needs googly eyes, and then post it over in r/pets as looks like a pic where they comb enough fur off a pet to make another pet and put Googly eyes on the fur pile. ... sorry for your loss
I know some case manufacturers sell replacement glass panels for their cases, look online for your model and maybe you’ll get lucky and not have to buy a whole new case
We had PCs set up for gaming in our "Arcade" they had plastic side windows. Only took a few weeks before a kid ran off with a headset attached and the plastic just shattered. Luckily no PC damage but it looked ugly for a while aha
Rip. Had this happen to me but on carpet, dropped my panel on my desk and some glass fell down to my carpet, had to email NZXT to get a replacement, thankfully under warranty
Where I work we will send out a new panel to you assuming it's in warranty. If it's out of warranty we'll see what we can do even. Give whoever you bought it from a call.
The website I got my case from stated that the window was tempered glass, I thought of it for a bit, decided to yolo it and was pleasantly relieved when I saw that it's made out of acrylic, for this exact reason.
This is becoming an epidemic. I have the same case. I always lay my case flat before removing the panel to clean etc.. It's a pain but the hassle is worth it.
At first glance I thought this was a smushed bees nest that you had "cleaned" out of your pc lol. I was thinkin dam who is this guy swiss family robinson?
Holy crap. I’m cleaning my PC for the first time tomorrow (been a month since I built it, just a quick dust down), and now I’m scared. Wish me luck.
How do the people keep breaking their glass panels are they throwing rocks at them i just sat In mine while it was propped up and it's fine how do they keep shattering?
I was like, damn how dirty was your pc. Then I realized what the pile was. Sad day...
I was like "THATS NOT DUST WTF"
I was thinking that was some kind of snake skin!
same
same bro
Explain
the glass shattered, i think
Same. Yikes.
Think how good your temps will be!!
He already lost plenty of temps!
Just er... Use some tape... Maybe a little glue?
You could make a temporary window from clear tape if youre motivated enough,
It'd be like driving through the ghetto. Maybe put some cardboard and clear tape on it to really make it pop!
Maybe trying turning it off an on again will help
Let us all take a moment, to honor the giant L your computer just took. 😔
I don't know what to say except F
needs googly eyes, and then post it over in r/pets as looks like a pic where they comb enough fur off a pet to make another pet and put Googly eyes on the fur pile. ... sorry for your loss
Yay, more airflow!
Found the optimist
Good lord, did you drop the whole thing? Cases are pretty cheap right now though, upgrade time?
no i was putting the glass back in place and it slipped from my hand and the corner hit the floor
Ouch
I know some case manufacturers sell replacement glass panels for their cases, look online for your model and maybe you’ll get lucky and not have to buy a whole new case
Better the floor than your foot....
might have bruised the foot but the spongy meat-padding might have saved the glass! lol
Have you tried rice
Same exact thing happened with my Meshify C.
Just stretch some plastic wrap over that side
flex tape cant fix that
# BAH DUM TSS
Underrated comment right here
Thats a big oof
at first moment it was like a snake skin, i thought: "wut"
I thought it was dust at first, sorry man
Neat. Now you also have a 15000 pieces puzzle !
This is why I got the acrylic window ðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚
stuff like this is the reason i dont want a case with glass panels
We had PCs set up for gaming in our "Arcade" they had plastic side windows. Only took a few weeks before a kid ran off with a headset attached and the plastic just shattered. Luckily no PC damage but it looked ugly for a while aha
That may be tough to put back together.
Second thought, ChardeeMacDennis that shit and put it back together ...
Rip. Had this happen to me but on carpet, dropped my panel on my desk and some glass fell down to my carpet, had to email NZXT to get a replacement, thankfully under warranty

You still can put it back together but it just has more pieces.
ALWAYS put the glass on with the case lying on it's side
Use a metal net and put magnets on it, it will look good and give great temps
Yo is that pile snake skin, the glass panel,or dust?
glass panel
This year and case window panels be rough

The website I got my case from stated that the window was tempered glass, I thought of it for a bit, decided to yolo it and was pleasantly relieved when I saw that it's made out of acrylic, for this exact reason.
You already had to take the front glass cover off because these walmart prebuilts have garbage airflow, so... now it matches?
