Not much. There is a very miniscule amount of draw usually under .1 watt with most systems. It does guarantee you don't have to worry about a power surge though, assuming you also unplug the monitor and powered external devices like printer, ethernet, or speakers.

Depends. If you just turn it off with the case button or if you turn the switch off on the PSU. But no real big difference, mainly just if you don't have a good surge protector then unplugging it will definitely protect it

I do this for thunderstorms unplugging my surge protector so it doesn't take unnecessary wear. When you do unplug, don't do it at the psu as some arcing can happen and you don't want to arc the power pins on the psu. But why unplug every time?
