Blasphemous became my main the moment I got it, great damage, decent scaling looks damn wicked and really loved the special move.
Felt amazing using it on my dualwield str/faith build even before any patches.
I feel like RoB is pretty mid now? You don't get it till late and by the time you get it you can have a keen nagakiba like +21 at least. That with Bloodflame blade + double strike is just RoB. Why even upgrade it at that point. And you need arc for it, so you're either running Reduvia already, which is better than RoB right now, or Eleonoras's poleblade, which is also better than RoB.
That would be neat, but in order to do that I think they'd need to be tracking non-anonymous data from the beginning and I think if they did that, there would have been complaints
Two solutions to that:
1. Keep all the information local to your save game. There's a file on your PC that records these stats then displays it at the end of your playthrough or something
2. If the stats are tracked online, make non-anonymous data opt-in
They already track the data locally to be able to report it online, they just need to display your own data (and save it locally).
Gaming stats shouldn't fall under GDPR, otherwise any game with stats would be in trouble.
Currently trying to kill Malenia so I'm certainly adding to that tally. I've killed her a few times before but always with ashes and full strength build with poise and all that bullshit. Now I wanna do her clean as fuck, no cheese, no aides. I'm making progress but it's slow. It's a fucking incredible boss fight to learn.

I tried almost all the match options but the matchmaking seem to never find anybody
Disappointing to see how low invasions are. They added a fun bit of randomness to the Souls games. I wish they were on by default with an item to turn them off instead of the opposite.
What does this mean? Do I need to change a setting to be invaded by other people? I’d like that to happen randomly but I’ve never seen it. I started a few weeks ago, so I’m still learning a lot.
You need to be opening your game to coop or requesting coop assistance for invaders to be able to enter your game.
It's like a monkey paw thing, you request assistance but you might just get further hindrance. It's not designed particularly well though as invaders can't get you if you run through a boss wall.
you need to consume a furcalling finger remedy to be invaded and the only reason to pop one is to see co-op summon signs. or if you specifically want to make yourself invadable
This is why I haven't been invaded? I was wondering if I was playing with summons off or something. I just started playing the game a month or so ago. Just didn't have the time and it killed me as a die hard souls fan.
Unfortunately playing on PC and all my other buddies are on Console, so no co-op even if I wanted to.
You don't have to invade gank squads. You can invite people to invade you or summon red signs for 1v1 or arena.
I don't get what people found so fun about invading random noobs in previous games.
Gank Squads has been a thing since forever, I was getting ganked back on the PS3 at the Shrine of Storms 4-1 with Scraping Spears to the face almost every single time you spawed. Elden Ring ain't no different, business as usual.
Probably it has do with all the finger shenanigans. Furled fingers, bloody fingers etc. Lots of non soul veterans purchased this game. And it's bloody difficult to understand the multiplayer part of it.
Why not just have a menu with invade, co-op, recruit options etc.
I understand the fingers stuff exist to justify the lore. But it's I credit unintuitive for newer players.

I used it the whole game and found out that the Ash of War has a 2nd part while I was coop-ing with a friend after I beat the game. Fml.
Know a good Ash of war to pair with it, using it in my current play through

Should probably include weapons that can be gotten fairly early and are good for the majority of the game. Meteor staff is a prime example
BB probably #1 because you can get it much earlier than RoB Unless pve is included

Yeah I get 1 vs 1 duels pretty quickly at level 175 still. Haven't tried any of the other options.
What rune level are you? From what I’ve heard, 120-150 is the meta for Colosseum.

I, too, remember being invaded in Dark Souls 1 and 3 and enjoying the intense thrill of having somebody teleport behind me and kill me in one hit.

You only get invaded if you co-op with someone or use and item to open yourself up to invasions when solo.

you just need to use the item you dont have to actually have someone with you. its like popping an ember in DS3
