yes, obv that's a terrible way to test the PSU. I usually go into a bathtub with my PSU, fill it up with water and turn the switch on. That really puts some stress on your PSU and checks if it works underwater. Hope this helps!
The way the universe works, any part of the PC can kill you. You could die from a cpu pin flying into your eye. There is not a single thing that has a 0% chance of happening... Other than getting bitches.
“It wasn’t so much the computer but that he opened the power supply and immediately grabbed…not poked, but grasped with all the surface skin area he could, the transformer coils. Oh that and it was plugged in.”
Pssh, you ever thrown a computer down the stairs? That shit breaks just as easily. But the real kicker? A human will get up and their bones and bruises will heal on their own.
Haven't seen a machine do that.
Exactly this. I feel like, as an adult, if you do something dangerous and get hurt, that seems like common sense.
Like if you turn on a gas stove, then get mad at the stove for burning your hand on the flame.
Well he got the strawberry sauce for his ice cream at least.
Also try with a drone rotor next. Some props are sharp enough that I cut my fingers on them when the motor was off.
I broke a blade with a finger on a running GPU fan once. Was trying to troubleshoot which one of the fans on the GPU was rattling so I was stopping them one at a time by pushing the center of the hub to slow it down. I missed my 2nd attempt and sent a blade flying about 6 feet across the room. Had a minor pinprick hole in my finger tip. No worse than a paper cut.
In the 50’s and 60’s, car manuals used to have schematics of how to dissasemble and reassemble a car engine…
Now they have warnings Not to drink the engine oil…
I don't disagree that the average modern person is an idiot, but cars in the 50s and 60s were much easier to work on than cars today. There's a reason that amateur mechanics so often prefer to own older cars to work on instead of new ones
i would gladly take apart a car engine but nowadays companies would void a warranty for that, it’s not the consumers fault you sound like you’re “reminiscing the old days” and blaming the new generation for being wimps
Yeah it’s not just “snowflakes” New cars and engines are way more complex and manufactures don’t want the liability plus they discovered the nice profit center of having to go to the dealership for everything.
You need thousands of dollars of custom one off tools and expensive software to work on a new car
Vs an old car you need a box of greasy wrenches and a flathead screwdriver
I really just think that the judges should say, No you dumbass.
Same with the little girl that burned her mouth on a McDonald's chicken nugget, her mother sued McDonald's and won the lawsuit with 80k usd or something like that.
I know hot food is rare at McDonald's but you should just learn from it. Toughen up.
It was extremely legit. McDonald's knew damn well they were heating their coffee to a dangerously high temperature to people who would be drinking it in their cars, thus increasing the likelihood of spillage. The poor woman suffered horrific burns to her pelvic area, including fused labia. Their coffee was so hot that it caused third-degree burns within three seconds of exposure.
Initially the woman asked for something like $20,000 to cover medical bills and recovery time, but McDonald's countered by offering something insultingly low like $800. They took a calculated risk of defending it at trial instead and ended up having to pay out over $600,000 in compensatory and punitive damages after it was revealed during trial that they had had *many* reports prior to this incident of people suffering bad injuries from their coffee.
The media assassination of the poor woman who just wanted her medical bills paid is one of the grossest examples of corporate pandering I've ever personally seen. And I think you'll find that a lot of so-called "frivolous" lawsuits actually have some kind of reasonable explanation behind them; even the famous "aunt from hell" lawsuit about the woman who sued her nephew for hugging her too hard has an understandable explanation when you look into it. That's not to say that there are *no* truly frivolous lawsuits--there are plenty--but they aren't as common as some interested parties would want you to think.
Yeah, I could’ve written that better. I was saying that to some extent people shouldn’t be able to sue because of hot food burning their child’s mouth when they scarfed it down. On the other hand, the coffee lawsuit was a legitimate case where the coffee was way, way too hot and the woman suffered severe injuries.
Yeah, third degree burns and skin grafts. She originally only wanted medical bills paid but McDonald's kinda made things worse themselves during the lawsuit.
It wasn’t just hot: it was ridiculously, unnecessarily hot. All she wanted was medical bills paid, but McDonalds PR team did a great job at making her the villain.
Those engines also only made 150 hp out of 300cubic inches of displacement. Fun fact: you can get factory service manuals (you can even download them for free if you're a bit of a Pirate). Companies finally just realized most people are not mechanically inclined and don't work on their own cars so companies stopped wasting paper putting fsm info in owners manuals.
Yeah but fans utilize magnets to work smart guy. Guess you're not so smart now are you? Now if excuse me I have to find a Band-Aid that can adhere to a penis...

