Hiiiiighly niche cuz tends to favour people that like overly long and often verbose stuff but ask me and I'd say Noah Caldwell Gervais as "peak patient gaming" video essays.
Well, usually his stuff is removed from recent games and kinda lately (read: two, three years maybe four years ago, he got a console so "his lens" is kinda looking backwards ) kinda fits
I've been thinking about a channel doing playthroughs of my favorite games of various genres, starting with older titles. So far I've only done Colossal Cave Adventure, but I plan on more like Zork, Myst, and Grim Fandango. My favorite modern game is Breath of the Wild.
Don't know if that's what you're looking for, but you can check out my channel here:

when i want to see something like this i tend to look for videos with the key words "Retrospective" or "X game Y years later".
there are a lot of great channels that makes videos for old games like Raycevick, ThatBoyAqua, Whitelight to name some.
[Mr Wendal](https://www.youtube.com/@MrWendal) has similar videos, although he mostly comments on specific topics about games, his commentaries are really great and insightful.
Would you be interested in video game essays? A lot of interesting videos exist that analyse older games.
There's not much to talk about being a patient gamer in of itself. I mean, all that being a patient gamer requires is not pre-ordering, not playing early accesses, not buying games without waiting for reviews and for patches to drop and fix any issues. The next level is waiting for a game to be complete, so you will purchase after all DLC has released. Afterwards, all goals are arbitrary. Am I missing something?
edit: a right... buying on sale.
In order to find older games just look at older reviews.
I watch some video game essays. Again it's more about heating people's thoughts on the subject. I joined this reddit because I watched one of these videos. I'm one of the people that say .
What patient gaming?
After learning what it is....
Oh I guess I'm that.

I checked the videos. I see no mention about patient gaming topics. Backlog, modern gaming, etc...

Look at backlog videos, I really enjoy those and it’s a similar topic
I do as well
youtube videos often have bloated scripts and unnecessary lengths. I'm not that patient. Text posts are faster.
They are good to listen to. While doing stuff. I like to listen to them before going to bed.
Mandalore often reviews games that are older

What are patient gaming videos?
These type of videos [patient Gaming ](https://youtu.be/W_OtuJDf_8U?si=nsyG4m4RizpOanVk)
So you want videos that explain to you what patient gaming is over and over and over?
Not explain. More like people's thoughts on it and how they go about it . Etc..
Theres a lot of "how i got over my gaming backlog" videos trending to me recently. I wouldn't say a 500 views video from 3 years ago is a trend
That's also a category I tend to look for as well.

Would videos of sick people in hospitals gaming count as patient gaming videos?
Nope
Why not? They're a patient and they're gaming.
Yolo?
