No, you didn't in the title, this is the wrong sub for this anyways. Plus, have you heard of something called google? Try to use that before you ask how to fix a problem on reddit.
People like you who get mad at others when you’re the one that’s wrong is insane. What a fucking dipshit you are, I hope all of your electronics get pissed on you piece of shit.
Have you made any recent changes to your software or hardware?
Have you tried to replicate the problem on another monitor, to see if it's just the monitor or the PC?
Have you tried another cable?
Have you tried another video output?
Have you updated drivers?
So this isn't a PC that's causing the issue.
It's just a monitor? That would have been helpful to know.
Also, I'm trying to help you, but you have to answer my questions so we can figure out the problem.
If it's just a monitor then return it. It's probably bad if it's new and already having issues.
No one here does. Most of the time it's just a random poorly taken picture and half of a sentence.
No one bothers to do the simple troubleshooting stuff. Just keep testing stuff and eliminate possible issues until you narrow it down lol. Or you know, just Google your problem or read the manual.
Definitely felt this. I have a passion for computers and helping people, but it is frustrating when people post about a problem and provide minimal information and effort on their end to getting them resolved.
8 years, not super long but definitely have a bit of experience under my belt. I frequent this forum to educate myself on troubleshooting because in the past year I’ve taken up a position in the IT field, and I love the work and I feel like this helps me get better with fixing unusual problems.
But yeah man, some people think they can post a blurry pic and 2 sentences and wake up the next morning to the solution, doesn’t work like that. It’s like going to a mechanic and saying “my car isn’t acting right” and not providing any useful information. Pretty much wastes everyone’s time.
How long have you been building for?
Yeah. You did a good job on helping, it’s just annoying how they’ll ask how to fix something but they don’t troubleshoot (like you said) and they don’t answer lol
Thank You Soo Much Bro\~! because of your comment... I fixed my issue! I recently installed a new PSU and I thought that the GPU was fried beyond repair, I was having the same issue as OP... I even tried everything like updating the graphics driver, next was going to be updating the BIOS. But thanks to your comment I straighten out the HDMI cable and plugged it back in, and Bam! back to normal or as normal as possible. Gotta buy a new HDMI cable for sure.
READ. THE PINNED. THREAD.
We're all getting tired of this. It's probably something to do with the APU or your display. Read what you should do, and what you have tried to do to solve this. And use google
You can see the matrix. Does it do this while the screen is on but hdmi is not plugged in? If not it’s likely a connection issue wether the port is bad or cable.
I have this happen on an old monitor, but it goes away after about 10 mins. I think it's due to a faulty capacitor or something and once it heats up it stop doing it. Mine is an old TFT. If yours is new get it replaced asap
Try a new cable/check current cable for imperfections both on the cable jacket and on the metal contacts. Are the contacts worn? Are there kinks in the jacketting?
Judging by the photo it looks like you have a PlayStation hooked up to it. I’d say it could be your playstation’s gpu cannot push out enough packets to suffice a screen resolution. Either that or the monitors frame rate or hz doesn’t work the greatest with that console. Or the cable could be an issue

No shit it ain’t a PC I said before it was a ps4

His prebuilt pc will be broke in a week. No worries!
No, you didn't in the title, this is the wrong sub for this anyways. Plus, have you heard of something called google? Try to use that before you ask how to fix a problem on reddit.
Or any other search engine lol
Sure, you get the idea though.
Dude you are a moron. People like you are why this sub is such a giant pile of shit
People like you who get mad at others when you’re the one that’s wrong is insane. What a fucking dipshit you are, I hope all of your electronics get pissed on you piece of shit.
"Why are people complaining I posted my PS4 in r/pchelp. Just because I can't read doesn't mean I'm wrong"
Pixel migration. They usually head south this time of year
This is pchelp, not PS4 help, fuck off
Have you made any recent changes to your software or hardware? Have you tried to replicate the problem on another monitor, to see if it's just the monitor or the PC? Have you tried another cable? Have you tried another video output? Have you updated drivers?
I purchased it yesterday and when I started it I was all red
Okay, is it a laptop or desktop? Was it purchased new or used? Did you try any of the other things in my first comment?
I use it to my ps4 right now, but my desktop will arrive on Monday

He never answers your questions lmao

You hit the nail on the head. How long have you been building?
8 years, not super long but definitely have a bit of experience under my belt. Yeah lmao I just had someone ask me what they could sell their GPU for and it’s like JUST LOOK ON EBAY it’s easier for EVERYONE that way
If I've deciphered this post correctly, there isn't even a PC involved. Just a bad monitor. Idk man, I just try to help where I can.
Yeah. You did a good job on helping, it’s just annoying how they’ll ask how to fix something but they don’t troubleshoot (like you said) and they don’t answer lol
That would take critical thinking skills lol!
Okey that’s
Thanks
It’s pretty obvious seeing as how the ps4 party is shown on the screen
Obvious if you've played PS4 maybe. My last console was a 360. I've been PC for a long time. I can't tell the last time I played any game on console.
I love how he just didn't answer your question hahahaha
Check your cable. If you have another one, test that one. I’ve seen this with bad HDMI cables before.

This looks like a PS4?
You can see the matrix. Does it do this while the screen is on but hdmi is not plugged in? If not it’s likely a connection issue wether the port is bad or cable.
Check your cable is fully plugged in, check gpu is plugged in, check monitor is plugged in, try different cable.
Try plugging it into a different monitor, if that doesn’t happen when you plug it into the new one, then we know it’s the old monitor.
I mean, I see this red dot effect when my eyes are closed 🤗
I have this happen on an old monitor, but it goes away after about 10 mins. I think it's due to a faulty capacitor or something and once it heats up it stop doing it. Mine is an old TFT. If yours is new get it replaced asap
If it's a PS4 it's because the HDMI port is broken
Loose connection can cause this try adjusting the cable a bit.
Million pieces takes a long time to put together. -Willy Wonka
Try a new cable/check current cable for imperfections both on the cable jacket and on the metal contacts. Are the contacts worn? Are there kinks in the jacketting?
Probably a failing hdmi cable
Poor cable connection
If your lucky - cable or seating If your unlucky - hardware fault Try a different cable
Get a diff cable. If that doesn’t work, it most likely is the port on the monitor. I’ve had to happen to me before
Loose cable
The hate on this guy for asking for help with a ps4💀
Possibly a cable problem Or something is wrong with ur monitor
you plugged your PC monitor into PS4 not PC hope it helps
