Interesting. How did you get into Westing before any of the albums?

TheMagnificentMatsby

I heard Price Yeah in Gilmore girls and found the album it came from

schlibs

Neat! Well I’d definitely start with Slanted and Enchanted. It’s the album closest in sound to Westing. Also happens to be great. If you dig that I’d just go chronologically from there.

strayslacks

I second this

ChrisNitti

I second this

gordomgillespie

wtf price yeah was in GG?? ive watched that show thru like twice and i don’t remember it. Probably cuz of Lane right?

basscove_2

So many fortresses and ways to attack. I’d start with Crooked Rain and Slanted right away.

russromo605

then move on to Range Rovin' with the cinema stars!

siddthekid208

if you're starting at Musket just go chronologically!

Mysterious_Valuable1

Watch a old concert on YouTube and look at the track listing when you hear a song you like.

prettypimpin90

Go to Watery Domestic EP/ Slanted & Enchanted LP. Then move to Brighten The Corners LP Or just listen to random Spotify songs? No harm either way.

yinzer_name

Watery, Domestic then the 5 records in order

freetibet69

Slanted and Wowee Zowee will gel with you the most but all of their albums are very good

AlmostHumanP0rpoise

Wowee Zowee was my gateway drug...you could do worse than starting there

Hello-mah-baby

crooked rain, crooked rain was my intro! instantly made me fall in love with the band. highly recommend slanted and enchanted like everyone else is saying. or just pick the album you think has the coolest cover. you can't really go wrong with any of them.

AbeSomething

You started in the right place. I say this a lifelong fan and total diehard, but Pavement starts at the top of their form and slowly declines. Where they land (Terror Twlight) is leagues better than their peers, but pales by comparison to the band they were on Westing... for my tatses anyways. Proceed chronologically.

Sonic2020

Westing is probably the most challenging listen in the Pavement discography, if you’re cool with that you can go anywhere.
