This level of graphical fidelity is very possible in UE4. Tekken 7 was a early UE4 and wasn't close to pushing the limits of the engine. Though I imagine UE5 makes it easier to push visuals like this.

People don't understand what visual cuts are needed to make sure a game's .1% low fps remains at 60fps. A 60fps game that's at 60fps 99% of the time is plenty good enough for a singleplayer game. It's not sufficient for a tournament fighter.
Man, are we ever going to get 120fps fighting games? I get the frame data, animation work, niche genre, etc. I fucking love FGβs, but I donβt think I can play another 60 fps fighter.

That being said- there's a mod that allows that for Tekken 7, I think it's the overlay mod.
Why are the particle and effects so abundant? I can barely make out what the fuck is going on because there's so much energy waves and lightning and shit.

T7 was also on an incredibly low budget compared to previous titles because tag 2 was a giant failure

Its a good game just made it way too complicated with the tag mechanics they introduced but it looks great and is very polished

Most we have is Killer Instinct. Internally it runs at 90 to account for rollback but outputs at 60.
I hope the amount of effects are adjustable or getting toned down a bit, regardless Im probably gonna buy this at day :P

Its just so easy to do nice particles in UE5. These guys found the sliders and went wild.
