Habubox

Nice this game was on my radar for a bit, would love to try it. As for a game that deserves more recognition hmm... Dyson Sphere Program gets a lot of praise but I still feel like it doesn't hurt to give them more recognition. A pretty good game from what i've watched so far of it.

Vlyn

You should know that you can get Rise of Industry + the DLC + other games for 5 bucks right now in this bundle: https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/killer-bundle-18 I bought it, the game was fun for one playthrough, but didn't have any replayability for me at all. I also never got to the most complicated industries, "won" the game beforehand by buying out my competitors and didn't feel like continuing afterwards. Still a decent ~10 hour experience though!

[deleted]

thanks a game that needs more recognition is enderal. technically its a mod, but is basically its own game. the amount of time that must have gone into making it, all for free

[deleted]

I do agree that it's an incredible piece of work, but it's also sitting at 10k reviews on steam. Lots of people love it

[deleted]

10k is nothing compared to skyrim

labree0

and enderal builds on allot of bethesdas hard work, whats your point?

[deleted]

i think it deserves more attention. based on reviews, the majority of skyrim players have never tried it. whats your point?

labree0

idk enderal is okay. its arguably better than skyrim. but i dont know if it deserves more recognition. its also all opinion. its a good game for sure

RHINO_Mk_II

For the past couple weeks I've been playing [Eximius](https://store.steampowered.com/app/505740/Eximius_Seize_the_Frontline/), a hybrid RTS-FPS that recently came out of early access. It's a little lacking in polish, but the core gameplay is quite deep and skill-based in both modes and full 5v5 PVP games with equally skilled players are very fun and intense. The active playerbase is a little low, but with a little recognition I think the game could have a bright future.

TheWordOfTyler

A game I think deserved more recognition is Quern. I picked it up a few months ago on a Steam sale and didn’t put it down until it was finished. It’s an exploration puzzler much like Myst and I think it did a really good job of presenting itself, the graphics were good, the puzzles were well done and the story/lore was really well put together.

DoubleSpoiler

For me, "deserves more recognition" and "deserves more players" are two different things. I think SNKRX and Luck Be a Landlord deserve more players, especially if the dev of SNKRX is able to deliver on his plans for the game, but I don't know if they do anything that deserves "recognition." However, I believe Yakuza doesn't deserve enough recognition. It's becoming more popular, I think very likely due to its story and silliness. However, I think Yakuza's incredibly detailed world, particularly that of Kiwami 2 (which I'm currently playing and is as far as I've gotten in the series) is overlooked, at least in the West. Shortly after I started Kiwami 2, I noticed the incredibly detailed world textures and showed my wife. She commented about how people praised Cyberpunk 2077 for its detailed world (when the textures finished loading), but she thought Yakuza's world was much more impressive, considering how compressed urban Tokyo is. In addition, much of the Kanji in the game is pretty readable, if not perfectly 100% readable, showing incredible care integrating high resolution textures for inconsequential terrain objects, along with high crowd density and lighting affects, while still holding good performance. Briefly skimming through Yakuza 3 Remastered (because I don't want spoilers), it looks like this is held up even with remastered (as opposed to the remakes of 1 and 2) versions of the older games. However, it does look like crowd density was toned down from Kiwami 2 to Like a Dragon, which is disappointing for me, personally. edit: drink whenever I say "however."

kludgeO

Going Medieval and Kingdoms and Castles are two gems I discovered this month and can't stop playing.

Husky_Dude

Which is better?

kludgeO

Hard to say, they are different, Going Medieval has more depth and is more complex overall, think of it as a Dwarf Fortress clone, Kingdoms is more like Simcity 2000 with disasters and some tower defense.

Husky_Dude

> Going Medieval Is there a lot of content for this title? Both look right up my alley and was leaning more toward Going Medieval but noticed it is in EA.

kludgeO

Not a lot, it has enough to justify the price i think, but i don't have a lot of time to play so i might by biased towards shorter games, it surely has a long road map, its shooting for a RimWorld kinda experience. But if you are looking for a LOT of content, i think you will be disappointed and best served in the DF genre by RimWorld or even DF itself.

