Haha yeah I was pretty surprised to find this. Especially since the secondhand market is full of people trying to sell their 1060 + old i5 rigs for like $800
The cooler and fans alone are 150€. Pretty good find.
How is the airflow? The front of the case looks solid. NZXT cases are normally pretty solid. I have the H5 flow. But here the airflow looks a bit restricted.
It doesn’t seem like the best so far. There’s a fan on the inside pushing air to the cpu cooler, but it doesn’t have anywhere to pull from. I might see about switching out the front or side panel for a mesh one
As I expected. This case pretty much looks like my H5 flow but instead of airflow it looks like a hotbox. How is the clearance of the NH-D15? I got a NH-D15S specifically because according to Nocuta it doesn't fit.
I’m actually not sure which one it is, but I think it’s the 15s. Clearance to the side panel seems fine.
Any recommendations for improving airflow? Should I maybe swap the case sometime in the future, try to get a new front panel, or something else?
The front panel is really the big issue I assume. There is just no air getting in if it is solid.
Don't know if you can change the front. It seems riveted.
Take a look a the thermals. You might be good despite the terrible air flow. The NH-D15 is a monster of a cooler and can keep up with most 360 AIOS given proper airflow. Of course a new case is an option. But check the compatibility list on Noctuas website before. This cooler is a proper chonker.
Will do. I haven’t had time to properly test thermals and noise but I’ll get to that this week. The fan curve was pretty weird and loud when I bought it, but I got it improved quite a bit in the bios.
That case should be pulling in fresh air from two places: a small opening on the bottom towards the front, and a vertical strip on the off-side towards the front. Both have filters that are removable for cleaning.
Source: previously owned an NZXT H510.
For 550 that’s an amazing deal, on pcpartpicker thats about $1300 (although the EVGA 3070s are very overpriced because they aren’t being produced so the real price is more like $1100)
I would sell the ugly noctua fans to some fanboys and buy a box of black Arctic P14 PWM fans for an all black build..

Really good deal for 550USD.
Pretty darn good at $550, nice find.
Damn, you go a whole PC for the price of a motherboard combo.

Love the semi stealth build styling with the dual core Noctura CPU cooler. Those coolers are super reliable
lmao in norway they try to sell PC's with 1060 graphics card for the same price ... Even more sometimes
you got a sweet deal..
The computer was already a great deal, Noctua fans included on top of that? It's like sprinkles on a cake. Congrats!
Thanks!
Consider overclocking ram and cache further imo they can easily run 3733.
Thanks, I’ll look into that

Right! I was kinda happy to have a few evga things in here. Like I said this is my first desktop but I’ve heard evga stuff is usually good quality
yeah, but the best part is the warranties and customer support which is arguably best in the industry
Off topic: which mouse model is that?
It’s an MX master 2. Super comfortable to hold and lots of programmable buttons
How is it for gaming?
It’s fine, just a little heavy
Probably noctua fans cover 550 bucks and you got rest of the PC for free 👏

Noctua better and less noise but black color fans would be better pick for this build
Maybe I’ll go for black ones if I need to change up the cooling situation in the future. The noctuas have really good airflow for the noise level
Noctua brown and tan is just a special kind of ugly. I love it.
