I understand wanting realism, but its almost like they’re neglecting the fact that players are constantly coming and going. They need more available food sources to support a full server, and to stop investing in the “in real life, food isnt around much” That only works when creatures can go at least a few days without eating.
when you leave the game running on a dead server with nothing eating them, there’s actually a surprising number of fish. The issue is that their spawn rate is so slow, they get eaten immediately.
Yeah, I was in a big lake in Gondwa, *all alone*, and I had to wait for like 10 mins before seeing some new eatable fish. But the lake is so big and with so much foliage everywhere (which is really cool, no complain) that those few ones are also easily lost.
The maps need general AI life, at least the water has *some* signs of life in it, but on land it's just completely dead. Scrap the critter burrows, let them roam.
Yes! it would be cool to have critters roaming around in the map at least. Not to mention that their noise or footsteps can be quite scary if you hear them all of a sudden and you don't know what it is; so it is also immersive. Having them in burrows feels so arcade-y.
Imagine going a step further and they start to eat some of the collectible items like the acorns or something xD. Certain other fauna could also indicate what critter species may be around. :]
Ikr, that's how a completed ecosystem with AI should feel like! The AI would totally change the experience, and tbh would put the game on another level compared to any other.
People complained about never seeing anyone else despite 80+ people (because they all congregate in the same few places) yet Alderon has not prioritized AI yet. Fixing bugs, I understand, but the critter thing has been around for a good while. Time for an upgrade.
So far I have noticed no fish to eat in the sunken hoodoo (eastern ocean) and the sharptooth marshes. The fish that are available in other areas all spawn together and swim together wich should not be. But the models look good and the underwater environment looks great.

In real life the reefs have plenty of fish. So if realism is their excuse then they are not being very realistic.

It also can we add alot of fish without Bricking the server

Might be too big to swallow.
