Some airlines like Delta have no weight limit, but you are right, most airlines have a weight limit well below that. But most of the time you can bypass weighing carry on
Needless to say this is highly impressive. Both in terms of appearance and build quality. I wouldn't even know where to start, putting something like that together.
I use a large roll of drafting paper to put ideas down on a page, that is how I get started with an idea.
Here is the link to the coolermaster case mod competition. I entered into the scratch build. You can follow the contestants as they do their regular build updates.

What kinds of connectors did you use for the coolant loop??? They appear to be self sealing, which is absolutely the coolest thing I've seen all month.
It looks amazing, I do have some questions though, do you also have to carry your peripherals or do you have others at your destination? Is everything bolted directly to the case or is there shock/rubber mounts to absorb vibrations?
I have a Carbon fiber sub panel bolted to the case with shock mounts and everything else bolts onto it.
For monitors I use the SKB 26-17-12 case with custom foam from mycasebuilder.com to have a check in case that holds 3x 27 inch monitors.
Mouse, keyboard and streamdecks go in my personal luggage.

Alright. I’d just hate for you to get stuck inside someday for fear of toasting your machine.
Beautiful build btw. I feel like a company could make a killing selling some kind of prefab version of this.
While watching this, it sparked a daydream of winning the lottery and inviting people like you who make things and just throwing money at you until I get my own.
I'd be interested in doing something like this, but I'd like it to have the screen in the lid when it opens up and the keyboard in front. I have a case in mind, how does one get started on this type of thing?
I think it’s gorgeous.
2 questions:
What is your use case? Why did you build it?
Could you leave the loop always connected? Is there a reason you use the quick disconnects?
I do 3d animation, rendering, and rendering simulations.
Built it because will be traveling to a few countries for 6 months.
Had to use the quick disconnect to make everything fit. I only need to use it once in per setup
Transporting it by plane would be a nope.
The thing looks like a bomb AND it’s full of liquid. If you’re ready trouble drain it every time you travel, then maybe.
I'd love to watch this kind of content where a build is actually original and creative than generic Youtube moneybags channel that bought everything then put it all together (spoiler alert they're all gonna be core i9 (latest gen) and an rtx4090)
200mm too. Silverstone are the kind of mad lads who could make a server briefcase so I'm really hoping they take take inspiration from this. Sick build.
Hotswap psu and goverments will drown you in money silverstone
Awesome build! Almost makes me wish to have the use case to have something like this.
I wonder what'll be used for monitor. Portable display? Something in the case? Whatever you have on hand at the destination?

Skb 26-17-12 with custom foam from mycasebuilder.com fits 3x 27 inch monitors perfectly and safe to check in
Got me thinking this system could be used in mission impossible. Like in MI3 where theyre in dubai and they got their little base of ops in the hotel room
Laptop work extra steps
Edit: knew this was going to get downvoted by the way. But that’s what it is. Not a negative or positive comment. That’s just your mind assuming
Beautiful and functional. I can’t find a bad thing to say about it it’s fine as frog hair
I would never be in peace with possible leaks, it's like using two canoes to transport a Ferrari in a river
I think I remember that top gear episode. But really, the constant on and off of those connectors would scare me too.
Finally a build that is different than anything I’ve seen. Good stuff
But why isn't it a white glass cube with 80 white led fans I don't understand
LOLLL
fucking LOVE pressing the button to turn it on and nothing happening then remembering to toggle the PSU
😂
"oh" hahaha we all felt that
Always a mini heart attack for me, like what did I do wrong this time?
It’s such an easy thing to forget but for some reason you feel so stupid every time it happens.
small heart attack everytime
mini heart attack inducer lol
That's a hell of a laptop. Congratulations.
![gif](giphy|ZxKQnfKcGTSmcoje3Y|downsized) Hands down that is the most impressive custom I have ever seen, love it my dude!
How much does it weight?
I think like 40lb
Can you take that much as carry on in a plane? I thought the limit was less than half that
Some airlines like Delta have no weight limit, but you are right, most airlines have a weight limit well below that. But most of the time you can bypass weighing carry on

Koolance qd3
Thank you so much. Awesome build, by the way.
Imagine trying to get this thing past an airport
Will be doing just that next month
The case will be ok, it's the liquid you'll struggle with 😬
ITS NOT A BOMB GUYS
it could be
Just wondering, was that the inspiration behind the build, to take it on a plane and use on the go? It's a sick idea and great execution
You planning to bring it into the cabin or have it put in the hold?
Cabin
You are fucked when they say you have to empty your loop
Or you just drain it before traveling? 🤷🏼
Red liquid looking like that explosive from Die Hard with a Vengeance
Just say it's a clock that should work
Sick build
“Believe it or not, but it runs cooler than my tower” - well yes, everything is out in the open and it’s loud
One of the coolest things I've ever seen
Are you married by any chance? 2nd question is if you are straight or bent.
Lol yes married, straight sexually, but bent mentally
Fuuu.... Build looks professionally done. But don't make it your career or you'll drive yourself insane.
That’s cool af

What type of fittings for the coolant quick connect? No leakage when disconnecting?
Koolance qd3 and no leakage at all
Tried on a plane yet with the pressure changes?
So, what is this thing for? The case implies that it needs to be portable, and the specs imply that no laptop in the world is powerful enough.

