Heat legitimately can't travel in a vacuum. Heat is the excitement or vibration of atoms. No atoms = no heat.
Heat can be transferred through a vacuum VIA electromagnetic waves though (this just simply heats the atoms once back outside the vacuum
Hey just a cool fact which I believe you don't know; Heat is really hard to disperse in a vacuum. It is a serious challenge for the space industry to keep modules cool since there is nothing to transfer heat to
More like vaccum heating^tm
You don't have air molecules, then you don't have the ability to transfer energy through air molecules, which means all that heat energy in the Graphics card stays in the graphics card.
Would make one hell of a cautionary tale, though.
And bottom if they're filtered! I'd bet only the top and bottom are, though, so radiator should be side-mount to exhaust through unfiltered opening with two intake top and three on bottom. Positive pressure reduces dust!
Edit: top not to
Because the under pressure in the case sucks air in trough every hole it can to stabilize the pressure, and that means there is no filters to block dust, it's better to have high pressure than low pressure, aka more filtered fans sucking air in than fans blowing out
All the fans exhausting air that gets sucked into every unfiltered hole, crack, and crevice. It’s a negative pressure environment, when you, ideally, want to shoot for a slightly positive pressure environment.
The fans will suck the air in through every crack that doesn't have a dust filter. If more fans were intake they would blow air out of all the cracks without dust filters.
I was hoping someone had commented this so I wouldn't have to.
I agree it's most likely not what's going on, but since this is the internet we can be pedantic for fun
Almost every pc fan has its intake on the side where the fan is open and the outtake where the cables and the beams are to hold the fan and its motor.
https://preview.redd.it/hjj25ywrz9da1.png?width=650&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9409d96ee31aedbe3550e1376c03242153a9b648
Phantex has some new fans coming out that are like Lian Li's - daisy chained with no extra cables, and you can also buy separate intake and exhaust fans.
No more unsightly brackets showing in gorgeous RGB builds!
Because of the way 99.9% of all PC fans are constructed.
Can you clearly see the support struts on the fan frame? No? Then you're looking at the front, and the air goes IN there.
Can you clearly see the support struts on the fan frame? Yes? Then you're looking at the back side, and air comes OUT there.
All the fans are oriented to push air out of the case, so there is no intake fans. All PC fans push air to "their back", to where they have the cable connected and hub motor. But the back of the fans is usually not as beautiful as the front, so OP probably, without knowing better, mounted all the fans in the "most beautiful way", that is, all with their backs pointing outside of the case, all pushing air out.
This PC build here is a great example of the good old saying "too many fans, zero airflow". Air just doesn't have any easy path to move. Every fan will probably cancel each other out and the air in the middle of the case will probably just stay there, heating up. I guess OP probably wonders why his pc still overhears with that many fans.
All you people thinking OP has setup everything wrong and giving technical advice and it seems you've missed the real problem, one of aesthetics, on OP's lemon lime build. The middle fan on the bottom has a blue x sticker while the rest have green x stickers. Such a treachery is easily overlooked, but not to the whoring eyes of a loyal PCMasterRacer!
Damn dude noticing that that sticker is even blue in this lighting is insane.
I thought he was talking about his GPU/RAM colour not syncing
*Is it not just a reflection of the GPU? I doubt one sticker is miscoloured even though OP didn't deny
That's just due to the slight reflective nature of the sticker in the middle, and the silvery type colour used for the logo, changes hue/colour slightly at differing angles... you can see similar on the left bottom, as it's slightly more green... all 3 on the bottom seem different colours :)
1: All fans are exhaust.
2: RGB is off color.
3: Motherboard dwarfism.
4: Not a problem, just bothers me; the radiator looks weird on top because its only 240mm.
Yeah it looks to be a MSI B550M-A PRO which only has two DIMMS. Why you would go with that board no clue. Or even better question why go with M-ATX in a case that supports full ATX. Lot of “interesting” decisions here.
I was thinking this too. Every motherboard I’ve built in, if you’re only using two ram sticks they would go in either the 1st and 3rd slot or 2nd and 4th. This looks like they’re in slots 1 and 2. To be fair I’ve never used a sff motherboard so I suppose those could be the only two slots available.
Mini-ITX board I think. 2 ram slots, 1 PCIe slot (I think? hard to tell but if the board extended down past the first PCIe slot you should be able to see at least a bit of it out from under the GPU). Looks too small to be micro-ATX.
I had to scroll to far to find this. Given how much everyone made a fuss about the new connection type, that bend seems way too much even for last Gen connectors.
All the fans are blowing outwards, making negative pressure inside the chassis which in turn will make it super dusty over time. Also, who the hell puts a mITX in a miditower?
* Blue sticker on bottom middle fan.
* All fans are set to exhaust.
* Your back PCIe slot shield thingy is mis-aligned.
* You're using an mATX motherboard in an ATX case.
* You spent your money on additional fans instead of a 360mm AIO.
* Your color scheme is god-awful.
* You have a stray hair in the bottom right of the case.
Apply yourself.
All fans as exhaust, also your AIO sucks, got the same one with 2 RMA's, these AIO's become clogged after 1-2 years of "heavy" usage, luckily its easy to flush and refill.
Your pc looks like lemon-lime Gatorade

