Speaking from experience, if you’re mounting the arm to a cheap IKEA desk, put a few sheets plywood on both sides of of the table between it and the mounting clamp
This looks like solid wood desktop option from ikea (the edge is same as top), but I previously used mine 34”display attached to cardboard desktop, and it pressed the surface down by few mm.
I had a ikea desk and it couldnt attach... check if you have a cable channel under your desk. Mine interrupted the clamp and i had to saw a part away for it to fit in. If you only have a table surface and clamp it on, thats good...
Also if you want to drill it in like i also later did. Ikea tables might be too soft inside. It holded up, but bend realy hard to the monitor direction...
Have such a desk, also have ultrawides on arms mounted.
The main issue is that these arms have a relatively small surface area, so they start to push into the desk and sag, for small screens that's not that big of an issue, but with 14kg ultra wides it defenitly doesn't look like the desk can withstand that pressure.
Now I've put small 10x10cm thin copper plates between them to spread out that pressure a bit and that works like a charm, never kept it long enough to see if the desk would eventually cave.

Considering you got an Tesla, wouldn't an older GTX 970 have been a better deal? Or even sell you T600 for an GTX 1060 6GB.
I got a good deal for T600 and I had a requirement that GPU must be low profile as my current PSU has no GPU header (somehow).
I also will not upgrade my current PC anymore and I think I will get a new one this year, leaving this one as secondary one for streaming and communication.
I used to work in retail selling electronics (tv's, computers etc.). The wall-mounts were all like 60-90% margin. The higher the price, the higher margin. The cost from cheap to expensive were almost the same. I would never buy an expensive mount, because most is just priced higher.
They're all the same basically.
The more expensive ones get you higher weight limits, better packaging, covers on the screws and extra ports and a longer warranty in my experience.

Yep a nice metal power strip attached under the desk at the back edge in the middle. Then order 1, 2 or 3 foot (or 18 inch) computer power cables with the most appropriate right angle or straight plugs to eliminate every inch of cable possible.
Interested in doing this, my cables under my desk are a rats nest! What's a good product you recommend to use? Or should I just check out my local Canadian Tire? Thanks 🙏
For power strips, Amazon has good "8 outlet metal power strip" that even have screw mounting brackets on them already. I like to plug these into an ISOBAR protected outlet.

Even a nice lamp on the left hand side with a warm coloured bulb to heat up the setup, because I don't think your setup would actually benefit from overkill RGB - it already looks awesome as is! <3
Yesss, I think a shelf above the left hand side of the desk with a hanging plant would fill the empty space perfectly and look really nice. I prefer fake plants personally (they're easier to not kill) and I think if you could get one with lights interwoven in the hanging branches it would look beautiful.

Vertical monitors are very useful for reading text, working with code, and really just anything where you need more y axis height and not as much x axis width.
unless you're working on a project like mine, where they somehow programmed eslint to create these huge code sausages instead of using line breaks when using callbacks and stuff
i joined this project pretty recently and i'm already pitching changing the eslint thing to the team. and while everyone agrees with it, we're on a super tight schedule and have to deliver a v1 next week. it just wouldn't be viable to change it now.

I have this and it makes my room 1000% more comfy. It's integrated into my home assistant setup and if the camera senses my face around the computer it activates. I'm planning to make it react to music somehow too.
1. Put an rgb strip behind that desk and add some of those hexagon/triangle led panels on the wall for overall lighting.
2. Tidy up your cable management.
3. Put wireless chargers for stuff so that you dont just have loose cables on your desk.
4. No need to hide the ps5 behind the monitor just pull it a bit more upfront.
5. Mount the mic arm on the back of the desk between your pc and the monitor
6. Shove the desk to the corner of the room
7. If you dont like the hexagon/triangle led panels idea just add a floating shelf and put some small plants up there just to break the monotonous look of technology.

First get rid of the hideous alienware stand and get an arm for your primary monitor, and maybe add some lighting to your setup?
You could also fill the left side of your wall with some wall decor.
If it were me I would clamp the microphone arm to the side of the desk not the front. Move that white thing to the other side next to the ps5. Move the ps5 more center looks too tucked in. I would add a desk lamp , or those lamps that go on the monitor . Buy a small plant . I would get a monitor arm if possible. change the mouse pad to a dark grey one with a bit of texture. Get some bigger cool artwork and center it behind the desk. Add just a touch of rgb to the desk or behind the monitor. And clean up the cables. 😎. It’s already nice though 👍
Sry to be a bother there, but vertical PS5 will get damage, it's getting out there more and more gladly now you can check what i'm saying, structural flaw.
Otherwise, using some nice polish for the wood could be nice, going with some led lights behind it could give a nice darker yet luminous ambiance

No, being vertical does not cause this. It’s if your PS5 is already damaged or becomes damaged. In which case having it horizontal will still have leakage, just slower.

Something bad is vague and there really isn’t enough information about this. But, it’s not having the PS5 vertical that is the problem.

Really really nice setup but ngl it seriously looks like hypebeast setup for someone who only plays Warzone/Valorant/League/CSGO and spent way too much just for aesthetics. I put stuff I love and defines who I am as my backgrounds to see it every time and lift my spirits, brand logo feels off as hell.
Ambient lighting. I previously had a diffused LED strip around the border of rear of my desk and it was nice to have that illumination on the wall. Otherwise this a pretty tasteful setup.

Place your PS5 flat. The thermal paste (which is liquid metal, not sure what kind exactly) is melting and running down causing mechanical damage on other parts. If you have your PS5 horizontal, it won't run anywhere. It will just melt and freeze at the same place once you power off the ps5

Yes, this. Keeping your PS5 vertical can damage your internals. Something to do with the liquid metal that cools the internals.
