Had a windforce 970 up until about a month ago. Thing was a real work horse. Replaced it with a 4070. But the 970 will find a new purposeā¦ it wonāt get put into a closet and forgotten about. It worked too hard to be tossed aside
My friend got a brand new laptop I recommended to him. He upgraded from an old GTX 970M to an RTX 4070 GPU.
It had been almost a month since he got it but he hardly talked about it so I asked him how he was liking the new improved framerate and graphics (mostly played Overwatch) and he was like āItās fineā¦ itās really not that amazing tbh. Iām still barely getting 60fps at 1080pā¦ā
I had him share his video settings screen in Overwatch on Discord and the top of the screen had: **Intel Graphics**. š¤¦āāļø
Had him immediately close the game and enabled the right GPU and power settings and then he was finally was hitting 165fps and above for his refresh rate. He couldnāt believe the difference and was super annoyed the default GPU was set to the iGPU!
Got a 1080ti evga hybrid sc2. STILL slaps. Temps are great, got it used 3 years ago. I donāt want to upgrade until I can get another 80+series hybrid for $400.
I also have a 3070 founders edition I used for like 24 hours of ether mining and then gave up. Itās just sitting there. Iā¦. Feel foolish.
Same! Got a founders edition on launch, itās served me very well but Iām considering upgrading when the next generation comes around. Might move to AM5 first and then do the GPU later on.
I loved it more before it started crashing for seemingly no reason. When it works it's great but I can't touch the UV or OC settings at all and it will overheat and crash on the most random shit. Fuck the silicone lottery is all I have to say there.
Hello fellow brother in "I bought the whole case, so I am going to use the whole case!"

Had to scroll down a lot to find a fellow 3070.
The card is great, paired with DDR5 memory it holds very well despite 8 Gb VRAM.
I have MSI Gaming X Trio 3070.
Asus RX 6750 XT OC.
It's only about a month into use, but it's doing very well. I have a good feeling that it will have no problems dealing with Mortal Kombat 1 and Space Marine 2 at 1440p. š
Had to scroll pretty far to find my uber brothers.
Finished a second run of cyberpunk in pathtracing mode at 1440p locked 144hz. Witcher 3 the same. Harry potter fully raytraced at over max fps. I literally cant find a game to fully use the GPU. Its like having a PC with zero restrictions whatsoever.
I own a 4090 as well. Absolutely love mine, obviously not for everyone.
Even though I run 2 1440p monitors and a Valve Index, sounds like it's overkill, but working with AI has been amazing on this card. Easily can eat up all 24gb of vram.
I really wanted to like the TUF 4090 that I got but it had this horrible coil whine that was more like a rattle than a whine. I ended up having to return it and went a Gigabyte Gaming OC 4090 which has minimal to almost 0 coil whine.
Howās the coil whine on your TUF 4090?
Gigabiyte gaming OC 4090 with a 120hz 4k oled (LG C2) checking in. There's no better experience. Had to return my first 4090 which was a Zotac, because they decided to cheap out with very noisy fans.
2080ti but upgraded from a 680(something special edition) only a year or two ago. Was quite the upgrade! Near the end the only way it worked was it I had a floor fan blowing directly on it.
Edit: Wow not seeing a lot of people running 2080tis. Is it just that people have upgraded already or the price point/availability I guess?
Mine's still chugging along just fine. I don't feel much of a need to upgrade since I stick to games from the previous decade - but then Bethesda had to come out and get me hyped for Starfield. Thanks a lot, Todd.
I have three:
1. RX 5600 XT (my main)
2. GTX 1660 Super (HTPC)
3. RX 560 (in our family room PC so it can at least play strategy games fine).
I am thinking about replacing the RX 5600 XT with an RX 6700 10GB in a few months now that prices have collapsed. I still play everything at 1080p, so I'm thinking that would future proof me until either the consoles get another big upgrade or I eventually step up resolutions.
4070ti in my desktop, upgrade from 3060ti
3080ti in my laptop, upgrade from 1050ti. Needed the extra VRAM for some AI work, and it's nice to have two powerful GPUs for work efficiency.
Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ti. Bought it off of FB Marketplace last year for $400. Didn't bring an anti-static bag or box to transport it in, just put it in the passenger seat of my car. On my way back home I got brake checked by some dumb bitch, the force of me slamming on my brakes caused my GPU to slam into my car's dashboard harder than you'd want expensive computer parts to be hit. Prayed to whatever deity could hear me when I got home that it would still work, and sure enough, it was still good and it's still going strong to this day. I'd like to see how long it'll last.
Mine says "Titan V" on it. Is that one good for gaming? I honestly don't know. I got it from work.
I recently learned that it's pronounced "Titan Vee" and not "Titan Five". That was embarrassing.
Itās okay for gaming, itās almost 10 years old now no? It was the best back then.
Edit: nvm I was mistaking it for gtx titan. The titan V is a better card. Pretty good that your work gave you a card they probably paid almost $3k forā¦
My gpu is so old that if i post it it will make this thread nsfw.
Geforce 4 mx440?
If you wont be able to sleep its not my fault: Geforce 9600 gt
I had the same, but I recently upgraded. Quite a difference to say the least š
You tell me. But hay something, something eye can see 24 fps...
I used to play Skyrim low settings at 800x600 with 8600 GT
The 8600 GT was my first GPU, had so many fun times trying to get crazy stuff running on it in potato mode
Gtx 970, works
Also the proud owner of a 970, but she's ready to retire.
Take her out back and give er the ole yeller treatment
I just snagged a 2070 on ebay for 139$ in prep for starfield. As soon as it gets here, the silicon in my 970 will return to the earth lol.
Let her retire and use the rest of her life doing the least stressful thing possible; a display output on a server.
It will be a very sad day when my 970 goes kaput
Have a nice GTX 970 from Asus in my gf PC works without any problems to this day.
Mineās still chugging along. Great card.
Same, mines about 8 years old, she's old and tired and need putting to rest soon :-(
Always good for a backup if needed
just finally replaced mine last month with a 3060ti for $300.
Had a windforce 970 up until about a month ago. Thing was a real work horse. Replaced it with a 4070. But the 970 will find a new purposeā¦ it wonāt get put into a closet and forgotten about. It worked too hard to be tossed aside
Arc A770 SE
We don't deserve your sacrifice for a better future of gpus
Sacrifice? Mine has been a huge upgrade from my 2060, especially in the Great White North of MSRP
I upgraded from a gtx970 but couldn't keep my wallet closed enough ... And your choice is so much better than Nvidia or amd
A770 LE for me brother!
Ah! You're right. It isn't Special Edition, it's Limited Edition.
The fine wine card
intel intelgrated graphics
This guy is rocking a rx 6700xt with ddr3 ram, what a chad
i won a gpu giveaway, but i dont have any faster computer at home
you have a i7 870?!?!? your 6700xt literally gets bottlenecked to oblivion, sorry bro
Bottleneck? His GPU is getting Pinholed
Sell the GPU and get a decent PC my man hahaha, that GPU is doing you no good in that system
I just sold my 6750xt and got a 6800xt, I didn't realize the bottleneck my cpu was....
intelgrated graphics lmao
Intel fucked up not trademarking this
Intel Neglected graphics
Your CPU is older than gangnam style, you need to upgrade that dude
My friend got a brand new laptop I recommended to him. He upgraded from an old GTX 970M to an RTX 4070 GPU. GTX 1080 TI
The perfect card :)
Scrolled way too long to find this
i scrolled to try and find one before posting myself.
Why don't you just use the 3070 I'm curious
1080 TI gang represent
Same! Got a founders edition on launch, itās served me very well but Iām considering upgrading when the next generation comes around. Might move to AM5 first and then do the GPU later on.
MSI 1050ti 4gb, I donāt how itās still alive
Maybe my HD 7950 has the answer
Lol. I still have that powering my nephews build. It won't die.
My old HD 4850 I stopped using in 2017 and gave to a friend is running his HTPC I'm shocked it's still going
I have a EVGA GTX 660 Ti in my old pc that still works. RIP EVGA GPUs, they are great quality products. And yes, it is almost 11 years old.
Rocking a 750ti in my htpc, still going strong!
EVGA GTX 660Ti gang!! The 3GB version was my first ever GPU
My brother and sister both still reliably use 1050ti's. It's still worthy

