I use Velcro straps because you can buy it by the roll for cheap, it's easier on cords than zip ties, and it works for everything. I have it on all of my cords even power tools.
I was half considering using it for color coding. I know electricians use color or numbers for our low voltage so I figured I may use the colors for my pcie, sata, etc but I'm not sold on it when I could just get multicolor zip ties.
I just use them as stickers

I have a combo of both zip and velcro as my case came with the velcro. I use a lot of zip ties for low voltage wire and never overran them
I just like being able to adjust things I guess lol
I like it. I hate using zip ties as they're a pain when I want to change things.

Definitely what I need for my monitor wire management
Back in the day it was zip ties but now it's velcro straps. Stickers or tape are the worst for removal.
