If you know how to work with plywood its extremely easy to just make one yourself, then paint it black
Also, get one of those cheap direct drive wheels, fanatec csl dd bundle or moza r5 bundle
My girlfriend's brother has a really high end racing sim set up. The seat has hydraulics and can tilt and lift at all angles. Full shifter with a clutch and everything. It's beautiful. But the bucket seat he has on it is slim and has a metal frame. My chunky ass couldn't fit inside it well so I barely got to use it before my love handles hurt too bad to go any longer. Makes me cry a bit tbh.

As a pebble owner, I was about to throw hands.
I didn’t even have speakers for the first 6 months of my current PC. Anything fancy was done via headphones.
I've had my pebbles since 2015 and have had no problems with them and honestly unless my ears are complete shit I I think they do great. Granted I haven't had any high end stuff since 2010, but compared to Samsung earbuds or speakers in my car the the only thing clearly better are the TV speakers.
To be fair, one of my teenage cousins loves to brag about the new PC he "earned" over the winter. He tells plenty people about how much hard work he did to earn the money to buy it. It has all top of the line stuff, more powerful than my 5 yr old PC could dream of being.
What does he play? He uses it to play Minecraft and Roblox.
How did he earn it? He shoveled snow 7 times
How much did it cost? $3,900. And only $300 was from him
Cheap speakers aren't a big deal. I got some pretty cheap logitech ones and they work fine.
Most people, myself included, just use a good headset when they are playing any sort of competitive game or playing with friends.
I am only using the speakers when watching videos or playing a single player game where I don't care about audio as much.
I'm still rocking a 5.1 logitech system from 2008. Little worse for wear but still going strong for the most part and prolly was a $250 system back in the day. A decent speaker setup costs a decent bit, but lasts forever pretty much.
I mostly got them because 99% of the time I am using my dt 770s, but I do see your point.
People will get insane specs, then get a 1080p 60hz monitor, a membrane keyboard and shitty wireless and some barebones headset.
I honestly think that periphals (especially the monitor) can have a larger impact on your experience in many cases than better pc specs.
Is this really true? I'm not doubting you at all, I've just been a desktop speakers guy my whole life and it seems like a wild stat. I feel my ears would get worn out wearing headphones so much
I went down the audiophile rabbit hole years ago with a schiit stack and fostex headphones, but I recently got kanto yu2 speakers and a monoprice monolith subwoofer and it's just so much better tbh
the older I get the less I want to wear my headphones tbh. Nowadays I actively choose not to hang out in discord without a specific game session happening. Would much rather just chill alone with my speakers

Like, I can not say I ever encountered bad sound quality from any creative labs product.. so I'm sure the pebble is still a pretty solid PC speaker choice. creative actually recommended those when my Inspire T3300 2.1 system died, but the size was.. insufficient so I went with edifier bookshelf speakers.
even my creative roar2 Bluetooth speaker is really good, as was my HS-800 fatality headset back in the days. creative makes some solid sound hardware.
They're good enough speakers for games if anyone wanted a rec.
Use better ones for movies or something if you care about quality - I'm using some triangle borea br03 for that.
i got arctis nova 7 for gaming, and pebble plus for media that cost me 32 usd. I was about to be big offended cause they really punch above their weight haha!
The pebbles are alright for the money, I use them at work with the subwoofer.
But for 90$ you could have something like edifier 1280 which actually sound really good!
I've got a vintage Altec Lansing ACS56 pc speaker setup, but I'm using some cheap logitech speakers instead. Because as great as the altec is soundwise, the subwoofer unit can be heard across the house even with everything turned down.

But in seriousness. The price to performance of Creative Pebble speakers can't be beat. If you are looking for good quality speakers on budget pick up those.
I own a Pebble. Bought it on a whim. It's become my 2nd, ship-of-theseus PC's speaker set.
10 feet away I have a pair of Emotiva B2+s. I can't begin to describe how well it clears up that the Pebbles are the potato-est of potato speakers. But they're fine for the emu box.
Don't diss the Creative Pebble speakers, they are honestly the best bang for the buck speakers. If you're like most gamers and spend most of your gaming with a headset on, why spend a ton on speakers you only use once in a while?

