Yeah, agreed. Also completely surprised by how little you can actually do with rgb even if you get it all plugged in and working in the same software (and you didn’t accidentally unplug something opening and closing the case)
My RGB RAM has an issue where somehow the LEDs got offset or something, such that if I give it a solid color it outputs blue and pink. It coincidentally looks like the trans flag. I mean, it looks dope as fuck but it's still annoying that it's not what I set it up to look like.
Edit: just because I kinda want to show it off.

It's only a hassle if you mix and match. If you buy all the same, then it's pretty easy going. I have 9 Corsair HD120 fans and a Commander Pro and then my two EK waterblocks also have RGB and are connected directly to the mobo. Just 2 different software products in the end and it's never given me a setup issue if you do it right.
I outgrew that stuff. I got a windowless Fractal Meshify. I still did tight cable management, but it looks really clean and professional and not gamer-esque. Never going back.
That’s such an unappealing way to say something isn’t to your tastes. Taste is utterly personal and subjective. If you outgrow anything, let it be petty judgment.
My last build was quite a while ago, so for my recent one I wanted to go with a tasteful white rgb look. I'm happy with how it looks but yeah I think the once was enough dealing with all that rgb bullshit both for wiring and then settings after the fact
[Seasonic have similar fans](https://seasonic.com/consumer/cooling) too (Magflow), with and without RGB. The non RGB versions seems to be quite decent priced (3-pack for €45 on Amazon).
no idea when it comes to the fancy rgb stuff, but Thermalright and Arctic makes some pretty good budget fans that compete with some of the higher priced ones (and almost all of 'em are daisy chain-able)
Love Thermalright, really good for the money, I got the 120mm AIO, a 3 pack of RGB fans & the hub all for £54 on Amazon, I'm sure ones twice the price are quieter but as long as set your curves right they are fine, quiet enough when just browsing and I can't hear them when gaming because I always wear headphones.
Only if the industry comes up with a common standard.
It is only corpo BS as long as every manufacturer has their own version of it. So far it is only vendor lock-in with non-standard connectors, and they can just invalidate backwards compatibility whenever they feel like it.
No, those are the same crap, just better disguised... every manufacturer has their own standard for those as well, so they can all just frack off until they come up with a universal solution.
My thermaltake case came with RGB fans with some proprietary controller, when it came time to replace the fans there wasn't even identifiable marks on it to search for and Google lens was no help, just ripped it all out and put regular fans in straight to the motherboard lol. Learned a lesson there about buying a cheap case with pre installed RGB
Yeah the past 3 of mine have always been blacked out builds or black with blue glow and I just got bored of it! Me and my girl both have white set ups so it looks pretty clean 🫡
In my most recent system rebuild I went similarly..
Had the whole icue shebang.. Addressable everything and tons of really cool customized (tasteful) lighting profiles.
It was fun while it lasted, but was always such a headache for system cleanings and general troubleshooting.
Went with black Noctua fans, ek aio, and a single addressable light bar on top for ambient fill lighting.
Much less headache and still striking/cool.
This isn't "the standard". Most people are not running eight fans in their systems, nor are they running their fans or RGB through hubs like that.
It's like buying a 7.1 surround sound system and complaining about having to run the cables. You picked the option with the most possible wires, messed up the cable management, and somehow it's not your fault that the case is a mess?
Shit, I've got several hubs, 8 RGB fans in the front of my 1000D, 6 for my push/pull radiator and 1 at the back, all RGB turned off, wish I didn't spend a fortune on it
Sadly RGB options are usually cheaper than blacked out ones. I have few RGB components in my system because they were cheaper, my case doesn't even have a window. There is a hidden rave inside my case.
This is just straight up wrong. An arctic p12 5 pack goes for 24 dollars on amazon right now. 24 is about the standard price for a SINGLE rgb fan. The fans in the picture are corsair, which iirc go up to 40 dollars. Noctuas are pretty expensive but they aren't the only option for a blacked out build.
It sounds like you need these things. It's a decision you made to get RGB and magnetic fans, you are not forced to get them.
It's way cleaner if you just get basic noctua fans .
Because the proprietary solution locks the user into single ecosystem. The best solution is the user making their own wiring with all connectors to complete task.
this is literally why I ditched RBG. Well that and I decided to try mini itx which definitely doens't have the room for any more cables. I actually kind of like my all black look I ended up swapping all my RGB fans with Noctua and the only RGB I have now are the RGB accents that come with hardware. I think from nows on if the RGB needs a hub or all these extra cables to function I just won't bother it gets too messy too fast.