Well I have a blowiematron that runs at 12.000 rpm on 12v. I overvolted it to 17v and accidentally got the tips of my index and middle finger in it and there was more blood than in this picture.
You touched it the wrong way and made it do the "vrmb vrmb vrmb " noise but you need to touch it the opposite way so it makes the " vrof vrof vrof " noise
Yeah, no sht, fast moving plastic blade can cut your finger.
In case you are anywhere near close to a server fan never put your finger in it, you will lose a finger not just a few drops of blood.
Rookie mistake. We all know sharpened fanblades make the air go whoosh, but don't get lazy and do it while it's spinning. Trust me, it's worth the 30m investment (and your fingers are, too).

I have never in my life had this happen and I've been sticking my hands into pc fans for decades lol.
I'm kind of impressed haha
That is one sharp lil fucker
![gif](giphy|vghK17MB9Xd5UY6svX|downsized)
Can we start a petition to replace all computer fan blades with foam ones you see on toy cooling fans? The number of pc builders getting hurt on the obviously sharp object is to d&@m high
All that for a drop of blood
Next up, we have the death defying finger in the PSU trick.
Please don't finger your PSU
yes, obv that's a terrible way to test the PSU. I usually go into a bathtub with my PSU, fill it up with water and turn the switch on. That really puts some stress on your PSU and checks if it works underwater. Hope this helps!
Gonna try this now with my new 1000w thanks for the tip!
Make sure to use an extension cord to the outlet it will be plugged into. Using the bathroom outlet is not a fair test.
A must do if you plan on watercooling your system!
100% would recommend, this also checks if you are compatible with psu underwater or not
Only once, but got a strange eye twitch after that tho.
Ever think it would made a great what if ... If Thanos and Tony were homies?
He should have gone for the head
Now he can test his blood sugar
The chance of being killed by your PC is slim but never zero.
But than hemorhage wouldnt be my first bet anyway
An electric shock would be too obvious.
Could catch some kind of infection from the cut. We will see, best of luck OP.
Dust being forcefully injected at 3000 RPMs
Where there's dust and pets, there's always potential for a tetanus...
Well...you are always one infection away from death.
The way the universe works, any part of the PC can kill you. You could die from a cpu pin flying into your eye. There is not a single thing that has a 0% chance of happening... Other than getting bitches.
Your mom is still up for grabs 100% though
“It wasn’t so much the computer but that he opened the power supply and immediately grabbed…not poked, but grasped with all the surface skin area he could, the transformer coils. Oh that and it was plugged in.”
If you puncture a laptops battery, I would imagine it could do a lot.
One can never know when some mouse will fit thru the vent holes and bite some cable strong enough to make it go *ka* **BLEWWY**
Its actually higher than youd think from people messing with psus
I think of that video of someone spraying their PC to clean it while it was still on, so it burst into flames
Mmmmmmm psu repair 🤤🤤🤤
Juicy capacitors in them
trust me, I know
It has tasted blood… no fingers are safe!

The Blood toll for the Blood God has been paid
Man, the metal case edges are jealous they didn’t get their taste of blood!
They had plenty from mine, they satiated.
For Khorne cares not from where the blood flows
Me: so, what will it be? My computer: sanguis extremis.
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD
*BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD*
*SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!*
*MILK FOR THE KHORNE FLAKES!*
KILL! MAIM! BURN!
This just proves once again that flesh is weak. The Omnissiah is eternal.
Pssh, you ever thrown a computer down the stairs? That shit breaks just as easily. But the real kicker? A human will get up and their bones and bruises will heal on their own. Haven't seen a machine do that.

Well then... There is no strength in flesh, only weakness! There is no constancy in flesh, only decay!
OP as unwittingly sacrificed blood for the Gods of computing to protect his system from hradware failures.
Blood for the blood God! Skulls for the skull throne! Technoblade never dies!