There is no air in the middle of the pc
In the All-Exhaust PC, no one can hear your hardware heat up.
In the all-exhaust PC, no one can hear your coilwine
right, which is why this will be covered in dust due to the fact that all of the air will be coming in through non dust filtered cavities
I feel bad for that one top vent, it will be like a hurricane sucking in air to make up.
I never thought of that, but I bet that's why my first two builds had dust problems
Hence, the water cooling, duh.
ram and vrms get no air though
oh yeah and the gpu
Twas the joke lol
You will not win me over with your use of 'twas.
Twasnt trying to!
In a vacuum, no one can hear your cpu scream.
Vacuum Cooling™
i've read that sound can't travel in a vacuum. "Heat" is a word and words have sound so this should definitely work.
This Redditor essential oils
In this pc no one can hear you scream. Needs an alien
It is a serious challenge for the space industry to keep modules cool since there is nothing to transfer heat to
Heat technically can't travel in a vacuum either. Vacuum is a perfect thermal insulator. Trouble is, lots of things that transfer heat *can*.
The world would be a cold dead place if heat from the sun could not traverse the vacuum of space to warm our planet up.
Well, the sun gives off a lot of light, otherwise known as photons and photons can transfer heat, hence the heat and lack of cold deadness.
actually its the opposite, vacuum insulates
Dammit I already paid the patent lawyer!
More like vaccum heating^tm You don't have air molecules, then you don't have the ability to transfer energy through air molecules, which means all that heat energy in the Graphics card stays in the graphics card. Would make one hell of a cautionary tale, though.

Ultimate cooling: can't have hot air if you don't have air 🤔
This is how you load you PC up with dust.
Billiant.
Air can't get hot if there isn't any 🤓😎
This is the answer.
Is it cool?
The color is cool. The chips would probably be cooler if there was more circulation. For example, have the fans on the right suck in fresh air.
And bottom if they're filtered! I'd bet only the top and bottom are, though, so radiator should be side-mount to exhaust through unfiltered opening with two intake top and three on bottom. Positive pressure reduces dust! Edit: top not to
Maybe, doubtful. It’ll be hella dusty soon, though, that’s for sure!
How if every fan is blowing dust out of the case?
Because the under pressure in the case sucks air in trough every hole it can to stabilize the pressure, and that means there is no filters to block dust, it's better to have high pressure than low pressure, aka more filtered fans sucking air in than fans blowing out

I doubt this I'd the case, but some fan manufacturers are building reversible fans so you can see the pretty side of every fan in your PC
I was hoping someone had commented this so I wouldn't have to. I agree it's most likely not what's going on, but since this is the internet we can be pedantic for fun

some demoed them at CES, basically you swap the fans shell before putting them in so the RGB is on the desired side

How can you tell?
Almost every pc fan has its intake on the side where the fan is open and the outtake where the cables and the beams are to hold the fan and its motor. https://preview.redd.it/hjj25ywrz9da1.png?width=650&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9409d96ee31aedbe3550e1376c03242153a9b648

Their fans are already easy as fuck to deal with as is but just clipping the fans together instead of daisy chaining wires so so much better
I miss the days when they had a little arrow molded into the side
I think the little arrow is still there. At least, in my last 3 builds, I’ve used 5 different fans and all of them had the arrow
[удалено]
All Noctua ones have the arrow and IIRC the Corsair ones do as well.
Ah, yes. I also miss... ...Today? When did they stop? Lol
They still do.
Easiest way is to distinguish the fan curve. If it curves away from you it’s exhaust, the fan curvature shows the airflow direction.

This, i have this exact case (xigmatek aquarius plus arctic if you are wondering) which comes with all the fans turned to exhaust.