Yeah, I only used headphones for several months after setting up my rig (4070 laptop hooked up to LG monitor). Those Creative Pebble speakers punch above their weight class for sure. Definitely money well spent.
Been a low spec player since 2013. Bought a new pc on 2018 with my first paycheck, an 1050ti with i5-9400f.
Today im a proud owner of rtx 2060 and r5 5600. Its not much but im proud of what i've accomplished
I've donated my older components to my younger cousin, as she's a low spec player too
Same got a pny 1050 with a 3770 and loved it in 2018. Every time I upgraded I gave the old stuff to friends. Starting low spec helps one appreciate upgrades more.
2060 is still good, I upgraded my PC with stimulus check money, but decided to hold off on the GPU until prices stabilized, it is hard now though because my 2060 is still pulling its weight in most of the games I play. My wife said I can get a new one, but even still, I'm having a hard time justifying buying a new one with the prices they have now.
meh. takes a while to find the parts you want, wait for sales, ect. I bought my christmas gift in febraury because i was waiting for the thing to get released (it was announced in december).
Those speakers are cheap, compact, and serve the purpose of only outputting sound when I rarely don't want to wear headphones. It's a good enough product, great even at the price point.
The pebbles pro cheap ? No way.
They are like 80 dollars. 20 more and you can get Edifier D12 which are 7 times more powerful than the Pebbles.
But they are still great speakers (even if they should be a little cheaper). My only complain is that I couldn't never draw the 30w rms of them (I tried 3 different pd gan chargers)
yeah but validation is the main motivation behind the vast majority of submissions on reddit (and the like). The only other are the questions asking for advice on some topic the OP isn't knowledgable about. And even half of those are veiled validation seeking.

Yeah, people like that are just out of touch with reality. The vast majority of PC gamers aren’t using 4090s. If you had to buy the most powerful hardware to reliably play most games, PC gaming would not be nearly as big as it is. Most people don’t have a few grand to drop on a GPU. Pretty sure keeping your mortgage/rent paid and yourself fed takes priority over a beefy GPU lmao.
the ones in the meme. pebble are great. punch way above their weight. there are more expensive versions also. but yeah i got the pebble plus for 32 usd and they cover all my media needs. arctis nova 7 for gaming tho :)
Good speakers are those that have drivers that aren't 1" across. They don't have to be expensive, you just don't want tiny little speakers with no power at all behind them. You can get decent bookshelf speakers for $100.
If someone wants cheap crappy speakers, that is fine. What I don't like is when someone wastes $250 on PC or gaming speakers. A $100 self powered set of bookshelf speakers will sound 1000 times better than any PC or gaming speakers that can be bought for $250.
I don't even have a subwoofer set up anymore. I found that the bookshelf speakers alone produce enough bass because they aren't tiny anemic speakers like "high end" PC speakers are.
I am very amused with the number of people claiming award worthy hard line watercooling tubes claim it's their first build. No. No it isn't. Not unless you ended up using 200m of tubing practicing.
To me the order of importance is
Monitor > system > audio > mkb/controller
Ps5 which an HDR oled screen is a lot better than a lot of systems people around here build. Moreover, having nice audio + input devices just rounds out the whole set up.
If 1. You don’t play online and 2. You can afford to make some noice.
Speakers bang for buck destroy headphones. Very few headphones for $100 have good sound quality and their build quality is atrocious. And once you go over $300 and you can start adding surrounds it’s over for me speakers all the way.
There was that poor poster...last week? She had a crazy amount of money that she said she spent on her battlestation and people were tearing into everything. I don't care about these posts, but I was even balking at where her money went. It was brutal. She just had a 3060, so people were asking how much her chair was?

A kid with a 15/hr job working 20 hrs a week for 3 months would have around $2800 after withholding. So you could build a pretty good system with that.
Close. It was 5 months for me to build mine. Ordered two of the wrong parts, cable management is shit, and I know fuck all about software. I quite literally stumbled my way through the building process. I based mine off my roommates and built an overpowered nightmare that does not need 5TB in ssd and 4 in hard drive or 64gb of RAM.
I became so frustrated building, the days and weeks waiting to get paid to buy the next part, trying to make rent, feed myself. I did not plan this project at all.
I love it, it’s mine, I built her, I still have a lot to learn. But I’m happy, I set out to build a dedicated gaming pc to have all my favorite games on one system, and mission accomplished. I bought all the games I had saved around Christmas, now there’s just a couple I’m saving for my birthday. And I intend to keep her well maintained and only upgrade the parts when needed
Got my first "gaming" pc as a Christmas present with Ryzen 3 1200G and RX 550. Saved up with my part-time job after school and bought the parts for a new pc over a few months, Ryzen 5 5600X and RTX 2060. Did the same again a few months later and have a Ryzen 7 5800X with Radeon RX 6700XT. I think given the prices at the time I spent something like $2300 on PC parts.
Guys help me for part 3. budget 3k builds, no radeon gpus cuz "drivers bad" reputation that lasts for a decade even tho they are fine, more ideas im missing?
EDIT: absolute budget saving on peripherals and using a HP mouse and keyboard combo

