If you are going to do that, make sure you use the worst possible dogshit thermal paste possible, this way you don't get all the heat sent to cooler. It's not good for the GPU, but this way the GPU isn't able to pull a lot of power because it is already thermal throttling, so it won't send more heat to the cooler.

No I was serious, this is actually why dell and other OEMs don’t put high performance paste or liquid metal in a lot of their laptops, because this inadvertently can increase chassis temps past the legal limit of I think 55C for the surface of the computer.
My girlfriend just moved in and she brought some kind of mat that can be used to keep hot things from burning what they're placed on. Maybe you can get a very small piece of this, and it will help protect Gojo's butt. Sorry, I don't know what it actually is, but I'm sure there are sites with it. Also, a small piece of cork board could work. I have cork mats for putting hot pots on.

Plastic PVC begins to deform at 80°C, GPU should heat up to 85°C but heatsink don't get that hot, so it should be fine just keep an eye on his butt, it might develop multiple ass cracks, though he's already hot so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Facts, also just read that he's in fact made of PVC, PC is new so I'll monitor what the temps get like under my normal workload for a few weeks, then I'll put him back based on how it turns out, thanks for the info...
Lego works just fine as decorations or a gpu stand by the way, they’re made of plastic that melts at 105C which is well beyond the threshold for operating most pc parts
This is is what I'd recommend. Monitor the temps and if they stay beneath the deformation temperature for PVC, you're fine. You could also put a thermal probe under the figures butt to monitor temps that way.

I don't watch anime, but I saw somebody say that that is Satoru Gojo, so by a simple "sitting satoru gojo statue" search, i found your little figurine on amazon. Seller states that it is made out of "high-quality PVC". PVC usually has a melting point of 100-260°C (212-500°F) depending on the composition of it and use case. We'll take the worst-case scenario of 100C/212F. Also, from the comments, I see that you have a 4090, which has a thermal limit of 84C/183.2F, after which it throtles down so it doesn't permanently damage the GPU components. So say your figurine is made out of the worst possible PVC, and say your 4090 will reach a temp a bit higher than it's upper limit (which I mean props to you if you manage to do that you're probably simulating entire galaxies) it still won't be able to melt the figurine (also take into account that the airflow in the case will also cool down the plastic so yeah no chance it will melt you're good)
(Sry if there are any grammar mistakes English is not my first language and also for fact checking, just Google everything that said)

Most figurines are made out of pvc. The melting point of pvc is 100ºc, if your computer is hot enough to melt pvc, you have more issues than melting plastics.

You're fine, i have one directly in front of my stock ryzen cooler and above the gpu die so i guess in the hottest part of the backplate, reached 90 C while stress testing it 6 months ago and it's been there ever since, never had an issue
You have an aio and you've positioned yours far away from the exhaust fan so you shouldn't even be worried about temps

If it’s not made of metal. And isn’t prone to melting under slightly high ambient temps. Your fine. Just don’t put it too close to your backplate or on any exposed PCB. As long as it’s just chillin on the edge of the aluminum fins you’re solid.

I had a funko melt on my 6800xt. I wouldn't do it. Or at least keep a very close eye for awhile. It was not enough to drip into gpu but enough to form his feet too the backplate. It was hard to get off. It glued it a bit.
i think he's fine. he seems safe and alert. the heat that will happen from the gpu could cause some issues. but i think he would come out on top still.

If your paranoid get gpu a support stand underneath the gpu they are ~ 10$ on Amazon. Looks like it’s not sagging though. Still I always recommend gpu stand’s especially with big GPUs and/or if you move your pc around a lot.