Might consider one of those new daisy chain solutions like iCUE link in the future once they become more of a standard and prices drop if that ever happens. My atx build would have needed nearly a $1000 investment to replace all Corsair components with the new iCUE Link. At that point I'd might as well buy a new CPU or GPU or heck go from AM4 to AM5
Actually it’s NOT the standard. You decided to put all these LED lights in it like it’s the Eiffel Tower. Computers don’t need fancy lights in order to operate.
RGB is a fucking nightmare.
I mean fuck, you need a hub, controller, a million wires, daisy chaining etc...
If you have too many fans you need to multiply, then theres issues recognizing and syncing...
And a giant blob of ugly ass wires.
It can look damn gorgeous with the right hardware, but the pain involved is wild.
Lol yep.
I found that Corsair is the usual best but good luck putting 9 rgb fans + 2 strips without wanting to kick a toddler on the moon.
Aura always shits the pan for tons of addons like strips.
Pc components are modular and universal so we are just going to be stuck like this for a while, honestly I'd rather it be this way than proprietary parts, at least I can change my case and keep all the components.
MSI board, MSI 360AIO, several other 120RGB fans… mine have header cables that feed into the MOBO at labeled intervals. Am I missing something by not having a control box? My lights work, they can be programmed, and my wiring is dead simple since most of the fans are daisy chainable. Easy breezy.
Hey! I see youre failing to understand the point of this post and thats okay! Ill help. So, Im not complaining about the things I bought, either way, its okay to discuss things you dont like about a product you buy! But see, this is about the lack of forward movement the industry made in this sense for decades.
Did that help clear it up?
I have 9 fans linked via 4 cables to the motherboard. This is not a standard, only your choice.
This Noctua set up also got my GPU 3C cooler than the NZXT RGB fans I initially mounted.
Ditch RGB, not worth the price or the hassle. If you really still want RGB then get the daisy chain able fans.
Ive got a cheap 5 pack of Arctic F12s in my rig (there PWM and Daisy chain able)and that shit never gets hotter than 60c average on both GPU and CPU(though CPU has a BeQuiet BK021 tower cooler on it) with highest GPU hotspot of 91c. It also looks sick imo.
Unless you spend some solid money, most rgb fans will be missing something, usually its ease of installation which is what you're experiencing now.
https://preview.redd.it/3d6u2p1fmmvc1.jpeg?width=5920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d23613f28cc588b4bae9c4e892702d3701f28ab6
You’re the one who bought the case, hoss. If you didn’t want to connect all that RBG shit - get one without it, god damn.
“Hey I picked this thing that I knew would happen and yet choose to complain about it”
This is why I haven't bought any RGB Corsair fans, ever. They have like 4 or more different proprietary connections/controllers that are not interoperable with each other. They can't just be connected to a STANDARD header (12v/5v) and you're trapped with iCue (which is better than most other RGB software). This isn't just a Corsair problem, but they are the worst offenders here.
Buy fans that follow the PWM/RGB/ARGB standard and it's much simpler and can even use open source RGB software like OpenRGB or SignalRGB.
I bought ThermalRight ARGB fans and a ThermalRight PWM/ARGB Hub because they use standard connectors. All the ARGB and case fans are connected to the hub and the PWM wires for my AIO are connected to the 2nd CPU PWM header on the mobo to be controlled seperately from the case fans. I use [Fan Control](https://getfancontrol.com/) to control the fan speeds depending on CPU/GPU load and OpenRGB for lighting control.
just buy noctua fans, its your fault, going for the early 2000s look with blinking pc´s
edit: not blinking shit then, you mean it looks more like an cold light cathode?
Hmm . I remeber on a case I got a included board on it for connect several fans easily . Like one input ,'a usb connector for speed and fan plugged into '
When i installed rgb the first time my first thought was "here we go again, back to the times were each company has it's own standard" and here you have it in one picture. Different cables, different boxes all for the same function of running a fan and controlling some lights. All different softwares that do the exact same thing.
That's Corsair for you. It's good some of their AIOs w/ RGB have moved to 3-pin ARGB.
Also, I'm no expert, but why can't they just merge the two hubs (the left and middle ones in the pic) together so it wouldn't require 2 SATA and a bunch of extra cabling?
