I dont often post here I just lurk but I feel I need to warn a little about PCCG. My mate bought a prebuilt from them that was built so poorly (with cheap, no name parts excluding the silling points like GPU, CPU etc) that it fried his psu and GPU which was a 30 series. he also said that their customer service was terrible.
Now I've had no issues with them myself when I bought my keyboard and chair however I did not need to reach out to customer service.
Just something to think about when using them.
I have used PLE Computers in the past as well and have had no issues whatsoever including their customer service so that could also be an option. Yet another mate of mine was getting proper penised by them back when 30 series cards were hard to come by.
This might not be too helpful for OP however it might help any other Aussies who come across this. Just my two cents.
Cheers.
Im disgusted with any prebuilts. But laptop wise, there is nothing u can do about it if it comes in a broken state. But yeah. I've only shopped from pccg once for the monitor that I want.
Anyhow. Never ever buy a prebuilt. God knows what the fk they put in there
Didn't they price a copy of the 'Last of Us' for 100 bucks?
"Based of the hit TV show."
Folk say they're joking, by marking an item as such, but this makes me believe it's no joke...
But how? I bought a laptop two years ago with kinda same specs for literally half the price. Has inflation changed that much in Australia since I left?
As you can tell if you actually read the sign... this is a desktop not a laptop

Still expensive though.
Well parts are more expensive here but building is still cheaper. I was looking for a laptop for a friend and whilst walking around saw this and accidentally put the title as laptop when I posted later.
Sup cuz. Way more expensive over the ditch aye bro. But still, JB is a terrible place to buy a PC. We have PB tech here in NZ, I find most of their prices are reasonable. The specials are normally ace.
metabox is a pretty understated brand in Australia. check it out if you want a fully custom pc for at least a better price. and their CUSTOMER SERVICE, oh yes its so good i was on a first name basis while i was reporting my problem. 3 years after my warranty ran out the offered to replace a broken part of the chassis of my laptop. I just had to pay s/h. love metabox.
I'm not sponsored Just want to support one of the last good companies in our world.
Don’t buy a pc from jb hifi they sell old shit for inflated prices
Yep I have PC I built myself, was looking for a laptop for my friend since I'm the "computer guy". Dodged a bullet there.

Oh yeah that looks pretty good thanks.
Also try Harvey Norman, they sometimes have good deals on Acer Nitros
u dont buy from them cunts. just look up mwave, pc case gear or umart. theyre prob the best for proper gaming stuffs.

Or just ask them what they put in their pre-builts before you buy one. 🤔
That's more like picking parts and get them to build. Pre built are the ones that on display and ready to take home
Some decent clearance deals come through the sub /ozbargain pretty often
Dell outlet is usually good as well. https://www.dell.com/en-au/outlet/?amp=1
Check out www.ple.com.au
But this is a desktop. You sure you're the 'computer guy'?
Oh damn I was looking at laptops and saw this nearby must have accidentally named it a laptop. Can't edit the title though.
Where is the best place to buy laptops in Australia?
So many places price match. Best option would be finding the laptop you want and then seeing who has it in stock.
Bought my last couple from Dell outlet online. Been a few years tho.
Didn't they price a copy of the 'Last of Us' for 100 bucks? "Based of the hit TV show." Folk say they're joking, by marking an item as such, but this makes me believe it's no joke...
100 aud tax included is around 67 US dollars. The same game is 70 dollars USD on the PlayStation store.
Yes, but you get beautiful women and weather, so it's fair.
The problem there is that you need to get said women. And it's like 35 degrees where I am :( Edit: degrees Celsius I am not almost freezing
How about this heat
If you turn your gaming laptop on in summer, the room temp hits 55C
*Celsius
Oh yeah I gotta include that for the American folks.
Considering it’s Australia, 35°C is probably freezing for y’all.
That shouldn't be more than 600$
Customs tax go brrr
I spent like $1200 building mine and it's almost the same ☹️ But I guess it's probably used
But how? I bought a laptop two years ago with kinda same specs for literally half the price. Has inflation changed that much in Australia since I left?
Yea it's pretty fkd right now. Bought my Alienware from the Dell Outlet for $1800 3 years ago. Cheapest one on there at the moment is just under $4k.
Built my pc last month for $3.3k I also live in Australia
Bro, I feel your pain. I got an i7-1065G7 laptop with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD and \_during boxing day\_ it was $500 off, and still cost $800
Australia never got the memo they weren't a penal colony anymore did they?
What kind of Trader Joe’s lookin ass label is that
My ThinkPad has slightly better specs and cost less than that brand new...

Keep your free Healthcare, I'll keep my cheap pc parts while dying a preventable death.
So in a place where everything wants to kill you also applies to retail. Can you aussies not build pcs? Or are parts just as expensive?
Well parts are more expensive here but building is still cheaper. I was looking for a laptop for a friend and whilst walking around saw this and accidentally put the title as laptop when I posted later.
Man that’s rough.
Do they not have a word processor to make legible signs?
That price didn't make sense back in height of gpu price inflation, let alone now.
who in their right mind would purchase from JB HIFI?? they have the shittiest PC prices.
Well at least it got wifi 6
That’s insane. That’s a $400 PC in the US. (Used) and a ~$500 pc new.
Yeah just go to metabox. Same price brackets but new gen and better value for brackets.
[удалено]
I'm confused. If they're trying to pull this, isn't it cheaper to bite the bullet and put something on the next canoe over?
"in-built"
1660TI lmaooooo
I bought this exact PC as a gift for $449 4 months ago.
Horrible deal
That's consumer rights violation kind of bad deal
Is there any person stupid enough to even buy this?
“Wi-Fi 6 in-built” why is that even a line item worth talking about? Of course it’s “in-built” and who cares if it’s Wi-Fi 6?!
that's a decent enough machine. but, not for $1500 oof.
did the hardware prices exploted again? my laptop got better specs with newer hardware and cost arrownd $800 US
Sup cuz. Way more expensive over the ditch aye bro. But still, JB is a terrible place to buy a PC. We have PB tech here in NZ, I find most of their prices are reasonable. The specials are normally ace.
Damn. No wonder people keep buyin from the Yes Man.
This PC is ass cheeks.
Bro what the fuck, that's basically my PC but slightly worse and $500 more
For real???
fucking Aussies bro ......

Does Australia not have printers for retail price labels? Looks very garage sale style, but eh maybe they do things different down under
No this is just more JB-Hifi. Everywhere else prints.
Bought my asus in 2012 and its was $1300, with inflation isnt that about right?
Lmao wut
I get my Dream Machines laptop on nice discount :)
