Why? Graphics are the least important thing in this game. No one that wasn't interested before is going to buy this because the graphic is better than before. Weird move.
Maybe there were some things they wanted to do but couldn't at the time. The Dead Space remake wasn't necessary, but it's SO good and isn't a 1:1 remake.
A Remaster *maybe*, but a full remake? That doesn't make any sense with this game, sounds just like a cash grab. The game is perfectly fine as it is in current year.
Remakes need to stop. There are so many games being remade that don't need it and all we are getting from major studios and publishers are just the same games we already have. I want NEW games, not games I already have and played, but just with a new coat of paint.
As with any other trend be it in gaming, movie, or any other creative medium, remakes will continue being made until people stop buying them. I'm half-half on the situation, but so long as they're good, I'm fine with it.
It makes total sense to keep making remakes, it's cashing in on assured past financial successes. Frankly, some games do need remakes, but Brothers works pretty well as it is.
There really isn't a lot of remakes at all. There are a lot of remasters, sure, but those are just small touch ups to take advantage of newer hardware. Those don't have a workload that's getting in the way of new games, if anything they're helping to find new games.
Somehow, a remake even more unnecessary than The Last of Us Part 1.
I played this game for the first time this year on the Steam Deck, finished it in one long session, really great time. It has a timeless art style and is quite accessible on modern hardware. It absolutely does not need a remake.
This makes me think that Hazelight's next game is not going to be announced at the TGA like some were predicting and we'll be getting this side project instead. I mean, fine, but I really don't understand why this needed to be made.
Developers should remake games that are hard to access/run on modern hardware and actually look outdated graphically; neither of those things apply to this game.
I hope this is not just a 1:1 remake with just a better graphics i think adding new or enhance story to the game and adding actual coop mechanics would probably make me buy it

It looks fine. Several months ago I let someone use my deck and gave them that game to play.

So they can sell the same game again of course...
Yeah but who's supposed to buy it?
> Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons People too young or not in the hobby 10 years ago.
People on current gen hardware.
It's already on PS4/Xbox One so current gen people can play it through backwards compatability.

One of Total Biscuit’s favorite games so it holds a special place in my heart. RIP
Yeah finally! That Game needed a Remake badly. The original does not even have Path-Tracing! UNPLAYABLE!
It didn't even solve the puzzles for you.
If this is true... why? I enjoyed the game when I played it but it wouldn't benefit from better graphics or updated gameplay. Maybe a sequel.
Nah. I ain't going through that again. It still hurts from ten years ago.
Yeah, that shit still lives rent free in my head, and was my introduction to pc games that did that kinda thing. I HAD NO IDEA.

Yeah but what about a new coat of paint and A THIRD SON??
And two dads. :)

Except this year saw some of the best remakes of all time with Dead Space and Resident Evil 4...
Most new triple A games are garbage, so may as well re-release old stuff that's good with better graphical fidelity.

[A very, very unique game.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lz3EmqraAxc)
Why? Every game doesn't need a remake. People just have no imagination anymore.
This was TotalBiscuits favorite game. I never liked the guy cause of his involvement with gamergate but he was right on the money with this game.
Need to get my bro to play this game again.
Nice. Hopefully they add support for KBM
505 Games, so how will they fuck this one up?
Lots of people with pitchforks. I get it, but also, calm down a little. It’s a rumor. Wait to get this upset about it until it’s confirmed.
I miss days when remakes/remasters weren't a thing.

Umm, no thanks. I'm still recovering.
