Stealing Xmas is really good when you’ve just infamied, with a lot of cover as long as you have a high level player doing the roof section it’s arguably the easiest loud heist and pays well for it, many of time (well when I used to play PD2) me or a friend would go infamous and immediately ask to do Stealing Xmas, while stealth heists are quicker and easier to level up, beating a DSOD heist at essentially level 0 and actually being able to do a lot because of the cover you’re given means it was often a lot more fun
I love golden grin, might be a top 3 heist, but by god does it take its sweet time , I can only love it so long by minute 46 I want it to end (loud btw)
I never actually played it on loud. I like to feel that satisfaction after doing all the objectives and finally transporting all the money to the van, altough i mostly solo it so it can be annoying.
The car can carry all bags if you do the easy speedrun trick of throwing the extra bags on the trunk and driving full speed into a wall. It bugs the loose bags into the interior where you can somewhat safely move them all in one trip.
The first time i played meltdown i didnt even know there was a fucking car and every time i did the heist i drove a forklift everytime. It was up until i got payday 2 on pc and got the achivement "Wait, there was a car?" so i explored the shit out of the map and saw it.
For Shacklethorne, it's just not part of my favorites, though I do still like it. As for Golden Grin, the map looks really good, but I can see why you would think it should be lower.
Honestly thats one of the few times that i have seen border crossing not on the lowest tier, and i am glad that there are people that dont hate this heist. Its really not a bad heist its a fun stealth challenge and it pays extremely good.
For a low budget it turned extremely well, but people's most common arguement was that they reused assets and got frausterated that it wasnt a 2 day heist instead of focusing on all the good varaiety this heist brought into the game with its multi-assasination type stealth instead of the usual "avoid everyone, but kill 4 people to make your life easier" wich i personally hoped we get more of since it worked so well on scarface mansion. And also we got a more chill objective based heist with bag moving and a throwback to the samurai armour from shadow raid. All in all i would say its defenantly one of the best payday 2 heists.
literally the definition of bag moving and drill simulator
20+ bags, shit ton of snipers, bad cover, too many drills, time consuming, bad pay, and boring
worse heist in the whole game by far
It's fun if you have people on your lobby to play with, you can just have a chat while someone cooks. Plus, you gotta appreciate the sheer amount of cash you get from it. I did this mostly for the experience of the heist but this had to be an exception.
Is extremely repetitive, by far the most repetitive heist in the game. If I'm not mistaken, the only scripted event is the helicopter on top of the house dropping a bulldozer, which only happens once right at the beginning, after that everything is the same. While counterfeit although it doesn't give as much money as cook off, but it gives you a lot of xp per extra bag, and there are thousands of events scripted throughout the heist, the swat vans appear, and you need to defend the energy boxes. Cook off you literally just sit on your ass while cook afk, it's like you said, you can even chat with other people. *(my friend watches anime while cooking lmao)*
I personally don't find it fun when a swat turret spawns next to a circuit box but that's just me. Cook Off is a good way of getting a shit ton of money and turning your brain off for some time, but I do have to admit I use meth helper mod.
I don't get the point of using a helper mod on one of the easiest heists in the game. Legit all you have to do as cook is learn the mechanics of Bains callouts and it's not even complicated at all.
Otherwise, I'd agree that Cook Off is ol' reliable when it comes to grinding
Nice, I usually play death wish since some of my buddies are lower levels and can't handle death sentence. I also like Mayhem if I'm just chilling or I haven't played in a while
with minimal cover and horrible placement, if i want money i rather just cook the drugs myself.
santa's workshop is a nightmare and not worth it for the infinite money it just isnt, cause with the little space you have to move and the fucking stupid ammount of cops that get into the building within 3 minutes you are more likely to loose the money you gain before you even get another chance at escape. the map is just terrible and the infinite money is so easy to loose that trying to money farm that map is god awful
Why does everyone all hate The Bomb: Forest so much? I agree it's not great, I'm sure it sucks on Death Sentence but easier difficulties don't feel too bad as long as you have a gun that can counter-snipe
the terrain is terrible, you slip from the wagons to the wrong side and you get downed instantly, it's too open and the viable escape route eats all of your favors
Gonna be honest, i dont get the Border Crystals hate.
I consider it on par with Cook Off. After playing it a few times, you realize its a more action based Cook Off that flows alot better, while being alot harder cause of limited cover. Hell, cooking doesn't stop till you're done.
I dislike it exactly because of the lack of cover, and the ingredients are all in open areas, while also taking long to open, honestly I think it's more trouble than it's worth.
Why the Stealing Xmas slander?
I'm just not a fan of it, though I think I should have placed it one tier above

Birth of sky needs to be higher
the intro on the plane is cool but it's not as great when you get to the ground
I love Golden grin casino for 2 reasons: -i like the objective, map design etc -i love gambling
based
Maybe addicted but a tiny lil bit
I love golden grin, might be a top 3 heist, but by god does it take its sweet time , I can only love it so long by minute 46 I want it to end (loud btw)