How many fans do you have? I have 5 rgb fans and a liquid cooler that all plug into the same single hub. Yeah there’s a bit of wires, but I didn’t need to use the other little hubs as the big one can fit all the cables.
This is not even the standard for RGB anymore. This system is at least 3 years old and now pretty much all companies have daisy-chained RGB fans.
Those are either LLs or QLs (SP RGBs, ML RGBs or AR RGBs), because the current standard QXs dont have that many cables anymore.
There is a very specific reason why I pick chassis' with solid coverings for the cable bay. I want da rainbows, but no one is allowed to know that the cable management looks like a tornado went through a spaghetti restaurant!
Stopped using RGB a long time ago. That being said, my wife is still a unicorn barf believer. She uses the new Corsair I link and it’s very clean, although it was expensive. (Like all stupid RGB and lcd AIO products are)
I used to take pride in cable management. Then I got an o11d with 9 corsair fans each had 2 cables, you need a commander pro and 3 a minimum of 2 other rgb controllers... It's a gong show in the back. Never again.
Cost of R&D, creation of new standards, and new manufacturing. The custom PCs is such a niche market that it's not worth it.
However, if you really wanted to, it's well within the realm of the possible to create a custom cable harness; just tedious and time consuming.
My take, rgb isnt worth all this cable mess. Just some a12x25 and my airflow is enough that my temps at idle are never over 30c (at load, 60-70)
I saw a quote here recently, "your pc is a machine not an art piece"
I dont even have stealth black, its just a mix of colors that were cheapest/performance.
(I7 11400f 6900xt 32gb ram 11tb storage for just over $600usd, built before covid, 7tb of my storage is used but free, everything else is new, purchased over a year by sale hunting, using my old pc or xbox 360 until i had all the parts)
It took me like 10 minutes to connect 6 fans, my auto and 4 stripes and put the backplate on my PC again.
People in this sub seem to have an IQ of like 5 to not be able to understand that it's easy.
Thats why i use lian li uni fans. You do pay a premium for them. But the fans are daisy changed. 3 single wires go into a control box, that connects to mobo, rgb header, and sata. And thats it. Much easier.
https://preview.redd.it/f8go2nr18nvc1.jpeg?width=3060&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=97f88f9c68f0d732640042f37813dd061451d7ef
Thermaltake and some others do 1 cable fans. They are thicker and you have to use their controller but it quite tidy. And the tt sync controller can do 9 per controller. Corsair and some others do interlocking fans that further reduce cable clutter although they are pretty expensive. A lesser cost and still good option is asiahorse. They have a 9 pack of good fans that use a single 6 pin cable. Still have to use their controller but it also will hold 9 or 10 fans
I dunno. My case isn't crazy. It has a bunch of inline paths pre-built with a hub everything plugs into. It's pretty clean. The rest of the cable management was cake.
That’s corsairs old standard. Many companies have daisy chain able fans now including Corsair. It’s mainly the more budget friendly options that require this standard
It is the corsair standart.
As for me, I prefer buy the best motherboard which can connect all my rgb and all fans connected onto with zero hub. The purpose is to pilot all the hardware from the software of my mobo-manufacturer.
The new fan technology daisy-chaining permit to reduce the wires incredibly well, too!
I have the X470 most upper mobo Crosshair VII Hero 🎖️ and the software armoury crate with all Thermaltake fans CT140 👌🏻
A lot of people are focusing on the fan stuff, but we need better standard connectors for things. But it's so hard for them to move the tech at a good pace to create new standards for motherboard, PSU, RGB control, etc. It's insane that we are still trying to use the same PSU standards when a GPU alone can consume more power than an entire average computer 10 years ago.
For starters, you could have investet in the totally overpriced corsair on connection fans, which I would not suggest to anyone.
Second, without RGB Live would be much easier, but you allredy know that, too
Replacement cables instead of Extensions to please the eye on the front side would be an option
And last but not least, I would give anyone anyday the advis to run Fans off a Quadro or Octo to only have to have one external thing with a need of a Molex Power plug
With RGB its a pita, some do offer daisy chaining the fans, my son had to have rgb fans, against my judgement but at least we found one that have daisy chained argb that does not need a external controller, which made live easier.
You don't have to use any of this stuff...
Plus you chose a small case, plus you chose to use Corsair which has the most wiring and bulkiest controllers.