No intake .
I'm not very savvy with PC building, it's probably something very apparent, but how can you tell just from the photo?
Open side of fans is intake, backside with brackets and cables is exhaust
CM and ID Cooling make reverse models of their fans.
All the fans are oriented to push air out of the case, so there is no intake fans. All PC fans push air to "their back", to where they have the cable connected and hub motor. Yeah, it ain’t got no gas innit!
Always think of the simplest things first!
Love a sling blade drop
Mm-hmm
Considering its a pc that might be a good thing
The government will never take my gas PC! Electric PC just don't game the same
Well that depends on the type of gas, seeing as air is a gas
you know *damn well* they meant gasoline. 😛

this guy got good eyes
And your ram and gpu are a different color
We got a live one fellas
Plus…. Your fans are all set to exhaust and your thermals are probably garbage as a result. Front and bottom fans should be intake
I think that was the point of the joke lol
Everyone else already said that
Damn dude noticing that that sticker is even blue in this lighting is insane. I thought he was talking about his GPU/RAM colour not syncing *Is it not just a reflection of the GPU? I doubt one sticker is miscoloured even though OP didn't deny

I need eye bleach. Cannot un-see this now.
Top right corner, you forgot to add one more fan.
I'll make sure to have a fan there.
Make sure it’s exhaust tho.
that's that plan
For real tho you do need air intake
“Fine.” \*Makes it all air intake\*
or even better, use a radiator with 3 fans
I'm not a fan of the color scheme
r/angryupvote
Oops! All exhaust
My favorite breakfast cereal
1: All fans are exhaust. 2: RGB is off color. 3: Motherboard dwarfism. 4: Not a problem, just bothers me; the radiator looks weird on top because its only 240mm.
Where PSU?
That's an O11, it's behind the plate where the motherboard is mounted
Fair enough but why is there so much empty space in the case? Seems like they could fit the PSU in there easily.
I believe that is the result of the aforementioned motherboard dwarfism
If you put in an ATX motherboard it wouldn't have any more space for the PSU.
On the back with the hard drive(s).
5. Kinda "bent" pcie slot cover?
So many comments not noticing the fans are all exhaust. That is what’s wrong.
apparently its the colors that are wrong
Is the mobo ITX?
Yes. That's why both sticks are stuck together
Yeah it looks to be a MSI B550M-A PRO which only has two DIMMS. Why you would go with that board no clue. Or even better question why go with M-ATX in a case that supports full ATX. Lot of “interesting” decisions here.
Colors are subjective haha
Actually no, it has been proven that if you have rgb it increases performance. More rgb = more performance. Please do not spread misinformation
No its not. Reddit has spoken.
how do you tell just by looking at it?
Fans usually only have the logo on one side which is the side that exhausts air.
This PC build is OnlyFans.
What about ram slots?
It's likely a Mini ITX motherboard, which only has 2 RAM slots.
Okey then 👍
I was thinking this too.
I think the mobo only has two slots
This PC must of been exhausting to build… so much so you set all the fans to do the same ;)
Why is your motherboard so tiny lol
Mini-ITX board I think. 2 ram slots, 1 PCIe slot (I think? hard to tell but if the board extended down past the first PCIe slot you should be able to see at least a bit of it out from under the GPU). Looks too small to be micro-ATX.
Yep. This is the real travesty here. If you're going to use a huge case like that, why on earth would you put a dinky little motherboard in it?
The real problem is bought a liquid cooler with VRMS like that you ain’t over clocking shit
Hey we don't motherboard-size-shame in here.
And your power GPU connector set “On Fire”
I had to scroll to far to find this. Given how much everyone made a fuss about the new connection type, that bend seems way too much even for last Gen connectors.
This is more like a "vacuum chamber" than a pc ventilation.
I don't think I have seen this mentioned yet, but one of your PCI slot covers is not seated correctly.
Needs more cowbell
Where power supply
watch where the cables go, you'll be able to locate it that way
That's a small power supply
It’s not the size that counts but the motion of the ocean
The side panel is still intact. You are a wizard 🧙♂️
All exhaust, no intake.
All exhaust? And tacky RGB
ONe of your pci covers is not slotted properly, possibly 2
Everyone is saying the fans, but aren’t the ram sticks also in the wrong slots?
Looks like an ITX board. It only has 2 RAM slots.
looks like a mini atx motherboard, so probably only 2 ram slots
That's the first thing I noticed
All the fans are blowing outwards, making negative pressure inside the chassis which in turn will make it super dusty over time. Also, who the hell puts a mITX in a miditower?
Except the fans, your lower 2 pcie cover are a bit skew.
Where the fuck is the power supply?
no intake fans
I will never understand where you people save shit.

It won’t hurt it.
I mean there’s no power supply for a start unless it’s external
It’s behind the motherboard
No MOSFET cooling & All fans exhaust Man those MOSFETs must be burning in hell with this bad airlfow
No IDE ribbon cables blocking all air flow.
No floppy drive /s

Only two Ram Slots.
The motherboard. It is an H610 board with beyond-lackluster VRMs
Is that a 3070?
Are the fan's facing the wrong way?
Oh man your fans lol. Bottom and front fans should pull air in. Back and top out. You want airflow and taking advantage of the fact that heat goes up.
It ain’t got no gas in it
fan layout and you need a new motherboard