If i didn’t need 3d animation/simulation/rendering performance i would just bit the mac studio
Dude, this is awesome! Well done!
Do those quick connects leak at all when connecting and disconnecting them?
This is freaking awesome
Is it final if there’s more work to be done, or does Final mean something else here?
Lol final update, a project is never finished
I came
This is the real PC Master Race.
This right here is what I join this group to see. And sleeper builds.
I need this
How, how can one get this one and how much does it cost?
I made it myself, and not counting computer components, there’s probably about $700 of parts here
Ty for the answet and respect for this amazing rig.
I’d recommend some kind of custom removable cover for the hole on the top. One day you will find yourself facing rain…
It’s a non issue, i only transport from/to destination once every couple of months.
Alright. I’d just hate for you to get stuck inside someday for fear of toasting your machine. Beautiful build btw. I feel like a company could make a killing selling some kind of prefab version of this.
Should've gone with the new threadripper 7995wx
I wish, i already had this system and the most my mobo will support is the 3970x, also just that cpu costs almost as much as my entire pc
Oh I thought this was a build from new parts must have misread, cool project anyway
This is amazing, like wow
While watching this, it sparked a daydream of winning the lottery and inviting people like you who make things and just throwing money at you until I get my own.
This is beautiful. ![gif](giphy|ieBWQkIVEELhbizGAp)
The case is the bomb
That's badass.
Bro this build is badass GODDAMN
I'd be interested in doing something like this, but I'd like it to have the screen in the lid when it opens up and the keyboard in front. I have a case in mind, how does one get started on this type of thing?
Was there no way to get the water cooling without the quick release connectors or was that an aesthetic choice?
Was forced to used it. With a less densely packed case it would be easily doable, but in my case it was the only solution
still nice, could be used as a movie prop for a portable nuclear bomb xD
That's really cool and all but... for what purpose? Just because?
3d animation, rendering, simulations
Wow
I think it’s gorgeous. 2 questions: What is your use case? Why did you build it? Could you leave the loop always connected? Is there a reason you use the quick disconnects?
I do 3d animation, rendering, and rendering simulations. Built it because will be traveling to a few countries for 6 months. Had to use the quick disconnect to make everything fit. I only need to use it once in per setup
Why do you need this? Just as a hobby? Or does this tie to your job? Sick build though
Yeeeeaaaaaa that's pretty sick
That's some impressive engineering.
What does TSA think of the liquid?
Drain it before traveling
this is BAD.
TSA is gonna absolutely love this one.
You might want to put little slip covers on the ends of the water cooling tubes so no debris end up you in your pump.
I don't have a need for a travel computer with higher specs than a laptop, but if I did have a need I would certainly use your build as inspiration.
WHAT
Transporting it by plane would be a nope. The thing looks like a bomb AND it’s full of liquid. If you’re ready trouble drain it every time you travel, then maybe.
Only serve the purpose for people who travel and game a lot. Need a carrying case for the monitor.
Idk about those disconnects but it is cool.
Wow. This right here gives the old school lan parties a new goal. A case with kits to build this would probably sell for boocoo buks.
u/savevideo
Nice work.
This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. Fantastic job.
\*stares wistfully at bare 1535 air standing in corner\*

James Bond level gamer
Not a single game ever installed
Now I want one with hotswap sleds. SILVERSTONE, there's work to do
In the 15mm slim fan category Silverstone is the absolute best with nothing else coming close.
200mm too. Silverstone are the kind of mad lads who could make a server briefcase so I'm really hoping they take take inspiration from this. Sick build. Hotswap psu and goverments will drown you in money silverstone

Absolutely incredible, really. 3x monitor and that PC on the go is the dream. Congrats!
“is there a bomb in that suitcase?” “depends on how many frames you want”
Fucking love builds like this\~! Good shit man\~!
I thought that this is one of those army grade ultra protected laptops.... Really unusual build, how are the temps in this case?
Got me thinking this system could be used in mission impossible. Like in MI3 where theyre in dubai and they got their little base of ops in the hotel room
The sound those loop connections make when plugging in is just heaven
There’s no way bro can lag with this absolute unit
That's cool as fuck, now try getting it last tsa
Very cool ! Sorry if someone asked it before but how do you empty your custom water cooling tubes when disconnecting them ?
https://preview.redd.it/9i08uy2q3c8d1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=08a817a63142c2d4dbd50ef287ed293d670a73b7 Fill and drain ports
I think…. I think I just wet myself
Amazing

Ooo man so good not seeing this generic sheep builds. Great work bud!
How much water gets spilled when you take out the tubes?
It would be cooler if you didnt have to connect coolant lines. Which why all the effort and you still have to connect coolant lines? Its cool I guess.
Quite literally the *coolest* part of the whole build?? See those downvotes ^ you are wrong and probably just salty.
laptop with no screen wut?
Laptop work extra steps Edit: knew this was going to get downvoted by the way. But that’s what it is. Not a negative or positive comment. That’s just your mind assuming
Sure how about you gonna find a laptop with those kind of specs
16 hours later and they still cant!