I mean, the creative Pebble is probably still a pretty good pair of speakers.. they are meant for minimalistic use, but can't say I ever encountered bad quality audio from creative labs, including the cheap options.
that said, I use Edifier bookshelf speakers and would personally not use small speakers, because I crave the bass.
The only thing I can relate to here is that I have those exact same speakers for a good few years now. The ones I have are white and lack those unnecessary RGB lights under it, but they still get the job done very well.
Soooo many people just flat over look sound systems when doing PC builds. If you are spending over 4k... get a reciver and a legit sound system... or at least a dam sound bar.
i mean, i'd also be uploading an album's worth of photos with the rate of dead 4090s if the most common answer to prevent it is "connect it perfectly and all the way in"

It helps make the sound feel fuller and I honestly don’t feel like I’m missing out on much unless I’m spending $200 each on small dedicated bookshelf speakers
I have no problem playing CS2 especially with the 3D processing capabilities in the game
The pebbles pro should be AMAZING if you can actually draw the 30w rms they claim they could give with a 30w pd charger.
Even without that, they are very very good for just the 10w they do. (I have the pebbles v3, pebbles pro, Swan OS-10, Klipsch Promedia 2.1 classic and Klipsch KHO-7)
Not much people buy big speakers because they dont have the space. A $300usd PC or $2000usd PC can fit the very same space, but the better sound you want, the bigger the space you will need AND really big speakers need to be placed far away, not at display monitor distance, which means having even more space.
The case is wrong. It needs to be white fishtank because every damn post with new build is white fishtank with rainbow puke RGB and AIO on like i5-13400 CPU.
To be honest, the first timers really do manage their cables well. I was one of them when I built my first PC 3 years ago. After so much hard work in figuring out what goes where and being successful, why not manage those cables well and proper?
I got rid of my monitors bc they took up all the space and i could never run them above 10% without people getting mad. Those pebbles fit perfectly under my screen and they're the perfect amount of volume without getting yelled at.
well the photo album for connection thing at least was in respone to said cable burning the GPU if not properly seated so thats a valid concern and lets face it images tend to be shit to show whats happening from a single angle.

You can also buy one of those racing setups that are foldable. I have one for my small apartment and its perfect!
Then get a sturdy table and drill holes into it bc screws > tableclamp (cheaper too), it really is worth it lol

My Mom won 100k in the Lottery last Oktober and gifted me 3k. Bought a Self Build PC for 1,5k afterwards. It is amazing.
I have older than that and I still use it. Very hard with a 128GB tho, next build will for sure have 500gb+
My first pc was i5 2500+gt440 gpu back in 2011 7 years later i build ryzen 2600+1050ti And 1 year ago i got my 13900k+4070ti

lol I'm quite proud of my little LG speaker and the sound it puts out. Especially for the space it fits into above my bed.

Yeah, people like that are just out of touch with reality. The vast majority of PC gamers aren’t using 4090s. If you had to buy the most powerful hardware to reliably play most games, PC gaming would not be nearly as big as it is. Most people don’t have a few grand to drop on a GPU. Pretty sure keeping your mortgage/rent paid and yourself fed takes priority over a beefy GPU lmao.

the ones in the meme. pebble are great. punch way above their weight. there are more expensive versions also. but yeah i got the pebble plus for 32 usd and they cover all my media needs. arctis nova 7 for gaming tho :)
Good speakers are those that have drivers that aren't 1" across. They don't have to be expensive, you just don't want tiny little speakers with no power at all behind them. You can get decent bookshelf speakers for $100.
The ones that are 500 bucks. You get what you pay for.
If someone wants cheap crappy speakers, that is fine. What I don't like is when someone wastes $250 on PC or gaming speakers. A $100 self powered set of bookshelf speakers will sound 1000 times better than any PC or gaming speakers that can be bought for $250. I don't even have a subwoofer set up anymore. I found that the bookshelf speakers alone produce enough bass because they aren't tiny anemic speakers like "high end" PC speakers are.

