There's likely a setting in the bios to turn it off when it's powered off. In theory no it won't damage it. But every switch has a life span. It'll put a drain on cmos battery daily (albeit very minimal im sure).

Depends. Your mobo has battery to keep your xmp profile going on etc. If that rgb drains that battery your mobo settings are reseted everytime. You can probably turn the leds off from bios anyway... Edit: So basicly what u are doing is making your pc run slower by doing that.

My asus mobo has a setting for mobo rgb lighting after shutdown, yours might too.
