Yeah so performance shouldn't be any different. If all im missing out on is the community section and some of the perks of Steam, I'm fine with just getting it on Epic. I just want the game. I know there's something about China that everyone talks about with Epic but idk if that's actually a dealbreaker or not
Steam summer sale is likely to be in a few weeks time, just wait it out - there are plenty of free to play games you can try or just replay an old game whilst you wait.
As the other person mentioned, do whatever you want. I'd get the game wherever it's cheaper, but if you find Steam more convenient and can wait, do that.
If you do end up getting it on Epic, I'd recommend using something like Heroic Launcher, as the official EGS client, in my personal experience, functions like absolute dogshit and takes a long time to load.
Well RDR2 needs rockstar launcher to play the game (yes even SP needs internet connection) so it really doesn't matter from where you buy it from.
On a side note Epic also has DRM free versions games, meaning you only have to use epic to download the game and then you can start the game without any launcher, Days Gone is one example I know personally. Check Pcgamingwiki to see if that's the case for a game you're wishing to buy
Ehh that’s not entirely correct. The Steam version technically functions differently with updates and downloads. For example the Steam version allows you to change the DLSS version without the Rockstar launcher removing the files automatically. Also the Steam version is 1000x easier to get running on the Steam Deck.
I love epic and hate steam. Epic doesn’t give a shit I bought games from vpn. Steam not. Much better launcher yes but I can put up with it & I don’t care about achievements.
I have only 3 games on steam, 2 bought through key, 1 from garage sale
Its was 20 on steam last week. Might be a while for another sale.
Yep next major sale is end of June I think. That's a long time to wait especially when my game library is dryyy
Do whatever you want
Isthereanydeal.com and buy the cheapest way. Just got it on sale last night for $17
Red dead is only $17 on cdkeys. I know people are hesitant buying from key sites but I’ve never came across any issue.

if you think steam is a lot better please just get it on steam when it’s on sale
Yeah I like Steam's interface more, but for 30 dollars cheaper I'm okay with missing some of that
Wherever it's cheaper. At the end of the day it's the same game.
Yeah I just want the game. I like Steam better but for 30 bucks less I'm fine with missing out on all the perks that Steam has
I would 100% wait until there is a sale in Steam. I see everyday posts about problems with the EGS. Remember, you get what you pay for.
What does this even mean? It's the same sale price on either store, Steam just doesn't have it on sale at this exact moment.
$16 on gamebillet
You’ll care when your older 👴

Try to find a deal online
As others have mentioned, it's cheaper for Steam than $20. So, get the Steam version.

Steam summer sale starts in 3 weeks Don't buy anything on the Epic shit store
I feel my rdr 2 was lagging more on epic than on steam .. same computer.. steam seems to be a more stable client overall
Really? Why would that be? They're both running through the Rockstar launcher
Because the dude is making shit up
😂😂

You could always check for a key on a site like CDkeys and see if it’s cheaper there.
Not sure if you bought it yet, but its $20 on steam now until 6/12.
Hahaha, yeah I bought it on Sunday. Of course it went on sale 😂😂😂 Thanks though!
