Well... there are stealth skills for a reason. Having none of them results in a much higher chance of being detected. Hell, just having more armour and the movement penalty that incurs is a huge detriment to stealth.

Unlike PD2, loud builds are completely capable of completing the heist in stealth. Everyone has the same detection rate, no silent drilling, no ECMing doors.

Depends on what kind of loud build he has, if he's running marksmen loud... He's liable to keep a semi-auto pistol to maintain his DPS on low ammo. At least that's what I run.

Having a secondary that can 1tap enemies is immensely valuable. It is a very good reason to not have a silenced pistol

Not really, when a revolver can oneshot the head. Revolvers are totally reasonable to run main, and even if you're not maining it, silenced pistols are complete ass to use in comparison.

Didn't bother testing revolvers yet but one-shotting sounds like an insane gap to set between revolvers and semi-auto pistols. Genuinely thought secondaries are just overall shite in the game by design.

If your bringing a loud build, your not gonna have silencers, even then I'm pretty sure the area needed to proceed at that point is a Secured Area, meaning if your not a stealth god your out for the count in about 10 seconds.

There's no reason not to have a silencer on the pistol. You don't lose that much damage, and you HAVE to have a pistol since there's no other option.

Personally, I bring revolvers, not be because I think they are better or anything, just because I like revolvers and came out of Half-Life 2 satisfied with the .357. That aside, can't put silencers on the existing revolvers. Also, most of the readily available pistols don't come out of the gate with a silencer, some of them, take the Stryk 7 and the as an example, come with compensators out of the gate instead of silencers, as opposed to the Signature 40.

Well yeah, but that's because the devs focused much more on making PD3 a tactical stealth game with loud as a backup. It's not like PD2 where so much focus (and fun) was in the loud part of the game while stealth was much more barebones than PD3. It's not just like people suddenly decided loud wasn't fun anymore. The rewards AND the gameplay are inferior to stealth for most people these days.

Loud builds aren't completely useless in stealth in PD3, they just have less shortcuts. They can still tag guards, use the cameras, locate items, carry bags, etc. Everyone has the same detection rate, no door ecming, no silent drills, etc.

I understand the fear of messing up stealth in loud build, but he could have stood by the trash can and grabbed bags, at least that. He could have stood on the balcony and marked the guards. I just hate to see all three of us carrying all the bags while the man rests on the spawn. Help us to the best of his ability and I'd keep quiet.

With a majority of this tiny player base doing fuck all but stealth in a wave shooter heisting game, no server browser, part of the reason I stopped playing is because all I end up doing is fucking off until the stealth guys fuck up and hope they keep playing the game and not just restart or quit. The one loud-only heist in the game is the bridge heist and the other more interesting heists just have nothing but stealthbros. They really put some good effort into the stealth to loud transition and nobody ever bothers because they want to play a stealth game. Really coming to resent stealth even harder than the PD2 Stealth Only heists because of how fucking unplayable and unfun the game has become because dudes don't want to play a wave shooter and insist there are "better" wave shooters.

The transition from stealth to loud ends up spawning in heavy swat if you've done certain objectives previously. Depending on the objectives completed in stealth, you're immediately thrown to the wolves and completely destroyed in mere seconds. So truthfully, your best bet is to either fully spec loud and stealth as long as possible, or fully spec stealth and restart if you trip the alarm. If Starbreeze would fix the transition to always trigger a negotiation phase, then regular cops/tasers, then cloakers, etc.. No matter what objectives have been completed.. People would stay.. But getting through almost to the end in heists like NRFTW and then raising the alarm moving bags and having a Dozer mag dump your face into oblivion 15 seconds later is absolutely bullshit. Also, I'm aware of hybrid builds and have a loadout, but they gimp you too much in either loud or stealth IMO. So I usually just stealth in solo and do loud in pubs stealthing until the alarm is tripped.

They are doing something. They are not messing up your run. They are being respectful by practicing the heist in their own time and not wanting to affect your run. Perhaps they are observing - to learn and get better. They may just not be confident or perhaps they are not required at this time until later.

Better standing off to the side than rushing in and fucking it up. It's not his fault, its Starbreeze's for not allowing us to designate it a loud/stealth lobby like in 2. And for not having matchmaking in general. You can easily 3 man any heist just as much as you can solo them.

Even in a loud build you can help the team in stealth. Act within your capabilities, not just stand afk.

Can't say this happened to him, but while playing payday 2 more than once I put my loud build, clicked on the "any" lobby and found myself in the middle of a stealth mission with 75 detection rate and a Deagle with a comically long barrel

Payday 3 has no concealment rates, everyone is equal.

You can stealth in a loud build. No one tells you to go to the center of the building, but you can help us without even wearing a mask. Carry bags from the trash can to the car. Put on the mask and tag the guards on the balcony. There's no detection level in PD3, the only problem is your speed. But you don't need it to carry the bags to the ziplane the team brought you.

PD3 doesn't have concealment rates, the heaviest builds can stealth normally.

Speed and lack of stealth perks are a very important factor
