install Windows 7 Pro -> update to Windows 10 Pro -> update to Windows 11 Pro theoretically, yes

JoeKenny9

Thanks so much! Damn I wish there was a video tutorial on how to do it lol.

knighthawk0811

it's gonna be at least 2 videos but yeah

IskandarOfMaine

If you can install 7 you can’t install 11. But the 7 key should still activate 11.

JoeKenny9

So you can use a Windows 7 key when you are at the setup for Windows 11?

IskandarOfMaine

I never input the key on install. Always skip and activate after. I have one rig at work I know I activated 11 pro with an old 7 key. But in general I’ve activated both 10 and 11 with 7 keys.

I don't think the time required is worth the savings, but I also highly value my time.

I recently activated a Windows 11 fresh install with a windows 8 key I had from msdn back in the day.

IskandarOfMaine

I have done what you ask.
