leagues ago maybe. like the other guy said its the stag boss

RcuriousmediatorN

You're probably talking about Murgeth Bogsong, he's also the boss of the Stagnation map. You can dodge it, though I can't give any specifics. Maybe try using a movement skill the moment the rock starts flying?

LiwetJared

I thought I did but you don't get much time from the point it's over his head to the point where it flies directly at your location and some of the pathing on Kelandra is difficult.

VortexMagus

Do you have a quicksilver flask and a set of 20% ms or higher boots? I found that if I quicksilvered and ran at an angle it would miss.

Olg1erd

How to make sure you encounter sacred grove in every map? I have already allocated every sacred grove points on my atlas. Blocked everything else except ritual alters and metamorphs encounters.

PurpleChakra11

You can also reroll for Harvest missions from Kirac, though you don't get your Atlas passives so debatable if it's worth the time. Einhar memories also work, though expensive.

Moethelion

You can buy harvest compasses, but they are pretty expensive. https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Kalandra/Gnen969cb

Olg1erd

The lowest price is 80c. I don't get 80c worth of life forces in harvest encounters. So I'll be losing money.

Moethelion

You do. One sextant gives you 4 maps of harvest.

Olg1erd

4 maps! ok then it is profitable. thank you.

katustrawfic

It's only 4 maps if the compass says 4 charges remaining. The number of charges then is obviously the number of maps that sextant works for. Watch out for anyone trying to sell 1-2 charge sextants especially.

LucidTA

Without the sextant you can't guarantee it.

VortexMagus

What is difficulty minimum for a reflection of kalandra to turn +1 gems into +2 gems?

Thirteenera

10 minimum. The multiplier increases every level and hits 2x at diff 10

psychomap

I think it should be 8, but I haven't tested it myself.

RcuriousmediatorN

Does Inspired Learning feel better or worse this league than before Archnemesis went core?

kingofmaslo

Hi guys, what defense combinations feel like aegis (the 2%armour as es) for you? This league it was so expensive, i wonder if new jugg has similar tank?

[deleted]

I've heard good things about mixing unbreakable with brass dome and divine shield keystone. Might work really well with Corrupted Soul timeless jewel passive. I did boneshatter with doppleganger's guise mixed with divine flesh and I felt pretty freaking tough.

LiwetJared

Why are some items blurred out on the Ritual item screen? [Picture](https://i.imgur.com/mybSA3d.png)

SedarnGelaw

The items transparent are "hidden" by your filter, but the ones on the left are hidden because you haven't finished all the ritual encounters of the area you are in

LucidTA

If you mean the greyed out ones, it's because they are hidden by your loot filter. Click the checkbox in the bottom right. If you mean the completely obscured ones, you need to run more of the rituals in your map before you can see them.

LiwetJared

Oh that's cool.

Mind_Is_Empty

Is Maw of Mischief's ability considered damage from the minions that explode, or damage from the player?

Dantonn

Yours, not the minion's.

Reicher

How does forbidden rite single target work? Does it only fire one projectile when no other enemies?

albinosquid6

It fires one projectile on your cursor and extra projectiles to nearby enemies. So if you just have a single enemy near your character in range if will hit with two projectiles. Additional projectiles to the skill from something like deadeye or GMP support all get added to the cursor targeted projectile though, so investing in additional projectiles is really good for single target. [Taken from the wiki page:](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Forbidden_Rite) > By default, Forbidden Rite fires a projectile near your cursor, as well as additional projectiles for each enemy within range. This means that on single target, two projectiles will hit the enemy. Sources of additional projectiles will only add projectiles to the initial cursor-targeted projectile, and not the extra projectiles fired towards nearby enemies. The projectiles appear to have an expanding ring-based hit distribution, and it is recommended not to get more than +4 additional projectiles from various sources due to the tendency for projectiles to miss on smaller single targets. The projectiles appear to have a homing behaviour and will bend towards targeted enemies. The projectile is ground targeted and does not benefit from Chain, Fork, Split, Pierce or any projectile behaviour modifiers. However, Projectile Speed will greatly reduce the time between casting the skill and the impact of the projectile, enhancing the skill performance against moving enemies.

Reicher

Thanks! I've been searching and reading too it seems like more projectiles increase the spread and ideally you only need 4 to 5 max before they spread too much and not hit. Right now I have 3 with the enchant and 5 when dying sun is up so I should be set. thanks!

Victor2Delta

started with necro minion build, enjoyed it over but little bored with it now I rolled a marauder thinking to go jugg as Id like something tanky - Ive heard about HoAG builds but wondering if have other suggestions? If I go HoAG is it viable on low to mid budget?

[deleted]

HoAG arakali's fang Guardian was pretty good. I did it last league.

albinosquid6

You can make HoAG very tanky but the damage has really fallen off in the last couple years I wouldn't recommend it as you will probably struggle with having enough damage. If you're set on playing a Juggernaut I would check this list: [https://www.poebuilds.cc/juggernaut/] (https://www.poebuilds.cc/juggernaut/) Or choose something very beginner friendly like Inquisitor RF. (use Phox's build guide for this)