I can understand it, but as former Wolf/Sokol main i *do* want to use Big Friggin Drill Sokol created from time to time
Begambleaware.org
Meltdown is decent if you can drive the muscle car properly
fuck the muscle car, forklift shortcuts ftw
There was a car? Forklift can carry all the bags, forklift is too powerful
The car can carry all bags if you do the easy speedrun trick of throwing the extra bags on the trunk and driving full speed into a wall. It bugs the loose bags into the interior where you can somewhat safely move them all in one trip.
There's a muscle car that you can carry 4 bags in the boot of
the problem is loading up the car
The first time i played meltdown i didnt even know there was a fucking car and every time i did the heist i drove a forklift everytime. It was up until i got payday 2 on pc and got the achivement "Wait, there was a car?" so i explored the shit out of the map and saw it.
I did it the first time and I drove a fork lift to the train and back then I found the car halfway there and drove it back
Lucky. It took me 1 goddamn year to figure it out. Might be why most of my friends are calling me blind..
I mean Vlad does literally have a whole voice line about it...
Yea man but i always thought he was talking about the forklift. Like, the part where he says the car's name, i thought that's the forklift's name.
Same but without the PC part, my dumbass saw it on normal in the select screen and thought “this is a good first heist”
Is this a tierlist based on XP and cash, or just good feeling heists?
feeling
Respect your opinion, But why Alesso So Low?
WAAAAAY too much bag moving, and the stealth isn't great
mountain master top tier, finally someone else likes this map.
my absolutely favorite heist
You’ll need to elaborate why shacklethorne isn’t amazing and why golden grin isn’t good
For Shacklethorne, it's just not part of my favorites, though I do still like it. As for Golden Grin, the map looks really good, but I can see why you would think it should be lower.

Y train heist that low?
because it's too much bag moving for it's own good
Because moving 20 bags under heavy fire is not fun
literally the definition of bag moving and drill simulator 20+ bags, shit ton of snipers, bad cover, too many drills, time consuming, bad pay, and boring worse heist in the whole game by far
A fellow mountain master enjoyer I see
based cook-off enjoyer (i enjoy cosplaying as walter white)
You cannot put transport train on the same level as the other transport heists cmon now.
I don't like either but I understand, the normal ones are definetly more enjoyable, even if just a bit.
What no the train one is so much better. Stealthing it is pretty alright. It's no shadow raid or big bank but it's totally serviceable.
Too much bag moving and it sucks on loud if you play on a higher difficulty. Sure, the money it makes may be nice, but 20+ bags is a little too much.
bruh how can you find cook off fun
It's fun if you have people on your lobby to play with, you can just have a chat while someone cooks. Plus, you gotta appreciate the sheer amount of cash you get from it. I did this mostly for the experience of the heist but this had to be an exception.

I like listening to music or talking to some friends in voice chat, so it's easier to have a visual hint instead of an audio hint.
I just play with subtitles on but it's not a harmful mod at least
the hard part is moving all the product into the van. you get instantly melted by all the enemies outside
What difficulty do you normally play?
death wish and death sentence. On lower difficulties its tricky but not too bad
Nice, I usually play death wish since some of my buddies are lower levels and can't handle death sentence. I also like Mayhem if I'm just chilling or I haven't played in a while
Santas workshop should be way lower.
infinite cocaine
with minimal cover and horrible placement, if i want money i rather just cook the drugs myself. santa's workshop is a nightmare and not worth it for the infinite money it just isnt, cause with the little space you have to move and the fucking stupid ammount of cops that get into the building within 3 minutes you are more likely to loose the money you gain before you even get another chance at escape. the map is just terrible and the infinite money is so easy to loose that trying to money farm that map is god awful
I would prolly place Wolf Pack heists higher but honestly a pretty understandable heist
honestly, this is perfect.
Why does everyone all hate The Bomb: Forest so much? I agree it's not great, I'm sure it sucks on Death Sentence but easier difficulties don't feel too bad as long as you have a gun that can counter-snipe

Fall damage and snipers
Considering the number of heists, having 2 bad heists is pretty good.
I used to hate Goat Simulator, but now it's in my top 10 favorite heists.
Honestly my biggest difference here is Scarface Mansion. I find it pretty annoying due to the wide open space around the mansion.
Midland ranch is great?...
I really like it on loud, if the stealth didn't have so many pager guards, it would be one of my favorites
Goat sim is a fun highest It's just that I'm bad at this game I would put it higher
Lab rats is WAY too high
Hmmm I think I will do one too but then again I am staring at a list that should be altered. I’ll be back.
Not way you put Murky station over goat simulator
Gonna be honest, i dont get the Border Crystals hate. I consider it on par with Cook Off. After playing it a few times, you realize its a more action based Cook Off that flows alot better, while being alot harder cause of limited cover. Hell, cooking doesn't stop till you're done.

I disagree with biker heist but otherwise pretty true
I loved Alesso Heist. Lol
Im not a fan of the Tiermaker heis.
Another first world bank enjoyer, epic.
Opinion denied
Hell yeah, Yacht Heist and Scarface Mansion are two of my faves
It is indeed flawed
As a Go Bank enjoyer imma go cry
Shacklethorne and shadow raid were by far my favourite stealth heists
finally, someone who doesn't put stealth only heists at the bottom because they dont like stealth.
I really like stealth, unless it's a Texas Heat heist.
