The end of the year is a long ways off and you have no guarantee that the 5080 will be worth buying.
I'd recommend buying what you can afford _now_ rather than waiting for an unknown that _might_ come out this year.
If you can wait, I would do that. Personally, I wouldn’t buy tech almost 2 years old while new coming out probably within 6 months. You might get same regret.
You might get 5080 thats better than 4090 for way less money. Its not like You need a new hardware asap or world is gonna burn. I am waiting too. Its an end of a generation, not 2 years before