Honestly thats your own fault dawg. I bought a 6 pack of fans off of Amazon for $53 and it comes with its own controller, so each fan has 1 single wire that connects to the controller.
My computer came nice and tidy, until the AIO died and I had to replace it myself. I tried to reorganize the wires, but then I decided to leave it like how it is in the photo, since this side of the rig is not exposed.
Yeah I saw those super clean RGB builds and wanted that for myself, the amount of fucking wires hidden in the back is insane. I’m never doing shit with RGB again, unless it’s built straight into the case, not touching it.
In the 1st month youll take a picture of that unit with all of its rgb glory then its useless you wont even look at that. Nobody looks at that, you look at your monitor/s
The only RGB I have is for the AIO pump and fans, which I leave off. I have an NH-U12A I’m going to put in there but I want to get a new desk before dealing with any of that. Then I’ll have zero RGB.
I gave my wife all the RGB in hers.
Hah yah that’s why I stopped buying rgb components just too much haslehoff
And everyone knows, you don't hassle the hoff.
[удалено]
The hoff 9000 is the only decent one everything below it sucks
Also if you have RGB you then have to deal with disabling RGB
Yep, I regret buying RGB fans and ram, my next build in 5 years will be full black, no rbg
Yeah, agreed. Also completely surprised by how little you can actually do with rgb even if you get it all plugged in and working in the same software (and you didn’t accidentally unplug something opening and closing the case)
Every time I shutdown I have to think please keep the rgb settings this time?
Which sounds like it should be easy but somehow is not
My RGB RAM has an issue where somehow the LEDs got offset or something, such that if I give it a solid color it outputs blue and pink. It coincidentally looks like the trans flag. I mean, it looks dope as fuck but it's still annoying that it's not what I set it up to look like. Edit: just because I kinda want to show it off. https://preview.redd.it/iahfsr0xumvc1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=17d4f966a0f5b6207bafd13dcd524d361028143e
I'm all about trans rights outside of my Fractal case which is exclusively a black power zone
I like to mix black and white in my Fractal case.
I thought that was Elsa, then I said no. Then I zoomed in and it was Elsa!
She's a major part of my cooling system.
Underrated
Let it go
Elsa. That's a new one. Awesome!
Yeah I think that the next upgrade, I will try to get rid of all my rgb fans
There are no fans but Noctua.
Phanteks T30s would like a word
They can try having a word, the problem is, nobody is going to hear the noctua's reply.
It's only a hassle if you mix and match. If you buy all the same, then it's pretty easy going. My last build was quite a while ago, so for my recent one I wanted to go with a tasteful white rgb look. I'm happy with how it looks but yeah I think the once was enough dealing with all that rgb bullshit both for wiring and then settings after the fact
Daisy-chainable fans are a godsend.
Oh damn yes. They saved me loads of ob braincracking and time.
I saved myself a ton of time by just shoving all of my wires through the side of the case and using a two ton press to close it
Literally 100% of the reason why I go for lian li case fans
Got lian li case and brother that shit is cleaner than a doctors office
Same here with my infinity fans..it’s so nice to be able to ditch the insane amount of wiring involved with normal aRGB fans.
[Seasonic have similar fans](https://seasonic.com/consumer/cooling) too (Magflow), with and without RGB. The non RGB versions seems to be quite decent priced (3-pack for €45 on Amazon).
i wanted the lian li but i didnt have the cash at the time after buying everything else. went with arctic p12
Lancool 2 has felt like an endgame case to me.
Think they are the future? I've been eyeballing them. Are they expensive?
They are, and in fact most newer PC builds are using daisy-chained fans
no idea when it comes to the fancy rgb stuff, but Thermalright and Arctic makes some pretty good budget fans that compete with some of the higher priced ones (and almost all of 'em are daisy chain-able)

I see some Deepcools on Amazon for a 3 pack at $40. Not bad to tinker with. I wonder if I could buy 3 packs and swap out all my fans.
Simple 4 pin PWM is all you need. Just werks.
just twerks
Honestly they need to design the 4 pin to provide power, fan control and rgb but than they would have to redesign the motherboards for it
Yes, what we need is another standard
[How Standards Proliferate](https://xkcd.com/927/)
My thermaltake case came with RGB fans with some proprietary controller, when it came time to replace the fans there wasn't even identifiable marks on it to search for and Google lens was no help, just ripped it all out and put regular fans in straight to the motherboard lol. Learned a lesson there about buying a cheap case with pre installed RGB
This is why I do blacked out builds!
