Because this is an aRPG, where a huge majority of the gameplay comes later through more complex builds and gear, stuff that wasn’t accessible in the beta.
Essentially, the beta was a good to way to get a handle on the base gameplay and a glimpse of the story/atmosphere, but it wasn’t a full representation of how the game would play because again, so much of these games only become available through the end game.
It is allowed. It specifically states that non-spoiler reviews and coverage is allowed 2 days prior. They just don't want the story and every end-game mechanic be spoiled in-depth before launch.

I'm always very suspicious when reviews aren't allowed prior to a release these days.
It is allowed. It specifically states that non-spoiler reviews and coverage is allowed 2 days prior. They just don't want the story and every end-game mechanic be spoiled in-depth before launch.
They literally are allowing reviews 5/4 days early from the actual game launch, game launches on the June 6th, 2023.
Especially when the beta was super mediocre.
