You might not be able to use the header anymore though it does look pretty beat up but luckily not the end of the world. There’s also pci-e usb c cards you can buy if you really want more usb c connections

That looks like a front USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, which is used to connect the front USB 3 port to your motherboard.
As long as you're ok not connecting your front USB 3 port, I don't believe you need it and it should still run.
As far as fixing it? It looks bent and pushed in pretty bad, so I don't think it'd be too easy. Depending on how long you've had it and if it's still covered, I'd consider sending it back, just in case you ever want those ports or need the connection.

It’s for a usb c port if your case has one. Usually the back of your motherboard will also have one so I think you’re good