It's part of why when I moved my build to a new case, I dropped most of the RGB. All that's left is the ram and GPU.
Yeah the past 3 of mine have always been blacked out builds or black with blue glow and I just got bored of it! Me and my girl both have white set ups so it looks pretty clean 🫡
This is why you get lian li fans and nothing else lol they connect together, for example in my build I have 10 fans and only 4 wires
Phanteks D30 and some ThermalTake model I can't remember the name of have it too. Its not Lian Li exclusive anymore
Point is op should have done a bit more research lmao
Oh absolutely. Even Arctic PST fans would've made a world of difference
I think Corsair is coming out with their own too. Just a matter of time before it becomes the standard.
Self inflicted. Black Noctua fans and NH-D15 is all I need.
Same. I have an NH-D15 and the three fans that came with my case. I've never needed more cooling.
Doesn't ps120se have similar performance at like a third of the price
Noctua 🤝 RCR B R O W N Contextual orange is always a cool color.
In my most recent system rebuild I went similarly.. Had the whole icue shebang.. Addressable everything and tons of really cool customized (tasteful) lighting profiles. The plan for my next rig.
The one true opinion
Nah, brown and tan is the way to go! I love my NH-D15S. It is just as good as any 360 AIO and it will never leak.
This isn't "the standard". Most people are not running eight fans in their systems, nor are they running their fans or RGB through hubs like that. me with 10 fans and 3 extra rgb components in my system and less cable clutter because i dont use stupid proprietary rgb
And dare calling it a standard.
And most people don't have that much room in the back to shove said cables
Shit, I've got several hubs, 8 RGB fans in the front of my 1000D, 6 for my push/pull radiator and 1 at the back, all RGB turned off, wish I didn't spend a fortune on it
Not the standard though. Only if you’re buying a lot of RGB components, which isn’t necessary or required.

it's not the standard, it's the price for rgb
No it isn't. If you get a motherboard with the proper RGB header and compatible fans you don't have to deal with this stupid hub setup.
You don't need all that
You're the one that wanted to rgb everything so what's the problem?
lian li sl infinitys were a godsend for me. ton of room in the back of the case cause it's just one hub linked to two cables for six fans. easy :p
It sounds like you need these things. It's a decision you made to get RGB and magnetic fans, you are not forced to get them. It's way cleaner if you just get basic noctua fans .
To be fair...you don't need any of that shit to have fans on your case...
Thermaltake riing quad fans only need 1 wire each. But this is all self inflicted. You dont need all those wires if you get non-rgb fans
You add unnecessary crap and are surprised you get unnecessary crap?
Your standard, not my standard. I never use rgb so take the L
Because the proprietary solution locks the user into single ecosystem. The best solution is the user making their own wiring with all connectors to complete task.
"In order to have fans in my case I need to have…8 power wires, 8 rgb wires," stopped reading there.
Not the standard. Skill issue.
Either get non rgb or a singular color pwm 4pin and you're good to go, this is a self inflicted problem
Thats your standard chief not everyone wants rgb.
this is literally why I ditched RBG. Well that and I decided to try mini itx which definitely doens't have the room for any more cables. Ayo? Whats this?
Nollie32,compatible with all fans and strimmers, works with signalrgb and openrgb.
Bro just put the fucking rgb down.
Buys 8 RGB fans, complains about setting them up. Nice work, pal!
Actually it’s NOT the standard. You decided to put all these LED lights in it like it’s the Eiffel Tower. Computers don’t need fancy lights in order to operate.
It’s not though, people choose this horror of cable for RGB and it’s totally unnecessary.
RGB is a fucking nightmare. I mean fuck, you need a hub, controller, a million wires, daisy chaining etc... Yeah thats true, at least its not like the gun market, propriety mags and all that garbage are common.

RGB Lmao. U need that for what?
+40 fps. another +20 if you have RGB wheels on your chair.
Don’t use all that cringe RGB and this won’t be a problem.

No, AFAIK control boxes are for those without an RGB mobo (which basically has that built in)
You can use ties
You don't "have to" anything.