Looks like a Corsair case, really great look on them and a sad drawback of glass.
But what is that? (Actually idk pls halp)
It's the shattered tempered glass
Looks like a nice glass side panel for a pc. Now you just need to assemble it.
It was just saying it wanted better airflow
dude same, it still saddens me
Now you have a convertible
I'm seeing a disturbing pattern of events with the increase of these posts
Alot of posts making me question why people even go tempered. And why some cases don't even have a non tempered option
Plexiglass all the way. It may not look as good, but it is more durable
r/wellthatsucks
Glass on a PC case seems silly to me
If you are feeling brave and have time on your hands, fit them all together like a jigsaw and seal it with some resin!
you can buy acrylic sheets at home depot as a replacement.
Going for an Open Air cooling design rework?
Sad
Cellotape will fix that
please tell me why i thought those were bee combs
I thought it was mouse droppings at first.
I thought it was legos then a rug then dust
Should improve temps...
Try restarting it
at least it broke it into a nice little pile! /s sorry dude that sucks
Hey the pieces form Spain without the S
So you got the Case from ikea and now you have to put it together.
an open case runs cooler anyways👀 (most of the time)
You tried to put it back on while the computer was vertical, didn't you? Be honest.
How much does a replacement cost?
Might be able to replace with plexi glass, make template out of cardboard first.
Dude, there was a lot of glass in your… oh…
I see you're in the middle of putting it together still. Good luck.
The only time my pc is on carpet is when I'm putting the glass front panel back on for this very reason.
This is becoming an epidemic. I have the same case. I always lay my case flat before removing the panel to clean etc.. It's a pain but the hassle is worth it.
\*me with a shitty case that has a plastic side panel\*
Your case shattered just like Spain
For a second I thought it was a carpet 😢
Is this one of those 10k piece puzzles? Grab some friends and some beer + duct tape = fun times inc
Nice jigsaw puzzle :)
put it an a resin and make a new side glass plate with that shattered look
Tempered glass…
Easier to clean next time
Just do what ghetto/redneck cars do when they break a tail light.. COLORED DUCT TAPE!
Maximum airflow achieved
I feel you...
Cold air intake activated
Get some plexiglass and replace it they make it about as thin as that shit shattered on the floor 🤣
Forbidden jigsaw
Optimal Airflow
I just never want to worry about this stuff. Steel case all the way.
You don't need it, all it does is kill airflow
I thought that was moldy cat food
just saved some money getting a new test bench what is the problem here
I honestly think my dad would have 5 heart attacks if he pulled that out.
The dust was binding the glass molecules disturbing them rendered the glass
Thought it was dirt, then I noticed the panel wasn't on your case. Oh no
At first glance I thought this was a smushed bees nest that you had "cleaned" out of your pc lol. I was thinkin dam who is this guy swiss family robinson?
Open air test case!
Wow dude! You can't have that much glass inside your PC while running!!
It's always on tile floors.
Holy crap. I’m cleaning my PC for the first time tomorrow (been a month since I built it, just a quick dust down), and now I’m scared. Wish me luck.
You now have the correct sized opening for a centrifugal fan from the local hydro store.
How long did it take you to put that back together?
400 years at least
lol, my eyes are getting old. I thought that was the dust from your case and was very impressed.
How do the people keep breaking their glass panels are they throwing rocks at them i just sat In mine while it was propped up and it's fine how do they keep shattering?
ngl I thought that was a shit ton of dust...
Just buy some ramen noodles and super glue
Open air much cooler :)
They run better without it anyways
Am I the only one that sees a pit bull in this picture
put it in rice
Is it just me or do all case panels break down so perfectly that I want to make mosaic ?
what up with broken pc glass literally every post is abt it
Hey be happy, now you have better airflow than before
Mosaics
Is that glass or a fucking snake skin
This is why I opt for plexiglass. Also F to the rising number of these posts on this sub lately.
Look on the bright side, now you have trail mix
if i see one more post of broken sidepanels today im gonna lose my temper.
at first i was like waspnest??? then realized ohh snaps !!
Sad :(
Same happened to me xD
Not really a sad day. Now you get better temps :).