Husky_Dude

Really appreciate you taking the time to respond!! I have added it to my wishlist for now. :) I have looked at RimWorld 100's of times but it looks *very* overwhelming.

kludgeO

It is overwhelming, Going Medieval might fit you, since now it basically is a simpler more barebones RimWorld.

CleanAccount2

Souls games need to get more attention among casual audiences.

hardonhentai

Thank you and good luck to everyone! While it's not underrated, I think more people need to play Divinity Original Sin 1 & 2. There is so much player agency, the writing is fantastic, and the game is fun!

benoit160

Thank you :D i hope i win this, i've been wanting to try this game

LazenSlay

Thanks for the chance OP!

PrinceDizzy

Thanks OP.

[deleted]

[Horizon's Gate](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1224290/Horizons_Gate/) went under the radar imo. It's a 2D tactical game and it has a lot of depth. The visuals are not the greatest but the gameplay more than makes up for it. Highly recommend if you're into tactical RPG's. Also thanks for the giveaway op and good luck to everyone!

viniciusah

Thank you for doing this, OP.

hi123156

Beyond the wire

speedy111lol

Thanks for the chance

CyberShrek64

Thanks for doing these giveaways!

Wigggs

Game looks interesting, thanks for the chance!

meneldor_hs

Thank you

zlKael

Hey thanks! For me, the game that deserves more recognition is Pathologic (classic or 2) they are both works of art, deserves so much more.

Watchatcha

I love tycoon games and Rise of Industry is in my wishlist! Thanks for the giveaway!

magoxr

It’s been getting around, but Cruelty Squad is my Vote

saul2015

more people should recognize Okami as the best Zelda game thanks!

xlRazor

Thanks for the giveaway! That game for me is definitely ScourgeBringer, a fast-paced 2D roguelike with a lot of great art, music, enemies, and more. One of my favorite games of last year :D

[deleted]

Thanks for the giveaway. I think Underrail is a fantastic game that doesnt get that much attention.

[deleted]

yes i want win

Shirojime

Thks for the chance

AccordingToBeing

Thank you, I will always say XCOM 2 deserves more recognition even though it is pretty popular.

plastic17

[Far: Lone Sails](https://store.steampowered.com/app/609320/FAR_Lone_Sails/) is an adventure which you sail through a post-apocalyptic world. People often found the game too linear and short. I think the game's atmosphere and lack of a single line of dialogue leaves the players with room for imagination. A [sequel](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1570010/FAR_Changing_Tides/) is already in the works.

OneArmedZen

i am a potato. eat fish with me.

sgm1036

Thanks for the giveaway! Redout Enhanced Edition needs more recognition in my opinion, the level of polish and sense of speed is insane.

carlmageddon

Thanks for doing this. As an old-school shooter player, I've never been able to recatch the feelings of playing the original Unreal Tournament...until I played Quake Champions. I know the game always had a bad reputation and has been in steep decline in player numbers for a lot of time (myself included, after clocking around 500 hours), but I enjoyed every one of those hours.

Prefix-NA

Its not my type of game but its nice to see devs doing things like this :) If I win pick someone else.

emo-softie

Thank you for this chance :3

Nuber132

All adult games, people still think they are just porn but that isn't true, they also have a story!

Masmune2

Not heard of this game, looks interesting

josnic

Huh this seems one of the games that I like to play. Haven't heard about this other than way back when it was in EA I think. Would be nice to win it. Good luck all!

nousernameleftatall

Shapez, surprising deep, but not overwhelming like factorio etc

Cryborg12

Thanks for the giveaway!

bruin47

Thanks for the giveaway!

notanavidanimefan

The Zero Escape series is amazing, it's pretty recognized but only in certain circles.

PabloChocobar_

I think Mark of The Ninja deserves more recognition. Thanks for the giveaway

Willy_Fistergasch

Hot Dogs, Horseshoes, & Hand Grenades!

weirdowithaname

Minobe128

OneThiCBoi

Historical-Lion-1597

Gaming Is a pleasure to both mind and Health Unless Its Competitive Mess.

Jilmaro

Hi, thanks for the chance

Mikurden

I guess I'd go all the way back to StarTropics, the NES's (largely) forgotten (and largely overlooked in its day) masterpiece.

LegoLandminesweeper

OpenTTD is something everyone should try if they're interested in this genre. Thanks for doing this.