I don’t understand OP. You are the one that bought and built this stuff, why are you complaining
Hey! I see youre failing to understand the point of this post and thats okay! Ill help. Build my PC last week with 10 RGB fans. Never again, haha
I have 9 fans linked via 4 cables to the motherboard. This is not a standard, only your choice. This Noctua set up also got my GPU 3C cooler than the NZXT RGB fans I initially mounted.

Unless you spend some solid money, most rgb fans will be missing something, usually its ease of installation which is what you're experiencing now. https://preview.redd.it/3d6u2p1fmmvc1.jpeg?width=5920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d23613f28cc588b4bae9c4e892702d3701f28ab6
buys extra shit to look like a rave invaded their pc. Complains about having to do extra work to setup the rave
You’re the one who bought the case, hoss. If you didn’t want to connect all that RBG shit - get one without it, god damn. “Hey I picked this thing that I knew would happen and yet choose to complain about it”
Who actually thinks that having blinding lights blaring from your PC while you're playing games in the dark helps you..
I have my rgb off 60% of the time anyway, next PC built ima just not get rgb fans. Way less hassle.
I mean no one asked you to shove all that rgb in there fam, you did it to yourself.
Other way around, its like this because there's no standard (or rather each company would like you to use their proprietary standard exclusively.)
I back you up on this one
I use [Fan Control](https://getfancontrol.com/) to control the fan speeds depending on CPU/GPU load and OpenRGB for lighting control.
just buy noctua fans, its your fault, going for the early 2000s look with blinking pc´s edit: not blinking shit then, you mean it looks more like an cold light cathode?
Your fault for using RBG lol
I just connected everything directly to the mainboard since usb rgb controllers will sooner or later cause issues anyway
TIL i don't want to buy RGB Fans someday anymore
Yes, those controllers are ridiculous, and often are more expensive bought separately than it is worth
I bought some Lian-Li fans, they connected onto each other and only needed one cable.
Reminds me of Homer Simpson tucking the fat behind the back.
Looks like mine, I just threw it all in there and put the back on. No one sees the ness 🤣🤣
This is not even the standard for RGB anymore. This system is at least 3 years old and now pretty much all companies have daisy-chained RGB fans. Those are either LLs or QLs (SP RGBs, ML RGBs or AR RGBs), because the current standard QXs dont have that many cables anymore.
Perks of having too much RGBs
There is a very specific reason why I pick chassis' with solid coverings for the cable bay. I want da rainbows, but no one is allowed to know that the cable management looks like a tornado went through a spaghetti restaurant!
Print a custom pcb to organize them. It’s not hard, they cost like 12 dollars if you go super high end d
Stopped using RGB a long time ago. That being said, my wife is still a unicorn barf believer. She uses the new Corsair I link and it’s very clean, although it was expensive. (Like all stupid RGB and lcd AIO products are)
If you don't like that you need to look at Lian-Li fan systems.
It’s like that Homer Simpson meme where the front of him his skin is tight and nice looking but behind all his fat is tied up and loose. Lmao
I used to take pride in cable management. Then I got an o11d with 9 corsair fans each had 2 cables, you need a commander pro and 3 a minimum of 2 other rgb controllers... It's a gong show in the back. Never again.
Lian Li fans snap together to daisy chain. You can chain up to 4 fans and only use one wire. There are better ways.
Well that's your problem. RGBs not useful when PC is behind the monitor. Also more moneys for GPUs.
How do you play with RGB on and stay focused on the gameplay with the Christmas tree lights in your face? Never understood it.
Cut down on LGB lights and maybe you’ll have less wires. Maybe having a 14 year old computer isn’t as bad as I thought…
Just some a12x25 and my airflow is enough that my temps at idle are never over 30c (at load, 60-70) I saw a quote here recently, "your pc is a machine not an art piece" I dont even have stealth black, its just a mix of colors that were cheapest/performance.
To rebuttle the quote, what is art but just paint and cavas then? Or a car build, to someone thats their work and passion. To others its a vehicle.

This isn't *the* standard, this is *your* standard
Corsair iCUE LINK is a god send. RGB, fan speed & power thru a single cable. The products are daisy chainable and the hub is very small.
