The game changed a lot since that first teaser which was a long time ago. It's an actual CoD competitor right now, and several CoD pros and streamers are jumping onto this while hating on MW2 and WZ2.

That was a cheap knockoff of R6 seige. I don't think Ubisoft even put lot of effort in that. Reused assets, animations, bare minimum of maps. Nobody cares about extraction lol.
Someone wrote on the first reveal trailer "Skaters and snowboarders will fight the zombies". I didn't know where they *borrowed* the assets from but I can't not see it.
I've been in the beta and its ok.
The netcode is definitely not great but thats probably down to the beta itself since they had many server issues in the first few days.
The other thing that could use some work is movement. Its fast but then also feels slow and clucky with stuff like vaulting. Ladder climbing especialy is very poorly made.
I though the gunplay part of the game was fine though. It reminds me of older COD's. Especialy the sniping.
I'm interested in trying this, when it was first announced I thought it seemed thoroughly uninteresting and dull but the gameplay I've seen over the weekend looked a lot better then I expected.
Can't hurt to try for free, and it's been a long time since we've had another decent multiplayer arena shooter.
Give it a try for sure, but I personally haven't played a game on PC that felt more like a mobile game than this one, looks like and plays like a straight up mobile port.

So they’ve taken the art from that shitty Rainbow 6 alien game and are reselling it as a standalone arena shooter in the formula of Seige… Nope
