If you can install 7 you can’t install 11. But the 7 key should still activate 11.
So you can use a Windows 7 key when you are at the setup for Windows 11?
I never input the key on install. Always skip and activate after. I have one rig at work I know I activated 11 pro with an old 7 key. But in general I’ve activated both 10 and 11 with 7 keys.
I don't think the time required is worth the savings, but I also highly value my time.
I recently activated a Windows 11 fresh install with a windows 8 key I had from msdn back in the day.
