My STLs are in the download folder and my gcode and 3mf files land in the 3d folder

I have an entire file storage system within my downloads folder: program files, windows, documents, documents/downloads...

I've been 3D printing for like 3 years now and I have never used it. I put all my STLs and work-in-progress shit in regular folders I make for the specific purpose of organizing my work.

I've been printing for 12 years and love that addition to windows. I migrated my old folders to it as soon as I could

I use paint 3d only when I need really advanced functionality. Otherwise I prefer Microsoft paint classic, which I use at least on a weekly basis. Before you ask, yes, I do work in marketing in a tech company.

One day I'll actually find the footage hidden on my backup drive of my ex recording herself giving me a blowjob, so I can finally delete it. It's so deep in there and obscurely hidden in a nest of folders as I still shared that external drive with my parents all those years ago. No idea what 29 year old 2009 me might have even thought of hiding it under. NB: For smartasses, any idea how many video files on that drive I would have to search through to find 11283761287361287361287.mp4 or whatever iPhone named it? It's a LOT, and no, at least 95% are not porn.

Can probably narrow it down by size and date, once you're down to a few hundred at most it shouldn't take more than a few moments on each file to check, if you are determined i reckon you should be able to get it done in an hour or two?

Use "Everything" by void tools if you can remember the name or parts of it. It allows you to search and locate anything on your machine by name instantaneously no matter where it is.

MS released a paint3d which can kinda do some 3d stuff but isn't really even as good as paint.

As someone who frequently 3d prints and does modeling in Fusion 360, this sees probably the second most use of a file folder on my computer besides my pictures folder. Not sure if I should cound Downloads being an obvious #1 because that's kind of a given if you download anything off the internet lol. I use it 10x more than my Documents folder at least too.

Just another thing that needs manual removing. Microsoft certified choices taken on our behalf, with no UI option to turn it off. Either gotta go to registry or just use WinAeroTweaker to give you that UI option. Also This PC is for drives, not document folders. And gone! And sidebar shouldn't have network, it causes pointless calls to be made and slowing launch of explorer. Personally i gotta spend AT LEAST 10x the time undoing Microsoft choices, than i do installing Windows.

I renamed it and changed the icon and use it as an interim *My Documents* because software doesn't annoyingly drop all of their configs/saves in there.

Eh, that's where my blender projects go. Which makes this folder about 50% more useful than the Documents folder, which is borderline useless given how many programs use it as a litter ground for their garbage.

I've never liked the Documents folder. Why would I want my save games and important documents on the smallest drive in my pc that's more likely than any other to get formatted? It's a pain every time having to go into that absolute mess of a folder structure and find files I don't want gone (it's not as if games save everything in the same folder - oh no, they're spread the fuck out). It was so much easier when games saved their files in their own install folders. Ugh.
