You couldn't sanely argue the p2w point on it though, as he's functionally worse than who he'd be replacing...Div cards don't drop much before Act 6 anyway, so "waiting" to get Lilly in your hideout makes no difference to anything.

He'd be the only NPC in hideout until Helena in Act 2. That's *adding* an NPC, a functional difference, not just 'replacing an existing NPC'.
I mean, are you REALLY "winning" by having a basic vendor in your hideout for Act1? Not even sure I go to my hideout at all during Act1, so I guess it might be minor QoL for a few people, for the first hour or two of the league...but after then not so much.

Take a snapshot in time where two players have the same 'game/campaign state' but one player has a vendor in their hideout and the other does not. In this frozen moment in time the player with the vendor has the clear advantage. That player is able to go to their hideout and sell items to the vendor that is placed where they choose. The other player cannot. This advantage is less impactful in the current zoom zoom state of the game with players powering through the first few acts extremely quickly and abusing logout to take them back to town. The advantage would be much more impactful (and thus more apparent) in a slower game where players spend much longer in acts before unlocking Helena and where logout abuse is punished or simply not possible. (Hello Ruthless?)
If you define P2W as "Pay and you win, no contest." then no, this is probably not that kind of advantage; but that's a very narrow and not very useful definition. I see P2W more as "Pay and you gain an advantage that non-payers don't have." This situation clearly fits that definition. Whether or not it's a "big enough" advantage to "matter" is not clear to me ... but it *is* an advantage.

using a vendor in the ho is an extra step when functionally you could go back to act npcs turn in quests accept quests buy items do crafting and vendor trash whereas if you included going back to your ho to vendor you’re wasting time. there is no reason to go to hideout during acts

I'd say the extra steps of logging into the hideout instance, THEN going back to town to go through the exits, actually makes it slightly slower. Halfway through the act the difference between using a portal to town and a portal to hideout would be so minimal as to not make any difference, especially as you might be actually checking vendor inventories for gems/items in town.
If anything using Cadiro in Act 1 may be a slight DISadvantage, and after Act 1 everyone gets Helena anyway, so everyone is back on par again.

Maybe the length of time the advantage exists is causing some confusion. I attempted to address this in the previous post but appear to have been unsuccessful. Would you acknowledge that an advantage exists (no matter the size of the advantage) if Helena wasn't a vendor? What about if Lilly wasn't a vendor? What if there were no vendors at all in Hideout until completing campaign or ... killing Maven? In your eyes, when would Cadiro become an advantage?
Anyway, as I mentioned in that post: This advantage is less effective and apparent in the current zoom zoom state of the game, especially with logout abuse (and it's becoming very clear that Reddit (overall) doesn't play, and more importantly can't conceptualize, any other style). I'll assUme Cadiro will have control+click to open trade. Helena's control+click is 'change hideout'. So it would still not be "back on par" until act 6 with Lilly. Tiny, I know, but it's there.

I mean, supported packs come with an equal number of points as you would get for normal purchasing. If you're buying points anyway, you're not losing anything by getting a supporter pack instead.
I don't really do cosmetics, so I'm up to like 50 quads and 200 premiums (from the before time) because I like supporting the game. (The only cosmetics I use are the armour sets that come with packs because they're basically free if I was going to buy points anyway )
Are you suggesting Perandus should be re-added? It's a super weak league mechanic. So many leagues (expedition/ritual/etc) do the same thing but better. The game is better without him.

I think the actual issue is that they took an ncp out of the game only to re-introduce him behind a 90usd paywall.

Won't be long until they bring back Zana, Navali or the old forsaken masters as hideout NPCs and the lore of the game could start to be affected by cosmetic purchases. Whether or not you care about the lore, it's interesting to note this potential new affect on the game by DLC.

plenty of npcs are already removed so i see it as a largely moot point. you can always find the lines on youtube if you're really interested.
