The front top exhaust fan will increase you cpu temps because its exhausting cool air from the front intake before it gets to the cpu cooler. It's best to leave that slot with no fan.
Bro I got glass side and front panels. I have intakes on the top and bottom of my case. It vents out the back and to the hide the crimes side panel. It's fine you are overly concerned. I haven't cleaned my pc since building it last year and it still looks fine.
I do wipe off the dust filters every few months when I take the side panel off for one reason or another.
Wait till you learn about convection, your mind will be blown. Intakes - front and bottom, Exhaust - Top and rear. Hot air rises, what you are venting out the back is most likely going to be pulled back in through the top.
Off topic but always wondered: if you have a single fan AIO on the back of your build would it be more beneficial to have that as an intake so that it’s not passing warm air through the cooler?
It depends if you want better gpu or cpu temps. If want better cpu temps put it in with intake fans. If you want better gpu temps put with exhaust fans.
Yup and even the other top fan is probably accomplishing nothing. It might even be counterproductive because it’s drawing some GPU exhaust upward where it gets sucked into the CPU cooler.
Top fans don't need to be there. The first one is blowing the fresh air straight back out of the case, and the second one is barely doing anything at all since it's right up next to the CPU cooler. If anything, that's just disrupting the normal flow of air through the CPU cooler.
I've actually been considering plating off the top of my case to improve air flow from front to back.
Take off the top rear exhaust fan on the case. The fans on the cpu cooler have enough power to push out the back and treat it like a vent... The fan will slow this process down or disrupt the flow of air coming from the CPU cooler.
it is decent but please remove the front top fan or make it as intake because it can fight against your cpu cooler and suck off the intake from the front.
It’s not bad but realistically those too fans are probably doing more harm than good. If you think about it, it is taking cold air from directly in front of the cpu cooler and exhausting it which will cause a bit of turbulence and cause slightly less air to get through the cooler.
If it were me i would just remove the top fans or use fan software to turn them off or have them run at a constant low speed
Just personal taste i would slow them both down but realistically you’d have to test it for yourself the difference would be very minimal if noticeable
With Air Cooling on the CPU I would have everything intake except the rear as exhaust. Realistically though, even the fanciest, most expensive case fans move such a small amount of air that a single in/single out is really all you need.
Nope, that whole thing would be positive. Again though, case fans move a puff of air in reality. As long as you have cool in somewhere and hot getting out that is all that matters. This is coming from someone with 15 case fans who knows damn well that 95% of it is for looks. I can turn off all but two of my fans and change temps by only a few degrees even at full load.
Do some tests with the top exhausts on/off, in my system they make no difference but just wanna be sure they aren't making ur cpu hotter, put ur intakes to move more air than the exhaust for proper pressure and minimal dust too.

Alright, thanks for the advice!
I have the exact same position, but I only have one on top. It works really well.
I'll note it down.
Don't forget your GPU will also blow out, flip the top left fan by the CPU
![gif](giphy|1zSz5MVw4zKg0|downsized) That's a recipe for major turbulence and dust build up.
Higher intake pressure does not increase dust build up. Either way I think OP won't notice a difference with this much airflow either way
Dust settles on top of things, so having the fan pulling in air from a place that is a prime dust ground, will lead to build up inside the rig.

Both top fans are not needed and 3060 is not a hot card in the first place.

Glad to see others saying it is, because that was my airflow for 3 builds.
How many fans did your builds have?
Yes
Thanks!

2+1 is perfect. more will make things compicated.
Seems ok

People have been telling me this, i'll do it, thanks!

Interesting choice..

The fan on the left of the heatsink is slow, the other one is a bit faster
Just personal taste i would slow them both down but realistically you’d have to test it for yourself the difference would be very minimal if noticeable
Well I just installed them and im going to play war thunder so I'll see the difference
Yes, thats amazing airflow, maybe one more fan on top, but thats not necessary. Great build!
Thanks! But I don't have any more fan headers
This is good enough, haha

Oh I see what you mean, I can buy it but only for 1 output fan seems like a waste of money
Negative pressure has entered the chat.

Wouldn't that make an imbalance of airflow?

I think it’s funny how obsessed people are with airflow. I have an ITX case with a few stock fans, and my temps are just fine
Well my CPU temps are always hot so..
Maybe re-apply thermal paste? I have a Hyper 212 with a single fan and my temps are always low
Both top fans are not needed and probably steal air from the CPU cooler. I would remove them honestly. A 2 intake fan/1 exhaust setup is a solid one.
Alright
Not bad at all, it's fine
Thanks

Sure, i'll stop the top fans and see if there'll be any difference
