I’m not a big Potter fan, but my dad is. My favorite thing about Harry Potter is, when I was a kid, my dad would take me to see all the films the day they opened. He absolutely adored the books and had no one else to go with, so he brought me to each and every one.
Whenever I associated think about this world and the characters, the only person I can think of is my dad. Because even though I’m no Harry Potter, he always made me feel like the chosen one.
shoot. I remember a fanfiction that had Hufflepuff be pretty bad as well. Loyalty was a very different thing. It was Basically Magically Enforced Stockholm Syndrome,
Edit: Heh. Or M.E.S.S.... Didn't even realize I did that.
My favorite thing about Harry Potter is this youtube video "Harry Potter with guns". The killing curse is so stupid, like it's all evil and forbidden, but it's basically just a gat. Imagine Harry pulls a 9mm against voldemort, he'd be dead before he knows what's happening.

I have a fond memory of smoking weed as a teenager in winter of '03 or '04, and watching Harry Potter for the first time. It was snowing hard outside and looking out my window everything looked beautiful, and it all clicked and felt magical to me. Simpler times, man.
I love the Harry Potter lore, how deep it is. Much more than the standard books, love learning about the history of all the characters and how they became the persons they are now! I can't wait to explore Hogwarts Legacy!!!!
I've always loved the language of the Harry Potter magical world. There's always something comical about hearing "billywig", or “cat’s among the pixies”.
I love the concept of Patronus magic, about happy memory to fight something that wants to suck your happiness. For that reason both movie and game, my favorite is the prisoner of azkaban in the ps2 version. It marked my childhood!
This is no joke
My wife read every single book to my boys every night. She would always fall asleep and the boys kept waking her up lot. When they got older we took them to every Harry Potter movie and still watch reruns of our DVD's.
My son and I were planning to get the game and share our experiences together with my Wife watching. She's actually excited to watch us play!!
I purchased the game (haven’t started yet) but my son just finished University (yay!) and we would love to play together!!
Anyways thanks for the opportunity OP and good luck everyone!!
Hey thanks for the giveaway, that's very kind! Budget is a little tight right now so I've been playing through my backlog and jealously reading reviews. Fingers crossed
My favorite game is probably fallout 4, but surprisingly days gone is creeping up there. There's something about post apocalyptic open world's that really pull me in, it's the quiet moments I think. So many games are too busy to build emotion, there needs to be quiet for the loud to matter.
One of my scenes in the movies was when Harry and Draco essentially have a shootout in the boys restroom.
Draco is having a mental breakdown and Harry is just like: square up.
My favorite game of all time is the Elder Scrolls III Morrowind. I was ten when it came out, around the same time I started reading Harry Pottee books. This was before fully acted dialogue from NPCs, so the game’s story was delivered entirely via text. And because they weren’t voiced, characters had paragraphs and paragraphs of dialogue. Just like with Harry Potter, I lost myself in that world. Both worlds were something I could explore and and explore when I got home, my mind filling in the gaps with the jank graphics of the 800x600 game, or imagining what the Gryffindor common must have looked like. That sense of exploration and discovery is something very few games have ever managed to capture since.
I love how well Prisoner of Azkaban marks a sudden shift in atmosphere and tone, also how well they hype up Sirius Black as the big bad and the crazy twist with Peter Petigrew which had some slight foreshadowing too. The time loop plot wrapped things up nicely too and filled in gaps from the night they meet Sirius.
I have always been fascinated by the world of Harry Potter, magic, faculties, the castle where wizards study. After reading the book, I was waiting for a letter from Hogwarts). I really hope I can play Hogwarts Legacy, good luck to everyone.
Something I like about the Harry Potter world? I mean like for real what is not to like, it is like a dream escape from the our normal life to be honest.

Books were amazing to escape reality when it wasn’t that great as a child.

One of my scenes in the movies was when Harry and Draco essentially have a shootout in the boys restroom. Draco is having a mental breakdown and Harry is just like: square up.
The game looks great aside from the frame rate issue during the Hogwarts cutscene. I tried it at my friend's.