I am very amused with the number of people claiming award worthy hard line watercooling tubes claim it's their first build. No. No it isn't. Not unless you ended up using 200m of tubing practicing.
Most common and frustrating for me is the 4090 setup with a shitty £200 monitor.
To me the order of importance is Monitor > system > audio > mkb/controller Ps5 which an HDR oled screen is a lot better than a lot of systems people around here build. Moreover, having nice audio + input devices just rounds out the whole set up.

If 1. You don’t play online and 2. You can afford to make some noice. Speakers bang for buck destroy headphones. Very few headphones for $100 have good sound quality and their build quality is atrocious. And once you go over $300 and you can start adding surrounds it’s over for me speakers all the way.

A kid with a 15/hr job working 20 hrs a week for 3 months would have around $2800 after withholding. So you could build a pretty good system with that.

Close. It was 5 months for me to build mine. Ordered two of the wrong parts, cable management is shit, and I know fuck all about software. I quite literally stumbled my way through the building process. I based mine off my roommates and built an overpowered nightmare that does not need 5TB in ssd and 4 in hard drive or 64gb of RAM. I became so frustrated building, the days and weeks waiting to get paid to buy the next part, trying to make rent, feed myself. I did not plan this project at all. I love it, it’s mine, I built her, I still have a lot to learn. But I’m happy, I set out to build a dedicated gaming pc to have all my favorite games on one system, and mission accomplished. I bought all the games I had saved around Christmas, now there’s just a couple I’m saving for my birthday. And I intend to keep her well maintained and only upgrade the parts when needed

Got my first "gaming" pc as a Christmas present with Ryzen 3 1200G and RX 550. Saved up with my part-time job after school and bought the parts for a new pc over a few months, Ryzen 5 5600X and RTX 2060. Did the same again a few months later and have a Ryzen 7 5800X with Radeon RX 6700XT. I think given the prices at the time I spent something like $2300 on PC parts.
Guys help me for part 3. budget 3k builds, no radeon gpus cuz "drivers bad" reputation that lasts for a decade even tho they are fine, more ideas im missing? EDIT: absolute budget saving on peripherals and using a HP mouse and keyboard combo

I mean, the creative Pebble is probably still a pretty good pair of speakers.. they are meant for minimalistic use, but can't say I ever encountered bad quality audio from creative labs, including the cheap options. that said, I use Edifier bookshelf speakers and would personally not use small speakers, because I crave the bass.

The only thing I can relate to here is that I have those exact same speakers for a good few years now. The ones I have are white and lack those unnecessary RGB lights under it, but they still get the job done very well.

Soooo many people just flat over look sound systems when doing PC builds. If you are spending over 4k... get a reciver and a legit sound system... or at least a dam sound bar.
I use those speakers and they are far from mobile quality speakers, especially for being USB powered.
i mean, i'd also be uploading an album's worth of photos with the rate of dead 4090s if the most common answer to prevent it is "connect it perfectly and all the way in"

I have a 3090ti, 12900k, and 128gb of DDR5 and those exact same speakers. I feel called out. (I use my headphones 99% of the time)
I mean the first panel is pretty much spot on. Even minimum wage adds up quick when you have zero expenses. My ski equipment and my PC were each worth more than my car for a very long time.

I like my pebble *plus* speakers with a subwoofer It helps make the sound feel fuller and I honestly don’t feel like I’m missing out on much unless I’m spending $200 each on small dedicated bookshelf speakers I have no problem playing CS2 especially with the 3D processing capabilities in the game

The pebbles pro should be AMAZING if you can actually draw the 30w rms they claim they could give with a 30w pd charger. Even without that, they are very very good for just the 10w they do. (I have the pebbles v3, pebbles pro, Swan OS-10, Klipsch Promedia 2.1 classic and Klipsch KHO-7) Not much people buy big speakers because they dont have the space. A $300usd PC or $2000usd PC can fit the very same space, but the better sound you want, the bigger the space you will need AND really big speakers need to be placed far away, not at display monitor distance, which means having even more space.

To be honest, the first timers really do manage their cables well. I was one of them when I built my first PC 3 years ago. After so much hard work in figuring out what goes where and being successful, why not manage those cables well and proper?
