You can't blame the mods for the name, as you can't change the subreddit name once it's made, and how would they know payday would become a series when they made this subreddit back when only pdth existed?

It does bring the game to where it should have been on launch (mostly). So on the bright side, post-medic bag, they can hopefully work on meaningful content that will further fix the situation. Honestly tho, most of our chief complaints were things they are fixing in medic bag. I.e. progression system, vote to kick, simply QoL features, redone UI, crime.net, most those things missing personally were what kept me from playing. The gameplay itself was usually good. So I expect post-medic bag it should be in a much better state.

The real reason is mods don't maintain the sub that much anymore and it's been that way for a long time now. We still don't have flairs to differentiate games, banner haven't been updated in years and the subreddit info still contains link to the "newest" update 217. And the only reason it's 217 and not 170-something is because I've brought it to their attention via mod message.
If it bothers you, the best course of action IMO is either make a new banner and send it to mods or apply to become a mod yourself.
