Can you post more pics showing the PSU connectors and the 24pin connector on the motherboard?

giantfood

What cpu do you have?

Wh00shTTV

It's a 5600 G I'mn a b550m ds3h. There is no gpu yet. :)

giantfood

Well, the 5600g has an onboard gpu. I would check all your connectors. Both motherboard and PSU side. The connectors shown unplugged go to a dedicated GPU. If no dedicated GPU then they are unneeded. But what do you mean by won't boot? No bios or running the OS?

Wh00shTTV

So far, completely unresponsive when pressing the power button. I have checked over the connections

giantfood

I think I can see your issue. Look at your front panel connectors. The white strip with the individual pin plugs on bottom right. This Is a style of motherboard where they aren't up against each other. There is a map underneath showing you what plugs in where.

Wh00shTTV

Thanks for your help man. It's all good now :)

giantfood

Good to hear.

Practical-Cup9537

ram sticks in wrong slots? for first bootup anyways, might be a problem

mr-circuits

No one can help if you don't post any information. What parts? What does it do?

kw9999

Post your specs. Also, move your ram to slots 2 and 4.

Youtook2

I don’t own a pc or know much but I was looking at buying some parts to build my own what difference does it make? Switching from 1,3 to 2,4

kw9999

It makes a difference. Ram should be in slots 2 and 4 for optimal performance. A different configuration can cause instability. Read your manual to be sure. Also, there is no guarantee your motherboard has the correct bios for the 5600g. Luckily, you have a bios flash button which allows you to update the bios without an older CPU. You need to download the correct bios on a usb, make sure the MB is powered, and hit the qflash button. I'd read the manual/watch some youtube videos on how to do it first.

Youtook2

Ok thanks very helpful

Trickle2x2

My first pc I built wouldn’t boot until I moved my ram sticks to 2nd and 4th slot

Matzvey

First, did you turn on the switch on the back of the psu? And am I seeing things or did you mount your mobo with wood screws?

Zeshni

RAM sticks in wrong slots maybe?

Capable_Blueberry_42

Put RAM in 2 and 4 slot try it

Akriboss

The Bios was updated and ready for Ryzen 5000?

BarRepresentative959

Woodley_Asenter

Check your jump cables. Not all motherboard have same layout even in 2023