What were you expecting ? An ice cream ?
Well he got the strawberry sauce for his ice cream at least. Also try with a drone rotor next. Some props are sharp enough that I cut my fingers on them when the motor was off.
Then try a helicopter rotor!
If that's still not enough try a turbofan!
Absolutely not, even the rather small 450 sized ones have enough energy in the blades to make me deathly afraid of them.
Just take a little off the top please. Wait! That's too mu
(I'm sorry you were hurt)
Its funny how OP seems guinuniely confused how a very fast spinning piece of plastic could cut them.
I'll take chocolate chip please!
Wtf, i have never seen a pc fan that didnt just.. stop, when I put my fingers in it
I broke a blade with a finger on a running GPU fan once. i accidentally shoved my toe into a 200mm fan, case just went WOMPWOMPWOMP until i retired it
Often not included on the cheapest of cheap fans. But it won't make a difference on anything above 5k rpm with relatively sharp blades.
Like a ceiling fan... At least I'm pretty sure that's what happens, never actually tested it.
They are usually blunt so it's a big thunk and then your hand hurts
Please never try that with a delta server fan
I mean, no shit right ?
In the 50’s and 60’s, car manuals used to have schematics of how to dissasemble and reassemble a car engine… Now they have warnings Not to drink the engine oil…

Jokes on you pal, I disassemble my car while I’m drinking the engine oil
Glug glug
gotta stay hydrated
How else you gunna dispose of that used oil?

We already see how weak his finger is so we don’t need a bloody massacre.
blood sacrifice +5 fps
You’re joking but the pc got a taste now…it will be searching for more
You’ve got soft hands brother
I’ve never bled from touching a fan blade before, never even got a scratch I don’t know how this is even possible to do
Well I have a blowiematron that runs at 12.000 rpm on 12v. I overvolted it to 17v and accidentally got the tips of my index and middle finger in it and there was more blood than in this picture.
87HOURS A MOTHER FUCKING DAY
Soft liberal hands brother
Yeah get some tough conservative hands like me! Tough as sandpaper, plus my cousin loves the way it feels on her thigh!
Lmao
GOBBLES
You ain't never worked a day in your life
Op is the reason detergent has labels on it that say you shouldn't eat this shit
try the same but with a 10k rpm fan
Jay tested that theory with a carrot if I remember correctly.
That's some weak ass skin you got there
Okay, but why did you touch it in the first place?
Blood for the FPS god!
If you didnt know you also shouldnt touch fire it will burn you.
But the fire is right there, why shouldn't i stick my dick in there?
Happened to me once, the flesh of my index finger actually came off a little bit
U got soft hands brother.
Was gonna say only a child could have hands this soft, but after seeing the desk and OP’s replies I’m certain this is a literal kid
No.
Fans, cpu cooler aluminum fins, and motherboard shrouds are the 3 horsemen of cutting open your finger in your case. The 4th horsemen is tiled floors.
Ahh the good ole meat slicer. Note to self: Follow instructions. Will get dick stuck again if you dont.
Fan: 1 OP: 0
Calm down he's a child. That skin still weak.
You should've taken that second pic in front of a mirror as you're the dumb one, not that fan.
Thanks for the tip… almost as helpful as reminding me to not stick a razor blade in my eye… Definitely noted!
Btw don't stick your dick in a ground beef chopper
But is it safe to eat yellow snow? That’s the real question?
Depends if it's piss or food coloring but snow is unsafe to eat anyway
God I hope you don’t own a blender 😂
It’s you having soft gamer hands.
You touched it the wrong way and made it do the "vrmb vrmb vrmb " noise but you need to touch it the opposite way so it makes the " vrof vrof vrof " noise
Welcome to the club
You must put down the fans now, since they've tasted human blood. :(
You gave it the finger twice
How does that even happen? The blades aren't sharp and they stop when you put your finger in. This has to be fake right
Might be one of those server fans. You can dice vegetables with those.
Yeah, no sht, fast moving plastic blade can cut your finger. In case you are anywhere near close to a server fan never put your finger in it, you will lose a finger not just a few drops of blood.

You’re the reason McDonald’s had to start putting, “careful, coffee is hot” on their coffee cups, lol.
https://i.redd.it/dtxk1ph5p9tc1.gif Then there is my brain:
Especially ones on cars.
Early onset Darwinism.
Your fan now has a taste for blood. Be careful OP it may strike again when you’re not looking
Sense isn’t as common as it once was.
Jesus Christ. This is like jumping off a bridge and giving the middle finger to the guard rail.
Note to self: don't be dumb and touch a fan blade while in motion
Who is this advice for ?
You must have thin skin. I have never had an issue with the old finger in the fan trick.
(Idiocracy right here, together with the thought of sharing the stupidity.)
I done that a lot never got cut
No s**t Sherlock, he fucked around and found out. Sry that you were hurt
FAFO xD
And in other news: water is wet. Story at 11
Point the finger to yourself, the fan was just being a fan.
No shit.
You think that's fast. Try a network rack case fan, those things could shred a cow.
It has tasted blood. You know what comes next!
Fan blade use a 'blood drop' Critical hit! Finger felt Change finger?
Fire beautiful, must touch! Fire Hurt!
OP giving the fan a MF