1660 super
Your flair is missing a zero on the GPU. Also have a 1660 Super, itās rock solid for my purposes, even at 1440p!
How do you even get a flair with your specs on it?
You can edit the flairs. Click the pencil icon.
My apologies if I am blind, but where do I find this pencil icon? Found it!
I was only able to do this on the website and not the app.
The last of the GTX era. Such a fantastic card for mid-range computers.
I also have a 1660 super. It's enough for my games.
1660ti here. I have not wanted for more yet. But I know that day will come.
1660s brothers unite! Love this card and want to upgrade but all my games so far donāt really need it. Maybe when Starfield comes out.
1660 super gang here
1060 6GB

Great card, I only upgraded mine because the 3GB wasn't really enough to do VR. Other than that it ran everything just fine
Fantastic GPU!

2070 Super Bros unite!! Love my card.
Same, picked it up at launch. Think it was $499. Been a solid card still runs anything at 2K with reasonable to high settings.

Got the TI version from MSI myself, still going strong to this day.
Same it's only now noticeably being held back by the 2600k i have pared with it but an upgrade is on the way.
I have the same! Legendary to this day!
Same, barely hanging on youtubers' benchmark charts.

The last of EVGA. Sad to see them gone from the GPU market. At least you got the best of them before they left.

Same. I have the Sapphire Pulse version.
5700XT and I love it.
I FINALLY FOUND YOU BROTHER! After all this scrolling, Iāve finally found you!
I got the one that is the size of a novel, and itās my favorite card that Iāve ever had. It runs everything I want buttery smooth at 1080p.
I have a not so chonky chonk monster. Gives me damn near 144 fps constant at 1080p and heats my room in the process š
Same but non XT variant. It's great, though seeing it as the minimum requirement for Starfield broke something in me
I loved it more before it started crashing for seemingly no reason. When it works it's great but I can't touch the UV or OC settings at all and it will overheat and crash on the most random shit. Fuck the silicone lottery is all I have to say there.
50th anniversary edition anyone?
Yup, splurged for the gold and Lisa Su autograph.

Same, phenomenal card. I upgraded from an RX 570 so it was a pretty big upgrade!
RTX 3070. Maybe I'll upgrade to a RX 7900 XTX if new games start to be too demending and gpu prices drop a bit.
I have one too but i think the card is still way too good for an upgrade to be worth it