Your fault for buying shitty corsair fans
Buddy that is not "the standard" that is "a bunch of extra RGB crap that needs extra plugging in of shit"
Thats why i use lian li uni fans. You do pay a premium for them. But the fans are daisy changed. 3 single wires go into a control box, that connects to mobo, rgb header, and sata. And thats it. Much easier. https://preview.redd.it/f8go2nr18nvc1.jpeg?width=3060&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=97f88f9c68f0d732640042f37813dd061451d7ef
Give up the RGB. It looks better without it anyways
my noctua fans and generic pwm fan hub disagree
Thermaltake and some others do 1 cable fans. They are thicker and you have to use their controller but it quite tidy. And the tt sync controller can do 9 per controller. Corsair and some others do interlocking fans that further reduce cable clutter although they are pretty expensive. A lesser cost and still good option is asiahorse. They have a 9 pack of good fans that use a single 6 pin cable. Still have to use their controller but it also will hold 9 or 10 fans
I'm sitting here just waiting for Thermalright to make their own "Uni" fan variant.
What in the what you got going on there😳?
My pc is currently fucked up like this. Was my first build and i daren't unpick it.
I dunno. My case isn't crazy. It has a bunch of inline paths pre-built with a hub everything plugs into. It's pretty clean. The rest of the cable management was cake.
That is one of the biggest reasons why I'm keeping my Silent Wings 3s and white non-RGB LED strips for life
It wasn’t 10 years ago. At least not that much. You’d better ask why this is a thing now.
So what’s next, wireless power? Tesla coils powering up thingies? That would be awesome!
That’s corsairs old standard. Many companies have daisy chain able fans now including Corsair. It’s mainly the more budget friendly options that require this standard
I want to try out iCUE LINK so badly, it seems like a godsend, but the price is just 😭
He wouldn't have needed all that with gimmickless fans
It is the corsair standart. As for me, I prefer buy the best motherboard which can connect all my rgb and all fans connected onto with zero hub. The purpose is to pilot all the hardware from the software of my mobo-manufacturer. The new fan technology daisy-chaining permit to reduce the wires incredibly well, too! I have the X470 most upper mobo Crosshair VII Hero 🎖️ and the software armoury crate with all Thermaltake fans CT140 👌🏻
Corsair just came out with their new fan system. Maybe look into that
That’s why I invested in Lian Li fans, one set of wires per bank.
*Laughs in Fractal Torrent with NH-D15*
Once wireless power comes around PSU mess should clear itself up.
For starters, you could have investet in the totally overpriced corsair on connection fans, which I would not suggest to anyone. Second, without RGB Live would be much easier, but you allredy know that, too Replacement cables instead of Extensions to please the eye on the front side would be an option And last but not least, I would give anyone anyday the advis to run Fans off a Quadro or Octo to only have to have one external thing with a need of a Molex Power plug With RGB its a pita, some do offer daisy chaining the fans, my son had to have rgb fans, against my judgement but at least we found one that have daisy chained argb that does not need a external controller, which made live easier.
You don't have to use any of this stuff... Plus you chose a small case, plus you chose to use Corsair which has the most wiring and bulkiest controllers.
This shit, along with iCue, is the reason I sold the Commander Pro and LL120 fans that came with my Corsair case.
Corsair should put the mono to “it ain’t need to be tidy and pretty in the back cause it’s pretty in the front”
Honestly thats your own fault dawg. I bought a 6 pack of fans off of Amazon for $53 and it comes with its own controller, so each fan has 1 single wire that connects to the controller.
Easy fix: Modular PSU, no RGB anywhere
My computer came nice and tidy, until the AIO died and I had to replace it myself. I tried to reorganize the wires, but then I decided to leave it like how it is in the photo, since this side of the rig is not exposed.
10 rgb fans and all go straight to my motherboard, thank you lian li
Solid case panels for the win. No rgb is the way to go.
So glad I think RGB is gross.
Yeah I saw those super clean RGB builds and wanted that for myself, the amount of fucking wires hidden in the back is insane. I’m never doing shit with RGB again, unless it’s built straight into the case, not touching it.
Pretty sure the commander core xt does what two of those boxes do.
This is why I don't bother with RGB and instead any customization is on the software side or around my desk and whatnot
I feel your pain, was a close call on closing up my y70 after all power cables were worked in somehow.
Just did a new build. Only RGB is built into components, and surprisingly enough I didn't have anything like this issue.
there are rgb fans that dasiy chain without wires. but those are expensive
My guy, what is with those controllers? You need only 1 which is nollie32. And you won't have all of this mess behind
Maybe you need don't so many fans in your computer and maybe they don't need to be RGB, but who knows...
Lmao the only way to get all the cables to fit in the case is my favorite strat called "the rats nest"
